Although, God help her, it was hard to make any move when the delicate trace of his fingers across the bare skin showing above her lace bra had her all but paralyzed. Her nipples peaked, the hard crests pushing against the fabric of her undergarment. She glanced down. Her breasts, swollen and ultrasensitive, ached painfully, the dusky areolas visible through the white lacy weave.

She should have been embarrassed, but all she could concentrate on was the heat that seeped into her blood from the feel of Jedd’s hand resting on the swell of her breasts. Then he moved, lowered his head to take one fabric-covered peak into his mouth and rocked Mina’s world.

He sucked. He caressed. Flicked his tongue against her nipple before swirling it around the throbbing tip. Then he took it between his teeth and gently applied pressure before sucking hard, molding her breast with his hand so he could fit more into his mouth.

Sensory overload hit Mina. The wet lace of her bra created a delicious friction that drove the sensations higher. Heat rolled over her, invading her blood stream. Fire streaked from her breast, down her body to her pussy. The muscles in her lower stomach tightened. Her thighs quivered, nerve endings coming alive and driving an insatiable hunger through her until her clit ached and her pussy clenched with need.

Jedd’s snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. Mina arched her back, pressing her pelvis into the cradle of his thighs. The breath caught in her throat when she felt the tempered steel of a rock-hard erection. A whimper escaped, and she rubbed against him, desperate to find a release from the tension that held her in thrall.

Jedd growled and angled his hips toward her, releasing her nipple as he bound her tighter to him. Almost beside herself with hunger, Mina opened her eyes, casting a languid glance at Jedd. The self-satisfied look on his face and the curl of his lips dragged her up short.

Ice suddenly flowed where fire had been. She bit her lip to stop a heart-felt groan escaping. Damn it, she’d been played. In the past, this man had been used to women falling at his feet, even if he was having problems now. She was
not
going to be another notch on his bedpost.

Taking her resolve in hand, she jerked away from him, holding the front of her blouse together. A nugget of anger lodged in her gut, a smoldering fire that built by the minute. Truth be told, the anger was directed more at herself than Jedd. He was just following his nature. She was being totally contrary and it was time it stopped.

“What the freakin’ hell are you doing? Is this how you get your jollies? No wonder women don’t want anything to do with you.”

Frowning, Jedd ran one hand through his hair. “Um, I’m sorry. Have I got it wrong? Aren’t you the woman who’s going to show me how to do it?”

Mina’s jaw dropped. She gulped, not certain she’d heard right. “
Do it?
Are you crazy? You… I just—”

She cut the words off and frowned at Jedd as she processed his last comment. What made this guy think he needed help in the bedroom department? Hell, from the frantic clamoring of her clit, he was doing fine on his own. So what the heck was this all about?

Jedd grimaced
. Oh-ooh, I’d better start thinking with the big head instead of the one between my legs.

Damn, he may have screwed up a smidgeon here. Mina was supposed to think he was a total wimp when it came to women, but something about her had turned him on so quickly he’d forgotten all about that.

She’d been ravishing when she was seventeen, but so much more so now, despite the fact she’d dressed in a dark business outfit that would have suited someone so much older.

The straight pencil skirt, which should have been fitted, hung from her waist in limp folds, the hem hitting mid-calf. The suit jacket he’d managed to divest her of had been buttoned right up to the neck, the only thing softening the effect, the floppy bow of her blouse.

Now she looked disheveled, her cheeks flushed and hands still clutching the fabric over her breasts. A few loose strands had escaped the tight bun she’d twisted her hair into and he itched to pluck the pins from it and release the fiery locks.

Without his brain giving the order, he reached out. Then he took note of her narrowed gaze and pursed lips. Ah crap, time to recover the ground he’d lost by jumping her and hope to hell she believed him.

Raising his outstretched hand to his forehead, he swiped at the perspiration that dotted his brow and stumbled back a pace. Going for the greatest effect, he shuffled over to the doorway and braced one hand on the frame. He lowered his head, panting for breath.

“Sorry, sorry,” he muttered. “Just a little dizzy.”

She moved closer to him. “Are you okay? Maybe you should sit.”

He dared a quick glance at her to find the suspicious cast had faded from her face. Now she looked concerned. She’d also buttoned up her blouse, but Jedd could still see the telltale twin peaks of her nipples pushing against the soft fabric. He closed his eyes against the sight, struggling to get his libido under control.

“Sit. Yeah, gotta sit.” He started toward the bed.

Mina reached out and wrapped one arm around his waist. “Let’s get you out to the living room. If you’re feeling faint, you can lie down on the couch.”

Jedd didn’t argue with her. He was too busy trying to ignore the brush of her breast against his side. A sneaky peek showed the dampness from him tonguing her nipple through her lace bra had seeped through the fabric of her blouse. What he wouldn’t do to anchor his mouth there again!

“Here you go.” Mina lowered him onto the couch.

He dropped down, heavy enough to make the cushion clunk against the springs in the base of the couch and topple him over onto his side. He righted himself and rested his head against the back support. His cock twitched and reminded him it was still awake, ready and raring to go. To hide the evidence, he grabbed a spare cushion and plonked it on his lap, resting his hands on top.

Mina disappeared then returned minutes later with her briefcase. She sat beside him and extracted a laptop computer, balancing it on her knees as she turned it on. Next, she drew a mini CD from the briefcase and set it down beside her before turning toward him.

“How are you feeling now?” Without giving him time to answer, she continued, “This is why I was sent here. You’re not feeding enough. Your energy supplies are low. If you keep going on this way, you’ll kill yourself. Besides the fact that Lucifer is going to have your butt if you don’t up your quotas. Aunt Luce does like to play with her collection of souls.”

He frowned. “You do know we don’t suck ’em dry any longer, don’t you?”

Damn it to hell, he couldn’t tell Mina that he had an agreement with Lucifer and had no need to collect souls any longer. That would really give the game away. It would also hint at a softer side of Lucifer—something she tried to hide from the masses. In point of fact, Her Evilness hadn’t enforced the soul-collecting for a couple of hundred years now.

“That may be so, but you’re still expected to deposit a certain amount of energy into the vault on a regular basis,” Mina retorted. “And if your condition now is any indication, you not only haven’t been doing that, but you haven’t even been taking enough to sustain yourself either.”

She popped open the CD-ROM drive and inserted the disk she’d placed on the couch. Then she closed it and waited for it to boot up. When it was obvious it wasn’t working, she tried to eject it, only to have it jam.

“Oh, heck, what have I done now?” She pulled at the door of the drive but to no avail.

“Here, let me have a go.” Jedd took the laptop from her and lifted it to eye level so he could peer into the drive through the partially opened door. “Hmm, looks like you didn’t put it in dead flat. That’s the problem with these mini disks. They have a tendency to float around in the drive if you don’t position them right.”

Mina gave a deep sigh. “I don’t normally use the small ones, but it was all I had available at home last night. I guess I’ll have to be more careful about what strange things I put into my slit in future.”

There was silence for a moment. Jedd worked hard at keeping his face straight, at swallowing the chuckle that bubbled up.
She so did not say that.

Then he wondered if she actually realized how that comment had come out and what connotations a man could put on it. Worse, an incubus who immediately thought of other things he could introduce to her
slit.

He lost it. The laughter bubbled up and over. He tried to contain it, but then gave it up as a lost cause. He buried his head in the cushion he’d used to hide the bulge in his trousers until he felt he had it under control. Lifting his head, he wiped the moisture from his eyes and flicked a glance at Mina. The dumbfounded look on her face started him off again.

“What on earth is wrong with you?” she snapped. “This is not a laughing matter.”

After a few moments and a hard-won battle, Jedd managed to rein in his guffaws. He gulped a few times to clear his throat before he could get anything out. “Do you have any idea what you just said?”

Mina frowned. “Well, I’m not a total moron. I said I’d have to be more careful…”

Her eyes opened wide as realization struck. A pink blush crept up her face until it stained her cheeks. “Oh my, I didn’t really say that, did I? What I meant—”

Jedd shook his head. “It’s okay. I know what you meant, but talk about putting your foot in it.”

She groaned then gave a half-hearted chuckle. “Yeah, I know, I open my mouth long enough to change feet. Aunt Luce has warned me about this time and time again. I really need to think before I speak.”

She sat up straighter, pulled her skirt down over her knees and pointed to the laptop. “Any way to get that to work? We need to get back to the job at hand.”

Job…? Hand…? As in hand job?

Jedd couldn’t help himself. His mind went into overdrive and supplied the appropriate image to fuel his sense of humor. He clamped his mouth shut and tried to swallow the gurgling sounds in his throat, drawing in a deep breath and holding it until he felt his eyes bulging. As a last resort, he buried his face in the cushion and dragged in a quick breath.

He wasn’t game to look at Mina. Then it didn’t matter because he lost it anyway. The laughter bubbled up and burst from him. Then he did look at Mina. Tears of mirth rolled down his face at the horrified expression on her face. She must have thought he was hysterical. She scooted closer and patted him on the shoulder.

“It’s okay, Jedd. Take a deep breath. We’ll sort this out.”

Oh, hell, she hadn’t even realized what she’d said. If it hadn’t come so fast on the heels of her slit comment, he wouldn’t have found it so funny. He swallowed the chuckles and turned toward her.

“Job. Hand. Hand job,” he gasped on a fresh breath in an effort to explain what he found so amusing.

She leveled a dark frown at him, eyes narrowed and mouth pursed, although a sweep of red colored her cheeks. “I really don’t think it was
that
funny,” she said. “And enough of this fooling around. We need to get to work again.”

Well, so much for getting her to loosen up a bit.

It was obvious Mina was back in professional mode. For a moment there, she’d dropped the barriers and he’d caught a glimpse of the woman behind the no-nonsense business façade she presented to the world
.
But then she’d slammed the door and shut him out. Ah well, it was only the first day of the ‘Seduce Mina’ project.

Dragging his mind back to Mina’s question, he pointed toward the kitchen. “Want to grab me the first-aid kit on top of the fridge?”

He didn’t really want to get up at this point. He was still sporting a semi-hard erection and this was a smart lady. She’d spot it immediately.

She handed over the first-aid kit and he quickly extracted a pair of tweezers from it. Then, with a light touch, he eased the tweezers inside the drive and dislodged the mini disk. Once he’d freed it, he slid the drive back in, listened to it whir as it booted up, then handed the laptop back to Mina.

“So, want to tell me what’s so important about that disk?”

“I’ve put some information together for you, but first you need to tell me what you’re having problems with. Meeting women? Picking them up? Or the sex part?” She glanced down at the computer screen and muttered under her breath, “Um, maybe not the last part.”

Jedd had to fight to keep his mouth straight. He wanted to respond to her comments, but she didn’t give him a chance. Instead, she ejected the disk and handed it to him before turning off the laptop and storing it back in her briefcase. Then she stood, smoothed down her skirt and retied the bow at the top of her blouse.

“You’re going?”
Hmm, that was a short lesson
.

“It just occurred to me that this will work better if I see you in action.”

He raised his eyebrows.
Interesting.
His cock twitched to let him know he thought so too.

“Yes, I thought we could go to one of those clubs you frequent and I can see how you operate. Then I’ll know which area to concentrate on. I’ll pick you up here at eight tonight, okay? And in the meantime, you can read over the stuff on that disk.”

She started to walk toward the front door. Jedd vacated the couch and followed in her wake, his libido receiving a boost as he watched the straight skirt pull against her arse with her every movement.

He fought to drag his mind back to their conversation. “Ah, what’s on the disk?”

“Some homework for you. Information on what women find attractive in a man. The mistakes guys make. How to talk to a woman, et cetera.”

Shit, he’d been doing this for a long time. He didn’t need a refresher course on how to pull a woman. His ego took a nosedive until he remembered this was all a pretense.

“You think that’s going to help me?” He crowded close to her at the door to the apartment, brushing against her from behind so she couldn’t help but feel the nudge of his cock against her sweet arse.

“Well, it certainly can’t hurt,” she retorted, edging away from him and grasping the handle of the door tight enough that her knuckles whitened.
