Alien Mine (Zerconian Warriors Book 7) (19 page)

Rye shook his head. “I warned him.”

Willa sniffed. “He got what he deserved. He’ll think twice before pulling a stunt like that again.”

Thor chuckled as he sat down next to her and pulled her onto his lap. It was good to see him smiling, the strain of the last few weeks easing from his face. “I cannot believe Willa turned him pink.”

“I can’t believe he thought he could tie her to a tree and there wouldn’t be consequences. I would not want to get on the wrong side of Willa.”

Koran moved over and pulled Mila up for a hug. Darac might be furious at being turned pink, but what he didn’t realize is that Willa’s prank had brought some much needed fun into a group who had been through hell these last few days.

“Hmm, I think I’m going to like living with you lot,” Elika said with a small smile.

“Want to go back to our quarters?” Thor whispered in her ear.

Lucy nodded and he picked her up, carrying her out of the room. A wolf-whistle followed. She’d bet anything that was Zoey. A thrill of delight raced up her spine. The idea of christening their home held more appeal than she’d let on.

Their home. Wow, that was something she never thought she would have.

“What brought that smile onto your face?” he asked as he entered their quarters.

“You. The thought of spending the rest of my life with you.”

“You are mine. Forever.”
