Bastian
set his glass down and strode to the door, where his butler stood ready with
his coat and hat. “When shall we expect you to return, sir?”

“I am
heading to Martine’s establishment, Cedric. Go to bed. I know not when I will
return.”

Tonight
he would ask for two women, and while neither would submit to him in the way he
instructed Mary Elizabeth, he looked forward to being thoroughly distracted.

Cordelia walked
with the marchioness through the city streets, wondering if she would truly
find anything that would aid in keeping her disguised. For the first time in
her life, Cordelia felt guilty, dishonest, and out of place. She kept her head
down, avoiding eye contact, and lucky enough, her hood kept her recognizable
hair hidden.

“I feel awkward,
my lady. This was entirely a bad idea, not to mention bad form.”

Pish
posh, Cordelia. However, I have to ask, and please
forgive my impertinence. Do you not miss any of this? You owned one of the most
sought after wardrobes and a well-designed, elegantly decorated home. Surely
the country does not compare to any of town’s conveniences?”

Cordelia stopped
just outside a supply shop and looked up slowly ’til her gaze met with her
companions’. “I do miss it, to a degree, but I am done. That was then. This is
now. I have Matthew’s welfare to consider.”

“You could offer
him more, if you returned to your station. While your wealth would not be the
same, your son would have the same privileges as any other well-born son.”

Isabel raised a
valid point, but the fact remained that no one would ignore that her son was a
bastard. Bastian’s offspring and heir. If people recognized her, what would
they say? Would they come up to her and question where she had been all this
time? What if they saw her with Matthew? Would they put the details together
and see the resemblance?

Panic crept up her
spine, until the only thing she could think of was leaving. Cordelia clasped
onto the marchioness’ wrist and started walking back in the direction they had
come.

“What in heaven’s
name are you doing? We still have yet—”

“Please, I will
explain…I…we…need to get out of here. I cannot do this. I need my son.”

“But Matthew is
with my nursemaids. He is in perfect health and in capable hands.”

“You would not
understand. Please, I would like to leave.” Cordelia pleaded as they approached
their carriage.

Isabel stared at
her with confusion, but stepped into the wagon silently. Guilt washed over
Cordelia in waves. She was confused herself. The main purpose of going to town
was to find new clothing for her and her son. The marchioness had been generous
enough to cover the cost of the items, given she no longer had access to her
husband’s accounts.

Whatever pin money
she had left after the accident, she had stowed away for whatever needs she had
and for the expense of her and her son whilst living in the small and cramped cottage.

“Whatever has you
spooked, Cordelia?”

“I was afraid.
Afraid that someone would recognize me. Honestly, I have no idea why I thought
going to town myself was a good idea. I will just send Davy along with Missus
Miller, and once they have picked up the items, then I can see to visiting
Bastian at his estate. Perhaps Lord Thompson would be able to assist with that.
Do you think the
marquess
would aid me?”

She watched as the
marchioness looked down and folded her hands in her lap. “I know not of what he
will say upon the matter. However, I am certain he would help you, as long as
he had your promise that you mean no harm. Much has transpired, and from what I
know, Lord Wycliffe man grieved. He mourned for so long now, that he has only
begun to return to society as a man ready to take on the world.”

Now what does she mean by that?
“Isabel,
do you mean to say he is courting another woman?”

“If courting is
what you would like to call it… Let me be frank, my dear—the man has frequented
Martine’s establishment.
’Tis
rumored that she is
trying to turn her girls into reputable courtesans, and apparently, an offer on
some red-headed gel of hers has been made…proposed… Who knows what is true or
not? I would caution you to proceed gently. I imagine that man will take ill
the moment he sees a ghost from his past.”

“That is precisely
why I need someone strong with me. I have not ventured to those parts in some
time now, and I need someone who will prepare him for the visit. There simply
is no other way for us to do this.”

Or is there?

The thought had
crossed her mind to have the
marquess
invite him to
Stoughton Hall, but it would inconvenience the family even more, and she simply
could not bring herself to ask any more favors of them. Having the
marquess
bring her to Bastian’s estate after dark was the
only manner on how to deliver her proposal.

Chapter Three

Bastian lay back
with his arms crossed behind his head. The two ladies had done a marvelous job
taking care of his relief. When he then requested they help each other achieve
theirs’, he observed with amusement how lovely they looked caressing each
other. His cock began to swell again as he watched one of the girls on bended
knee licking the others’ cunt. The soft moans and hungry lapping made him
crazy.

“My lord, you
should join us. We should not be the only ones experiencing pleasure.”

The invitation had
him vaulting from the bed. He picked up the dark haired girl and placed her on
the bed, lying down flat, before turning to the blonde. “You, my dear, can
continue what you started. Get on all fours, and I shall fuck your cunt from
behind. Perhaps I might even play with your tight little arse.” He slapped her
on her creamy white rear. “Tell me, Daisy, have you ever had anyone fuck you in
the ass?”

She only grinned
and then whispered, “No, my lord, I shall reserve that honor for you.”

“A most excellent
answer.”

Daisy crawled on
all fours in between the others’ legs and began to lap up the girl’s juices.

Damn. I can smell her from back here.
The sudden need to eat her himself was strong, but for now, Daisy’s ass had to
do.

Bastian dipped his
fingers into her pussy, and then tasted her. It was the most wonderful scent of
sex he had experienced in a while. His release, mixed with her juices—heaven.
He fingered her again, this time taking a moment to pitch her swollen nub. Up
and down his fingers slid, until he planted a smack on her mound. Daisy moaned
into the other girl’s pussy. The room’s essence was purely hedonistic.
God, how I love fornicating
.

“Enough of this,
Daisy, I’m going to fuck you hard. No one is to release until I say so,” he
ground out through clenched teeth. Then, he rammed into her and rubbed her cunt
again. Only this time when he withdrew his fingers from her sex, he brought his
finger to the puckered hole of her bottom.

In and out, he
continued to pump into her, while every so often dipping his finger into her
pussy to lubricate her rear. Until the haze now beginning to fill him became
interrupted with the needy moan of the girls. “No coming until I say so,
ladies,” he growled.

He slowed down his
pace until his balls began to draw up close to his body tightly. Bastian slowly
and effortlessly slid a finger inch by inch into Daisy’s ass. Her cheeks
clenched at his intrusion, so he pulled his finger out and slapped her bottom.

“Now, now,
sweetheart, I’m not finished.” He would wait until he blew his load into her,
and then he would ask if she would entertain more later that night.

“Damn it!” His
release imminent, he shouted, “Now, girls. Fucking come loud and hard. Daisy,
do not stop eating her cunt until I say so.”

Pumping furiously
now, he tensed as pulled out, spilling his seed over her asshole. When Daisy
began to cry from her own release, he inserted his finger into her rear to the
hilt. The girl on the bottom bucked beneath them from her own orgasm.

Bastian collapsed
onto the bed next to the girl on the bottom with Daisy on top of both of them.
Today’s romp had certainly been a surprise. And if he calculated correctly,
they had been at this for six hours straight. A record, since he and Cordelia
had once spent five hours doing the same. His Cordelia had demonstrated her
submissiveness to him in a way that touched his soul.

His heart wrenched
at the memory. He was done for now.

Shouting in the
hall caught his attention as he raised his head from the bed.

The door swung
open.

“What in damnation
are they doing here? Get out! Now! The two of you,” Mary Elizabeth screamed.

Christ! I am in for it now.

“How could
you…you…you infernal man! We had an arrangement.”

“That we did, my
dear. But we ended it because you wanted to secure a more substantial
settlement. What we had was nice, but this,” he gestured to the air between
them, “Is no longer an arrangement. Find yourself a protector who will not only
satisfy you, but will cater to your every whim. I am sure there is such a man
out there who will not hesitate to make you his mistress.”

“I do not want
anyone else. I want you!” she cried out.

The proprietor
joined them. “What is the meaning of this, Mary Elizabeth?”

Tears streaked her
cheeks, and all Bastian could think of doing was getting his clothes back on.
He rose from the bed and walked to the chair he had tossed his clothes onto
hours ago.

“Need I remind
you, Mary Elizabeth that your arrangement with his lordship has ended? And need
I remind you that Lord Chalcroft is waiting for you in the parlor. He has made
a very interesting and promising proposal and desires to go over the details
with the both of us. Come along now. Lord Wycliffe is a paying customer, after
all, and has paid handsomely to afford the privacy he desires.”

She turned to him
as he buttoned up his jacket. “My lord, if there is anything I can do to
rectify this intrusion, just say the word.”

“As a matter of
fact, madam, there is one thing you can do.” He looked over at Mary Elizabeth
before returning his gaze to the proprietor. “Have Daisy sent to my townhouse
around six o’clock. I would like to see how she fares outside of this
establishment.”

“Certainly, my
lord, I will have her dropped off and our footman will collect her the next
morning.”

“No, no, my dear.
He may collect her precisely five hours later. Consider it that I am wanting to
test out the waters, so to speak.”

The madam smiled
and winked. “I understand perfectly, Lord Wycliffe. It is a pleasure doing
business with you, sir.”

“Likewise, madam.”

Hopefully, Mary Elizabeth will get the hint that we are through.

As expected, the
courtesan arrived at Bastian’s estate at six o’clock, wearing a gown of a
scandalous red hugging her fine, feminine curves. Her bosom was nearly
bursting, and if he had to guess, she probably wore nothing beneath. Something
he appreciated, but was not necessary. His only plan for tonight was to see how
well she behaved with company present. He wanted to observe her table manners
and how well she could think on a whim.

If he was
considering on making the acquaintance of another fine female specimen, she
would have to be prepared for all that was expected of him. He could not
entertain guests and have a companion who was ill mannered and insulted the
expectations of proper decorum. Despite his flair for untamed sexual urges and
his need to dominate, he still had to behave like an earl in the eyes of the
public. He still had his various tenants and business associates to deal with.

Which is probably
what bothered him so much about Cordelia. There was a woman who had impeccable
manners and knew how to please him. Unfortunate though that she had belonged to
another.

There was not much
Bastian regretted in this life. Even coveting the Downsbury’s wife had not
bothered him in the least. But he honestly wished that the Duke of Brimley
would have ended his life. Things would have been so much easier for them—less
complicated and taxing.

That was the only
time he had ever considered marriage. But the woman belonged to another, and
now she was dead. Fat ounce of good did the situation fare. He physically shook
himself.
Stop thinking about her, man.

“Your home is
quite handsome, my lord,” Daisy addressed as she walked passed him, taking a
moment to squeeze his rear. “Do you entertain here often?”

“Sometimes. I
imagine now that things have settled, the gents will come calling again, though
I do expect to be called to parties and all. If things work out between us,
Daisy, and I do say liberally, I am interested in seeing what you have to
offer.”

The young woman
giggled and flounced over to the dais. “Hmm…I have plenty to offer, my lord.
The question is—how much more do you plan on corrupting me?”

Wouldn’t you like to know?
