Beauty & The Biker (14 page)

One by one, the girls, including my sister, disappear into a room. Three bidders and myself remain. I step forward ready to get this over with.  Goldoni holds his hand up stopping me.

“Sorry gentleman, bidding is over this one is special, and she belongs to me for now.”  His mouth curves into a wicked grin as he sees the distaste on my face.

The men appear displeased but leave without a word.

Goldoni takes my hand and leads me back into the room I was in earlier.

“Have a seat Isabella.” He gestures to the chair, pretending to be friendly.

I smile politely. “I’d much prefer to stand.” There is no way he is going to put his greasy paws on me.

He takes a seat on the desk, appearing smug. His dark hair appearing wet under the glare of the track lighting. I imagine he was handsome in his youth. When he smiles there is the hint of dimples, suppressed by his bloated appearance.

Goldoni is a large man with broad shoulders and a protruding gut. His dark eyes rake over my body.

“Come to me Isa,” he demands.

I shake my head, hugging my torso. “Why am I here? I want to speak to Tristian.” I need to stall him. I need to buy Tristian time. He’ll come for me, I know he will.

He sighs, wiping his hand across the back of his thick neck.   A large vein pulses near his Adam’s apple. That’s where I will stab him with my scissors, if he touches me.

“Tristian sold you to me. He’s not coming to the rescue.”

“I don’t believe you.” I stand firm. Tristian may have had unconventional ways for showing me his true feelings, but I know deep in my heart that he loves me.  He always has, we share a soul.

“Believe it or not, doesn’t change the circumstances you’ve found yourself in. Now come to me Isa. I’m not a patient man and I always get what I want,” he demands growing more irritated with every passing second.

Hurry up Tristian.

“You can’t have what isn’t yours to take, and I cannot give you what doesn’t belong to you. I gave myself to someone years ago, and until I am reunited with him, I will no longer be whole.” Tristian is my one, he’s the piece of me that I’ve been missing.

“That’s sweet Isa, but you are wearing on my patience.” He raises from the desk, and I slide my fingers up the back of my dress to retrieve my crummy weapon. But it’s the only defense I have. Sometimes a girl has to save herself.

It happens so quickly. Goldoni grabs me by my waist. Gun shots ring out from the other side of the door and I plunge the scissors into his neck, hardly grazing him.  It always worked in the books I read.

He wipes at the scratch on his neck and laughs before pushing me to the side as the door swings open. Gabe.

My eyes widen in shock as he tackles Goldoni.

Chapter 24

Tristian

Looking at Gabe’s GPS I know exactly where Isa is. Goldoni has her at his dummy corporation on the highway. He isn’t as smart as he thinks he is. I know where his secret entrance is. My father sold the property to him about six years ago.

Rain is running her mouth from the backseat while pretty boy snores.

“You are so dumb. Isa is long gone by now with all the others. I can’t believe you never figured it out Tris. The girls who fail their drug test. They don’t get fired. I offer them an opportunity to make better money. Only they don’t know they’ll never see a penny. Goldoni sells them to the highest bidder.” She laughs, cackling like the evil bitch she is.

Turning in my seat I slap her on the mouth. “Shut up bitch.” She laughs louder throwing her head back and wiping the blood from her mouth.

“I wish I could have seen Isa’s face when Goldoni told her you sold her to him. I bet she won’t be so pretty after he fucks her.”

I cock my gun at her and Cy grabs my shoulder. “We might need her breathing.”

He has a point but doesn’t mean I like it. This bitch betrayed me. I let her into my fold and it was all a ploy for my inheritance. The girls getting fired or quitting were being tricked into going to Goldoni willingly, with false promises of making a quick buck. No more. Tonight I take Goldoni out and put an end to this shit for good.

I give Cyrus directions and turn my attention to waking up Gabe. I don’t like him but we need his help. If I know anything, I know the warehouse will be guarded. And we will be ready.

Smacking at Gabe’s cheeks I yell at him to get up.

“You done knocked him the fuck out,” Cyrus observes.

I pinch his nose closed and clamp my hand over his mouth to stop his breathing. His eyes pop open and I let go as he struggles to breathe.

“About time you joined us. Now, Rain, you get to make yourself useful for once. How many men are at the warehouse that are armed?”

“I’m not telling you shit.” She spits at me.

“Have it your way. Cy, pullover. Bitch can walk.” I don’t have to worry about her calling and ratting me out. Cyrus already confiscated her phone.  By the time she reaches civilization it will be morning and I’ll be buried balls deep in Isa.  Cyrus gets out and makes her walk the opposite way a few feet before deserting her. Good riddance.

I fill Gabe in on my plan as Cyrus continues to drive to our destination. He will go in first to do a head and gun count, while seeing if he can get his eyes on Isa. We will communicate via text message, but should anything go wrong, he is to shoot first and ask questions later. Tim and the others are meeting us, but I don’t know if they will get here in time.

I can’t go in blind and if I lose Gabe, well, it’s no sweat off my back. Pretty boy doesn’t mean a fucking thing to me.  We drop him near the gate with two guns. He is a Marine; he can make do.

Cyrus and I get into position and wait for the rest of the Sinners.

I am about to give up on Gabe when a text comes through from him.

Prettyboy: One dead outside looks like the man who took Isa - 3 gunned inside saw Isa get taken to a room. I think I can get to her unseen.

Must be Briggs. Serves the cocksucker right.

Tris: Don’t make a move wait for me.

He doesn’t respond. If he does something stupid and gets Isa hurt, I will kill him without second thought.

“Let’s move,” I whisper tapping Cyrus on the shoulder. There isn’t time to wait for anyone else.

We move quietly through the trees and make our way to the hidden side door that I’m not sure even Goldoni knows about. At least I hope he doesn’t. I need the element of surprise on my side.

Backs to the wall we make our way down the dark hall. Three shots fire.  The urge to run in with my own gun blazing is gnawing at me, but Isa can’t afford for me to be stupid. Cyrus and I make it to the end of the hall. A tall blonde comes running past us screaming. I instantly recognize her as one of the dancers who Rain claimed failed her drug test.

Cyrus holds up three fingers and then points to the dead goons on the ground. Pretty boy is good. I take back what I said. I could use a guy like him in my fold if he didn’t have a thing for my woman.

An old man is standing in the middle of the room wearing a confused expression, pulling up his pants. Cyrus tells him to get lost and shoots at his feet. He pisses himself as he tries to run. His pants fall to his ankles exposing his old wrinkled pecker.

Damn! Old age can be brutal.  He gets his piss soaked pants up and darts for the door. Smart man.

I kick in the first door I come to and see long dark hair shadowing a head that is bobbing up and down on a fat man’s cock.

A lump forms in my throat. I jerk her backwards by her mane with one hand, while my other has my gun aimed at this bastard’s crotch, unsure of what I will do if she holds Isa’s face.

My eyes cast down as she gasps in shock. Ariala. Thank fuck.

“Get out of here or I will blow off your dick,” I threaten the man with a deflated hard on.

He scrambles from the room, holding his hands up in surrender.

“Stay here,” I order Isa’s sister and go to the next room. There is no point in questioning Ari, judging by the track marks on her arms, it’d be pointless. She is wigged out.

The door won’t budge and I can hear Isa scream on the other side. Cyrus joins me and we kick it in together. The frame snaps as the door splinters from the hinges. With my adrenaline pumping through my veins, I rip the damn thing the rest the way off.

Pretty boy is on the floor with a pair of scissors in his leg.

Goldoni has Isa, one arm is hooked around her waist, and the other hand is holding a gun to her temple. Motherfucker.

“If I pull out the scissors, he could bleed out,” Cyrus tells me assessing Gabe’s injuries.

“Take him and Ariala, get them out of here. Goldoni is mine.”

Cyrus gives me a chin lift, helps Gabe to his feet, and supports him enough to get him out of the room.

“Tristian. Bidding is over. Isa is bought and paid for,” Goldoni brags smugly.

“Let her go. This is between you and me.”

“Don’t think so Tris. This is between me and my what did you call her…pet.” Goldoni fires a warning shot clipping my left ear.

He’s going to pay for that.

Isa is eerily calm. “It’s okay Tristian, I want to go with him. You can go.” She looks straight in my eyes, giving no hint of emotion, as if she is as dead inside as I was for the years before she came back into my life.

My heart falls to the floor she can’t mean that. “Isa?”

She grimaces and turns into Goldoni.  “Take me home with you. You said you can get my dad the best medical care and make sure my family is taken care of. I accept your terms. You let Tristian and my sister go freely and I’ll do anything you want.”

“Okay.” he smiles. “That wasn’t so hard, little pet. It’s all just business Tris. You understand.” He kisses the top of Isa’s head and I lose my cool.

I don’t think I just shoot clipping him in the shoulder. He drops the gun and Isa wrestles from his hold.  She picks up the gun he dropped as he clutches his shoulder.

Isa runs to my side and Goldoni laughs. “Go ahead Tristian. Kill me.”

“Shooting you is too easy,” I say unsure of what I will do with him, but whatever I decide it will be long, drawn out, and extremely painful.

“Easy but effective,” Isa says as she pulls the trigger. Goldoni’s eyes are wide with shock with a single bullet hole between them.

“I had it under control.” I take the gun from Isa’s trembling fingers. “We need to get out of here.” I kiss the side of her shock stricken face.

Isa doesn’t say anything. She steps out of the red heels she is wearing and slides the slip of a dress from her body.

“What are you doing?” Has she lost it?

She takes her white dress from the table and pulls it over her head. “Take me home Tristian,” she says finally.

“Sure, I’ll drive you to your Papi.” I swallow hard not wanting to let her go, but if letting her go is what she needs I have to give it to her.

“Not to Papi. I want to go home with you,” she says clutching my arm.

I tuck the extra gun in my waistband and pull her into me. “I fucking love you princess.”

She stares up at me with those doe eyes and says,” I love you too Tristian.”

Isa fusses over my ear but it was just a graze, nothing serious.

Sirens blare in the background as the rest of my crew shows up to clean up and pay off the police. I put Cyrus in charge of fabricating a story. I know he will put a good spin on this shit.

Isa is silent on the drive to the mansion. There is so much we need to discuss. I know she remembers, but does she remember everything? Am I going to lose her forever now that I have just gotten her back?

When we get inside the house she surprises me. “Take a bath with me and we can talk. I have a lot to say to you.”

I swallow hard and nod. I’ve never been more nervous in my all my life. I follow her up the stairs to the bathroom and I run the water while she strips. She is so damn beautiful inside and out.

“Isa,” is tart to speak but she cuts me off.

“No, Tristian I am going to do the talking.”

“Okay, I’m listening.” I undress waiting for her to say what is on her mind. Waiting for her to tell me how sick I am and how she never wants to see me gain, even though she is here with me now. She could still be in shock. I can’t believe she pulled the trigger.

I get into the tub and she gets in after me settling between my legs with her back against my chest as the warm, soapy water fills up around us. We relax for a minute, and I cradle her head against my shoulder, planting soft kisses along her neck.

“Talk to me Isa, why did you shoot Goldoni?”

“I’ll get to that, but first, you need to know that I remember everything. All of it.” I tense unsure of how she feels about what we have shared. “Most of all, I remember what you have been unable to forget. It wasn’t your fault Tristian, and I don’t blame you or hate you even a little. I love you. I loved you then, even if it was wrong. But more than that I love you now.”
