“Now
I’m
going to push inside you on
our
marriage bed,” Kash proclaimed. One-handed, with his knuckles, he spread her opening. With the other, he inserted a be-clawed forefinger. “Stay relaxed,” he commanded, when she opened her eyes.

Miraculously, he didn’t slice her open. Still, she wondered aloud, “What…are you doing?” Then after a faint scraping sensation right on her G-spot, he pulled his hand carefully out. Immediately, Kash licked his hand, but he wasn’t fast enough. Blythe caught sight of that singular claw tinged with pink. “Blood?”

On his knees now, he pulled his cock up. With the same claw, he scored the underside of his erection. Not exactly shallow, the cut was deep enough to deliver a notable stream of blood. Caressing his erection, he lubricated himself with his own blood, even sliding it over his leathery scrotum. When Blythe looked away, Kash demanded she watch him.

“We will give to each other, Blythe. Look at me, from this night forward, my blood for your blood. Say it.”

“My blood for your blood,” she repeated.

In blurring speed, he penetrated her. One deep lunge he was inside her, filling Blythe all the way to the top. That silver ring threaded with tiny spinning balls, his enormous girth, he felt huge inside her, a formidable presence. “You feel me deep, don’t you?”

“Yes…it’s deep,” she moaned. Sixten put his head in between them, moving his tongue across hers before pulling away for his friend to take a turn. Next Kash’s lips covered her mouth, his coppery tongue moving in time with his thrusts. His silver circlet spun inside her pussy, driving her insane. Her chains rattled overhead, her hands clenching. She wanted to claw his back, leave her mark.

“You’ll
never
get away from me after this,” a dark threat left his lips, a possessive vampire’s brutal honesty. Swiveling his hips, he rolled over her clit and set off her piercing. Over her screams, she heard him say, “Sângele meu de sânge, ne casatorim pentru eternitate.” Upon his proclamation, the words sank into her body. They were now married.

“It’s done,” she heard Sixten say, his voice tightened by his desire.

Kash pulled back, his hands bracketing her head. Sixten rolled his fingers over her nipple, stroking himself again. Strange symbols left Kash’s body, disappearing with the eerie mist, making him shudder repeatedly. Sweat covered his shoulders, his chest and nipples glistening in the torchlight. His head whipped back, some strands of his hair sticking to his forehead, and his lips parted as he stared adoringly at her. “I love you, Bride. I’ll never get enough…of …you.”

Pumping into her in a measured pace, he was holding himself back. Maestru had warned him to be careful, she remembered now. “Give it to me.” She had released already. He had not. “The way you want to give it to me.”

“I’m about to go…this way.” Kash assured her, picking up the speed without slamming into her. “Your slick heat is perfect.” He bent forward, trailing her throat. “
You
are perfect.” Licking her jugular, he whispered, “Blood of my blood.” And he sank his fangs into her neck, deeply. “Ah,’ he moaned at the taste of her, his thrusts increasing at an unimaginable pace, though not delivering that hard bump against her cervix that she longed for. The bite, however, there was  pain there, ratcheting up, knotting her shoulders. She felt his jaw working against her neck, his throat swallowing convulsively.

There wasn’t any part of her body not consumed by Kash.

Pulling away from her vein long enough to call out her name when he climaxed, Kash released himself inside her, his spurting jets as powerful as the supernatural thrusts he delivered. Rapidly, her body echoed his, delivering a shocking climax only tainted by him returning to feed. To her side, she heard Sixten groan, releasing right along with them. Tightening his arms around her body, Kash held her in place though Blythe remained manacled. Losing himself in the taste of her blood, he delivered no other endorphins. The more she tensed the harder he sucked.
Her fear
, he was feeding from her addictive blood infused with her fear. Was her new husband able to stop?

“Sixten,” she rasped.

“Kash,” Sixten’s voice snapped like a lethal whip. “Don’t ruin the most important night of your life. I won’t hesitate to kill you if you risk her.”

Kash pulled away with a mouth covered in her blood, cursing under his breath. “I’m sorry. It’s our first
real
feeding, Blythe. You are
too
much. You clench when you come…it’s unbelievable,” he admitted on a ragged breath. “I’m just…sorry. Forgive me.”

Smiling weakling, she whispered, “It’s forgiven and forgotten, okay?”

Wasting no time tearing into his wrist, he offered his essence to her. She turned away from it, had seen too much blood for the night. “I don’t need it, really.” By now, she could tell when blood loss weakened her body, so Kash had not exactly overindulged. Whether he would have if Sixten hadn’t been here, she’d never know, though she would like to give him the benefit of the doubt.

“Still, I insist on this exchange.”

“Really, I’m sure I don’t need it.”

“Blythe, you may not, but the baby does.”

“Baby?” She asked just as Sixten’s head snapped up.

“My Bride, you are pregnant.”

Chapter Sixteen
K
ash misted Blythe right over to Bane’s house, insisting Dr. Holt confirm his and Maestru’s findings. Blythe sat on a bed in a lavish guest suite where she watched Dru shoo a nervous pair of vampires away to wait in Bane’s study. Maestru misted to his home, telling them to call him with the news of what he already suspected. She shook her head as her doctor then sent a blindingly fast text. “I know what you just did, but I could never follow those fingers.”

He laughed, genuinely amused. “The first one was asking Bane to come home. And the second one? Well, it’s a good thing you couldn’t read it. Might make you blush, Blythe.” Wrapping a hand around her back, he eased her down on a plush bed.

“To your wife…mate?” She didn’t know how to refer to Renee.

“My wife or my mate.” He shrugged, saying, “Doesn’t matter what I call her, except that she’s mine forever.”

Reaching inside a black satchel, he pulled on gloves and grabbed a couple other things. As far as clothes were concerned, there wasn’t much for her to take off, considering Kash had shredded her earlier ensemble, so she was wearing Sixten’s undershirt and nothing else. It may have reached her knees, covering her, but she was embarrassed. Dru seemed unaware of her questionable appearance, or simply didn’t care.

“You look so happy,” she said when he put his hands on her knees.

“Renee and Arian are on their way home. Knees together. Ankles apart.”

“Still gonna take a while to come from,” she tried to remember what Bane had said, “where were they, Norway?” Prodding as any other gynecologist would, Dru then placed his other hand on her stomach, possibly gauging the size of her uterus.

“There about,” he answered with a smile. “We have our ways to shorten any trip.”

“I’ll bet.” She winced at a tender spot, but since she was nervous, Blythe had to keep talking. “I’d like to get to know Renee better. I’ve chatted with her several times when she visited the staff at Six Feet Under. She quit working there before I moved back to the states. She’s close friends with my best friend Dakota.”

“Quit working? I demanded Ryan fire her,” he said fondly, as if it were the greatest memory. “Man, Renee was pissed. Doesn’t like a controlling male…sometimes.”

“You don’t
allow
her to work?”

He narrowed his whiskey-colored eyes on her, but his smile stayed in place. “Do you know what goes on in that place?”

“After tonight, I do,” she answered sheepishly.

He nodded. “Do you know Renee was taken from me and my co-mates by a male who thought she belonged to him? And, incidentally, he wanted her dead instead of…well, what you went through.”

“I’ve heard some of the story.” Blythe didn’t want to hear any of it now. Forgetting about lunatic captors kept her metal gears rolling in the right direction. Dru seemed to notice her thoughts, and she wondered if he read minds like Oycher.

“Renee went to nursing school and almost finished before her horrific
encounter
,” he went on while examining her. “Even so, I finished her training personally.” He wagged his brows.

Blythe laughed at that and said, “Nothing like playing doctor with a real doctor.”

“We studied in between,” he added. “She’s an awesome nurse. Several days a week, Renee helps me in the joint faction facility. You remember the facility you wanted to volunteer at?”

“Yeah, I do.” She couldn’t manage it, though. “Underground is a little shaky for me right now.”

“Give it time,” he said. “Just like those migraines of yours. It’ll all work out, you’ll see. Anyway, Renee works down at the human clinic with me – the one Ryan brought you to for treatment.”

“I remember, thank you.”

“However, if and when she chooses to work anywhere else, I prefer she stays underground. And when she travels out, she’s protected by one or all three of her males.”

“You still think someone would harm her?”

He delivered an ‘are-you-kidding’ look. “Renee is mated to the Beta of the North American Pack. Putting her out there is a crapshoot, and I’m not letting go of her that easily. Nor will my co-mates.”

“Okay, I get it.”

“Do you?” He asked earnestly. “You fell in love with a feral creature or
creatures
, I should say, whose adversaries are numerous. The day you accept your vulnerability is the day you decide to live, Blythe.”

“It’s harder for me to comprehend how you get along with two werewolves and share one mate.” After she said it, Blythe realized how noisy she sounded and her face heated.

If Dru was insulted, he didn’t let on. “If you stop looking at a relationship, such as ours, with a detrimental eye, you just might understand it. And before you ask, no, at first I didn’t get along with Bane.”

She pulled Sixten’s shirt down when Dru finished and said, “The whole natural enemies’ thing was at work, huh?”

“Even though I served his Pack in a medical capacity, he didn’t want to share what was his with a vampire. So, yeah, we weren’t instant chums. Just like humans, we are imperfect. Not everything works out well right away.” He closed his bag. “Now, we’re family. Just recently, when I was seriously injured by that shapeshifter, Bane managed my recovering while co-leading his Pack, did not miss a feeding, either. Believe me, I needed a lot of his blood, so he had to be exhausted and excessively stressed. Not once did he complain. Wondering how you have us beat?”

“I’m sure you’re going to tell me.”

“It’s all coming together sooner for you, out of respect for your feelings – your contentment. Your men are letting go of any territorial boundaries to keep you happy – to run a peaceful home. Between us, I haven’t a doubt that Rock could fight Sixten’s claim on you. Would he win? I don’t know. But you’re celestially
his
, and Rock could have easily been an ass about the whole thing.” When her brows popped high, Dru chuckled. “Yeah, your werewolf is quiet, and, for the most part, he’s personable. Still, you haven’t any idea of the power he wields. Honestly, I hope you never witness it, because I have patched up his handy work in the form of dying, tortured creatures. I found it appalling.”

“Oh, I’ve seen him fight,” she whispered.

“Blythe, I doubt you’ve seen his Beast at its worst.”

“I hope it doesn’t get worse than what I’ve seen,” Blythe grumbled, moving to the edge of the bed. “All done?”

“Yep.”

“Thank you…again, for treating me.”

“I’m your doctor. That’s what I do.” He tilted his head. “I sensed Bane and Rock mist in, so I’ll go get your men and you can tell them yourself,” Dru said with a wink.

“Tell them…Kash and Maestru are right, then?” She felt her mouth drop open. Not once had she believed it.

“Congratulations, Mom,” he said before disappearing behind the door.

A
re you sure about the Marchii?” Kash asked for the third time.

“I’m certain,” Sixten assured him. “From what Blythe said, Gianni was trying to convince her that he loved her, his sick way of courting her by gentling her.” Kash looked like he was going to throw up, little did he know, Sixten had thrown up several times after Blythe explained what had happened to her. “Gianni may have gone through the motions of
everything but
, however, he didn’t have straight out sex with her. At least, during her last imprisonment with him. Don’t you think I sniffed for that the first moment we were alone? Hell, I took my time about it, too. The Dynasty fucker is not the father.
I
am. So stop ruining my proud and happy moment with your needless worry, or I’ll give you something to
really
worry about.” Finally, Kash appeared satisfied, leaning his head against Bane’s office chair and unknotting his fists.

“She’s pregnant?” Rock stood in the threshold by a stunned Bane, both overhearing. “I go away for
five
minutes and my life changes.”

“I called him to the joint faction facility to sign a grievance with the Dynasty over the attacking Lovci,” Bane explained. “Your Prince Volos took them into custody before we arrived, before any fucking paperwork went through.”

Sixten and Kash gaped. “Did Qudir question them before he stuck his royal nose in our way?”

“Said he couldn’t pull anything out of them before they left,” Bane growled in disgust.

“Let me get this straight,” said Sixten. His heart thundering in his chest, yes, he was right about one thing: There was a mole inside their faction. “Lovci attacked a werewolf’s mate, pulling her off a rolling motorcycle while her male was driving her home? And…the Dynasty Prince finds no shame or crime in this, in taking mates from their males on Pack
turf
?”

“Maybe your prince knows we duped him.” Rock offered.

“I don’t think that’s it,” said Kash, and his bronzed complexion was suddenly white.

Sixten met Kash’s eyes as he placed his phone to his ear. “Qudir,” he greeted the commander. “Before you start, you should know that I appreciate the difficulty of your position. I appreciate everything you’ve done to help my growing family and me. But this time, harm has been done. I am fortunate that my wife and one of my co-mates are safe with me tonight - safe at the moment, that is. Perhaps I didn’t realize that I had to protect them from legitimate hunters, too.” His eyes flicked to Rock. “After the ruse you helped us orchestrate during the Dynasty Vampyr’s untimely visit, I thought we settled everything. That the Dynasty Prince accepted she was under Pack protection, and he hadn’t a say regarding my Blythe. What possible explanation could justify his Lovci acting in such a manner?”
