“Always,” he whispered with a little smile. “I worry about

you when I’m not around to take care of you.” He

squeezed her hand and wet his lips. “Why don’t you move

in with me? You can have your own room and I’l know

you’re safe. At least until The Charmed Kil er is caught.”

Carlotta sat back on her heels and looked around, feeling

desperate and vulnerable. How safe was this place when a

psycho kil er had been cohabitating with them and they

hadn’t even known? Not to mention the mystery SUV stil

stalking the street and the car explosion.

She had to get away from this madness.

“Okay,” Carlotta said. “You win. I’l move in with you,

Peter.”
