He presses his forehead against mine, still bracing my leg on him, a quiver dashes through my core and I rest my head against him.

“Sinead, what you are doing to me?”

I pant and lick my lips savoring the taunting suspension between us, I can feel the thickness of him, the same throbbing ache building and burning. Ready to break down on us. I exhale slowly and softly reply, “
Fuck me like you’ve never taken anyone before…”

“I wouldn’t get too comfortable,” he warns adjusting his cap back on. He’s dressed and I’m tugging on my shirt. Neither one of us race to put our clothes back on, I catch him watching me while I button my jeans. My body still weakened from him, from the incredible feeling he freed from me. It wasn’t anything remotely slow or tender, he made me feel things I’d only fantasized about, I’ve never had a man make me unravel so passionately fast and hard, and now I’m just trying to regroup.

Still, after him seeing me in all my glory, I feel a familiar blush warming my face. I flip my hair over to one side and conceal part of my face from him.

“You’ve completely worn me out,” I tease and pretend I’m solely focused on retying my shoe.

“Oh, I doubt that.”

I peek out from the strands of my hair and smile. Somehow I can sense his playful intent before he even pounces my way. I make a lame attempt to spring back, but I’m acutely aware of his strength and his readiness. He snags my arm and lowers us to the ground slowly. His hard, aroused body cages over mine and he grins every time I squirm beneath him.

I curl my fingers around his hair and mumble, “How do you know me so well?”

“By this…”

His hot enticing breath drifts across my nose, my lips, and along my cheek. He smells insanely seductive, sharp, and rich and it sends a shiver through me. It reminds of when I first sat inside his truck, enclosed and perfectly surrounded with his scent.

I lift my neck up and try to seize his mouth with mine, but he resists. His cunning smile stretches further as he softly chuckles. His hands lightly supports either side of my face and then he deliberately licks his lips. He’s testing me, torturing my desires, because he makes sure his succulent mouth is very visible, wet, and begging to be kissed.

Again I attempt to raise my head up, but this time he tilts his head to the side. As if he’s holding us in slow motion. Slowly and ever so cautiously he connects his lips to mine with a feather light touch, and then backs off. He taunts my mouth over and over building the anticipation of his kiss and I respond to every tease. He keeps caressing, nipping at my lips and backs away, until finally I break. I lock my fingers at the nape of his neck and savor the pleasure of tasting him. Our tongues meet, exploring provocatively and then he starts to whisper, “
You and I both know…

“What we want right now,” I state rather quickly.

“But—”

I laugh against his lips. “Oh my God, you’re not doing this to me now.”

“I’m afraid I’m gonna have to, but again, it’s not in a negative sense.”

I softly bite his lower lip and whisper back, “Anything will be taken negatively if you move your body away from me.”

“You sure about that?”

“Positive.”

“I think I can convince you this could be a good thing.”

He lifts himself from my body and takes my hand, helping me up. Standing upright I brush the remnants of dirt and grass off. When I find his spirited eyes, I feel the giddiness swarming inside me. Whatever he has planned I’m in trouble.

He fishes out his phone, scrolls through a list and hits play. Music croons out and an upbeat hum of a guitar serenades us. It’s not Kip, I pretty much know that man’s raw and rustic voice by heart now, thanks to Trey.

He extends out our right hands together. “Now, this is what we’re going to do, I want you to start with your right foot and I’m going to start off with my left.”

He takes two quick steps, staying in place, and then two slow steps. I laugh inside, because our feet facing each other look like complete polar opposites. Him in his rough and rugged brown boots and my hipster red plaid sneakers. I would have never imagined in a thousand dreams that I would be standing here, learning to dance to some country tune, learning to ride a horse six times the size of me and being completely swept off my feet by him. I drag my amused smile upward. “
Okay
, I think I can handle that.”

“The quick steps take one beat and the slow steps takes two.” He places my hand on his shoulder and then grips both of his on my waist. “Let’s try it together.”

I can’t think when I feel the heat of his hands on me, so with jumbled up thoughts I try to move my feet like his. But as I start to move following his steps I use my left foot instead of my right. He grins and tips his head making sure our eyes don’t lose connection and softly taps my thigh. “Start with one,” he instructs traveling his hand up, gently grazes my backside and finally resting his hand respectively back on my waist, he’s sly, but I felt the way he lingered there.

“Right,” I confirm nodding my head and make a mental note which foot, two steps, one quick and the other slow.
And what was it again about beats?

“Okay, now rest your left hand on my shoulder,” he says and gently places it just so, making sure all my fingers are neatly aligned against him. He moves his shoulder forward. “You’ll feel me move you, and then we’ll start to step back in a counterclockwise motion. Okay?”

“Okay.”

His music continues drumming out and he tilts his head signaling to me that we’re fixing to start, I quickly repeat inside my head his instructions. And then it hits me, the lyrics and I almost miss my steps as he moves me.

He glides us in time, quick and then slow, our feet two steppin’ it as if our bodies already knew the rhythm. I shut off the over analyzing part of my brain and let the music fuel my motion. Trey circles us around and I watch as his crooked smile grows. He scoots our feet quicker and as we dance across the autumn kissed field I fall even more in love with him. Everything in my life before was always fast, never taking the time to slow things down, never having a chance to catch a meaningful breath, but now he’s the one person leading me and not expecting anything else. Just dancing, feeling, moving to what already feels right.

“Shake it for me?” I taunt him as he whirls me around.

He lifts a shoulder and taunts back, “I thought the song was fitting.”

“So now am I your country girl? Did this dance suddenly convert me from my California ways?”

He spins me around again and hugs my body closer as he looks into my eyes and replies, “No, I think I’ve converted you…” He pauses, squints upward for a whole second like he’s thinking and continues with, “When I said…
Thank you for calling Roadside, my name is Trey…”

“Oh, really?”

He smiles that gorgeous smile of his and retorts, “I had you at Trey.”

I laugh and shake my head at him. His feet remind me we’re still dancing and before I know it he twirls me around and around and I feel set free, unleashed and pardoned from all my cares. We dance and laugh for the rest of the day until the evening’s sundown cascades its cue that the night’s about to fall.

Chapter 22

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep.

But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.”

–Robert Frost

I run my
hand over his double-wide dresser and I stop, twisting a strand of hair around my index finger debating the thousand ways tonight could go. My solemn reflection echoes the secret hidden behind my eyes. Guilt strings up my heart and hangs it for all to see and as soon as he steps though the doorway with bowls of hot stew in each hand, I quickly crumble my thoughts away.

“Wow, you weren’t kidding about food.”

He hovers by the doorway. “Would you rather we eat downstairs?”

I ease myself down onto his bed as he sits across from me. My fingers brush against his as he offers a bowl to me.

“Here’s fine,” I reply inhaling the hearty aroma. “This is not a canned stew, I take it?”

He grins and glances at me. “No this is
not
Dinty Moore, my sister slow cooks this stuff all day long.”

I dip my spoon in and stir the chunks of delicious beef, carrots, and red-skinned potatoes. I smell the blissful scent of onions, garlic, thyme, and rosemary all blended richly together. “Wait…there’s bacon in this?”

He raises a brow and nods.

“You’re kidding, right?”

No…
” He rubs his thumb along the edge of his chin and eyes me and the bowl of stew. “Have you never had bacon
before?”

I take a bite and close my eyes like I just died and went to heaven, probably making all kinds of inappropriate noises. My mouth, tongue, taste buds and everything else in between explodes into its own private climax. And after I swallow, making one last cherishing highly sexual sound, I answer, “Not in a long, long time.”

Trey immediately scoops out the rest of his bacon chunks and dunks them into my bowl. “I’ll give you all the bacon in the house if you make that sound again.”

I laugh him off and curb myself from making any more absurd, noticeable sounds.

“My sister is a vegetarian, so it’s kind of hard to sample the finer things in life, like bacon.”

“Ouch, well I guess she wouldn’t like this then.”

“Oh no,
and
don’t tell her anything about this or even the Doritos. You’re sworn to secrecy.” I reply before I take another bite. He tears off a piece of crunchy bread he’d brought up and hands some over to me. I watch as he dips his in the velvety brown sauce and takes his own bite. I think about his succulent lips, the way he chews, to the way his hands move and then I wish we were back down by the stream.

We finish our stew which is perfect to end the evening with, feeling warm and full. We both flop back on his bed at the same time and look at each other, grinning like were two runaway teenagers.

“Stay with me tonight, Sin,” he asks sternly piercing his dark sinful eyes into me.

I heave in a deep, long breath and shift my eyes toward the ceiling, I want to stay with him, but one question plucks at my nerves making me feel uncomfortable.

“What about your sister? I don’t want to cause any problems, Trey.”

He combs his fingers calmly through his hair and tucks one hand behind his head. “I really don’t think you want to stay in the stables with Spade, do you?” he teases with a light nudge in my arm. “Besides this has nothing to do with Mel, I want you with me tonight.”

I roll over onto my side and prop my chin on my palm. “And why tonight? Is something special going to happen?”

I love how his eyes can suddenly change from playful to dark and mysterious, but now, now I fully comprehend
the look
. I saw it back in the field just before
he—

His left arm swings out and around me, penning my back flat against his bed. His hand grips my wrist above my head as he leans in next to my ear and softly says, “You had quite a mouth on you when we were…” He declines his mouth possessing my neck, leaving nothing but heated lingering kisses.

“Intimate?” I groan out, my head pushing back against the pillow.

He chuckles against my neck.

“So will you stay?”

“Tonight?” I whisper out squirming with each touch from his mouth. A mouth I wonder how many women he’s seduced, because he’s extremely skilled at it.

“Yes,” he responds as his kisses diminish from my neck and lower, cherishingly he presses his lips along my collarbone. My body tingles and sends goose bumps all up and down me. With my free hand I sweep my fingers through his hair and arch my back as if on cue. My own body already responds and reacts to his simplest tactics, but I agree wholeheartedly with it. His mouth is just a wink, a sample of what’s to come.

Okay
, I’ll stay. On one condition…no, make that two.”

He lifts his head up and my body whimpers from the lack of his touch.

“What’s your conditions?”

“Will there be bacon in the morning and I need to let the warden know where I’m staying tonight.”

His hand releases my arm, maneuvering his body next to me. He lays one finger on my stomach. “Yes, there will be mounds of bacon in the morning,” he replies and lays another finger on me, which is only inches away from my bellybutton. My breathing races to keep up with my rabid heart. He knows the effect he has on me as he smiles smugly. “…and as for contacting your warden, I didn’t know you were under house arrest.”

“It’s after dark, Chelsea’s afraid I’ll turn into something and scare people.”

“And what is it you’ll turn into?”

“I guess we’ll have to wait and see.”

Trey’s bathroom has a different feel than most of the house, it’s a fetching dark beige and coupled with large glass windows facing the main driveway. It’s modest but trendy, in a guy sense, there’s no potted exotic flowers or soy waxed candles burning. A matching set of hand towels are neatly folded beside the tiled sink. I don’t expect to see any more color in the room because everything feels so natural and serene already. I bite on my lip and try not to snoop around too much, even though I would really love to know the name of the cologne he wears or soap he uses. I could buy some and take it with me when I travel the old route again. A keepsake, a little something to remember him by.

I glance behind me warily and sit against the sink, careful not to bump anything off and text Chelsea.

Hey, I’m having a sleepover at Trey’s.

I wait a few minutes before she responds.

Are you sure about this? –Chelsea

I scoff and type back.
Yeah, I’m sure—I’m sure.

Did you pack your feather duster? –Chelsea

I don’t need a feather duster.

Oh, Sin you have no idea what you’re missing. –Chelsea

Shut up, I don’t need a feather duster.

I turn off my phone and start messing with my hair, turning my face one way and then the other in the mirror, checking to see if I have a stowaway on board, a leaf or something glued to my forehead. I lick my lips, breath into my hand and sigh at myself.
What am I doing?

“Sin? Is everything okay in there?” Trey’s voice beckons deeply from the other side of the bathroom door. I freeze, the sound of his tenor rushes haunting memories of how sexy his voice truly is.
God, I am knee deep in trouble here
. That’s all it takes, a mumble, him saying my name, just a word and I’m chasing after the flames he builds inside me. What kind of man does this?

Ah…yeah
…yeah, everything is fine,” I sputter out taking a few steps closer to the door. I press my hand against it and ask, “Trey?”

“Yeah?”

“It might be safer if I stay in here tonight.”

“You think so?”

“It’s purely for your own safety, you know.”

“Well, I’m pretty confident I can handle whatever it is you change into.”

I smile and lean my forehead against the door, trying to envision him standing on the other side. Wondering if he changed clothes and if his hair is still disheveled, hanging over his eyes. My hand drops to my chest attempting to slow down the rioting tempo in my heart. It pounds through me as my next question dangles from my lips. I’ve thought about it late at night, wondered, wanted, and now, maybe I have a chance to ask. My cheeks feel the familiar fevering heat wash over and I swallow hard.

“I know this request is kinda late, since I’ve already given my answer in staying the night, but…”

Oh, god, I’m really doing this, but even it’s just once, one time I get to experience this with him. I will never ask for anything ever again.

“Sin?”

I suck in the deepest breath and rush out, “Will you talk dirty to me, here, now…just like we are?”

“You really are one adventure after another,
Sin.
So, how should we start?”

He’s game and I exhale a massive huge sigh of relief and smile. My body’s already reaching a boiling point merely out of pure embarrassment alone. I spin around and bite on my thumbnail, I’ve never had phone sex before, and this is a little different. I’ve wanted this chance, and now that I have it I have no clue where we should start.

I grip the bottom of my cardigan and yank it over my head, and then my T-shirt. I don’t bother folding them or tossing them onto the sink basin, I just let them fall where they may. I shimmy my jeans off next, letting them collect with the rest. My sneakers and socks are already in his bedroom, thank god, because by the time I fiddle with the front clasp on my bra I start to feel wimpy and unsure. I turn and lean my head against the door frustrated with myself.

“You know what I would do to you right now?” His seductive voice soaks through the wooden door between us and my body responds.

“What would you do to me right now?”

“I want you to close your eyes and dim the lights, the switch should be right across from you.”

I look straight ahead and just like he says, there it is. I dim the lights and slide down the door.

“We’re in a parking lot, against someone else’s car and any moment now they’re going to come and find us.” He takes a second and then I sense his body leaning, shuffling his movement. I lick the dryness from my lips and imagine his scene, a crammed parking lot, dimly lit and only the echo of our breathing resounds.

“I’d run my fingers lightly over your neck. God, I love your neck…” His voice lowers and deepens, it’s more seductive as he says, “And kiss a path up to your gorgeous mouth and suck on your lower lip.”

Slowly I slip my hand beneath the purple fabric of my panties and feel how scandalously wet he makes me. My mind paints us in the middle of nowhere, against someone else’s car and the allurement of us getting caught makes me more aroused than ever.

“Spread your legs for me, Sin. I want to roam my hand down your stomach and unbutton your jeans. Keeping an eye out, making sure no one’s watching us.”

“What if someone is watching? I barely whisper circling my aching clit.

“Let’em, but they can’t touch you. Tell me how wet you are?”

I finger myself in and out before I reply, “Very…wet.”

“My fingers ease into you and I rub my thumb where you’re burning, throbbing the most, do you feel me?”

I drag my fingers upward, stroking the harden little nub, throbbing just like he said. “I feel you, Trey.”

“That’s it Baby, I run my thumb harder, thrusting my fingers in deeper, don’t hold back, I need to hear you…”

I simulate his words, but I know the faster and deeper I go, I’m fighting a losing a battle. My toes curl tightly and skid across the floor, my body quivers and I moan out for him.

“Don’t stop, Sin…I want so badly to drop to my knees and take you in my mouth, but we’re almost out of time…”

The thought of his hot mouth sucking, licking, consuming my orgasm into a raptured addicting bliss. I
can’t,
no, I won’t fight it anymore and let it take me. My back arches as the tip of my toes touch the cold hard flooring, but I don’t care, my mind melds with my trembling body. I toss my head to the side and release moan after moan all the while I’m still imagining him going down on me. My own sexual cries drown out the last words he says and then I feel the door shake behind me.

The doorknob jiggles, startling me and I practically spring back against the wall behind the door. I clutch at the open clasp between my breasts and meet his eyes like I was caught red handed. My eyes stray over his smooth bare chest and falls to his jeans, unzipped and barely hanging around his narrow hips. A wave of need swells inside when I see him. He’s beautifully hard and incomparable to any man I’ve been with.

We both moisten our lips at the same time, not a word expels out. His eyes send me a possessive glance, and that’s all he has to do. I don’t move one single muscle as he strips his jeans off and twists a handle inside the shower. The water sounds like a teasing rainstorm in the center of a yearning desert. Barren and thirsty exactly how I’m feeling right now, wanting him so desperately.
