Double Down (Take a Gamble) (7 page)

"
A hundred years is a long damn time to be bound to a woman for. Trust me." Don told him.

"Must be some fucking business arrangement.
And as your business is ours, we should know the particulars. That's if we aren't entitled to a piece."

“You’re not.” Caleb said and got off his perch and walked around the desk to stand in front of them. He leaned back on the desk and crossed his arms over his chest. “Lady Shade is my new companion, and you both know that a hundred years to the span of an immortals life is a drop in the bucket. We plan to have some fun, that’s all.”

"I don't like it." Hunter crossed his arms mirroring Caleb’s body language.

"
His choice. You don't have to like it." Dom moved breaking the tension. "As long as it doesn’t impede business, you’re a big boy. We can share you with some demon harem whore. And when you tire of her in a few we'll gladly pass her around for you."

“Thanks dad… so glad you’re in my corner. But let me get something straight. Lady Shade is not a whore, not in the least. You think I would
bind myself, and let myself be Shadow marked for a common demon? She’s royal, same as you or me… and she will be treated with a modicum of respect, or you won’t meet her. And I know you are both dying to.”

Dom smirked. "You know
Hunter I think he likes her."

"And that makes things even worse."

Caleb scoffed. “Of course I like her; I couldn’t deal with c-note with her if I didn’t. Now will you just stop your doom saying and get down to business. Who I am fucking shouldn’t have taken up this much time, to say the least.”

"Of course.
You’re right completely."

"Lady Shade. Didn't I threaten her with a painful death?"

"Wouldn’t be the first time Hunter. Is that the sound of a penny dropping?"

"
Wait isn't her father the CEO of Vasic industries?"

Caleb shrugged. “Last name is
Loganazzi.” He said and walked around his desk again and sat down. He punched up the security camera again to check on her and was happy to see her still abed and wrapped in Shadows.

"Last name has nothing to do with the company." Dom shrugged.

“Then your guess is as good as mine? Would you like me to go wake her up and ask her?” he asked in a flippant tone. “What is the point anyway?”

"The name
Vasic means nothing to you? How about Vastec?" Dom shook his head with a sigh. "And here I thought you were relatively informed in the world."

"Weapons.
Daddy’s a war monger. Good guy...ish. I wouldn't like to bind his daughter for a hundred year but eh each to his own."

Caleb shrugged. “First, unless it has to do with our normal fair of consumables, I pay no attention. All those other pies you have your fingers in, especially the weapons of mass destruction, I have no interest in. Second, big daddy demon doesn’t scare me, and that’s not me being a big swinging dick.”

Djinn weren’t easily dispatched, and they both knew it. Her father could decide to start a blood feud over everything, and he wouldn’t do anything more then lose choice members of his house. There was a good reason why Djinn kept their real natures hidden from everything: there were only three ways to kill them to a true death, and outside of the nobility, maybe a handful of entities knew, and they weren’t talking because they were consorted to a Djinn.

"Weapons of
mass destruction? Where do you get these ideas from?" Hunter coughed. "We have no fingers in such pie."

"And that's our
official line. Let’s move on, I’m getting bored with this. The shipment?"

“Fifty girls from Estonia and fifty from Cro
atia, all on time. Should be at the compound tomorrow. Oh and Redfield sent you this,” he opened his desk drawer and pulled out a thick envelope and passed it across the desk to Dom. “All documentations needed for the 100.”

Dom skimmed through the papers before passing them onto Hunter. "Excellent, the money will be in your accounts by midday tomorrow."

"This thing that you’re playing at," Hunter asked not looking up from the papers which he had now pulled out and was sorting into groups. "It’s not going to grow you a conscience all of a sudden, because that would be very bad for my business Djinn. It would be bad for your demon to become a threat to me Caleb. I crush threats."

"Did you just threaten to crush a demon? You need to stop spending time in
Eastern Europe, besides crushing’s messy."

Caleb agreed with Dom. “Hunter quit the bullshit. My job and the woman I’m fucking doesn’t infringe on the other. As to the threat, Shade right now is sleeping in a mass of
Shadows. I wouldn’t threaten her, they might get testy, and I know Hound magic can’t compare so don’t posture man… this is one that controls all the darkness. It likes her.”

His own S
hadow Scar pulsed on his throat and writhed in agreement.

"Just making sure we
’re on the same page." Hunter grumbled.

"FYI
, our magic rivals most races. Shadow demons are hard to mimic unless we have the support of the Shadows." Dominic offered.

“And over her?”
Caleb punched up the security footage on the main screen in the room and showed them her draped in shadow, the darkness writhed about her, snuggled her, held her in its embrace. “You think they will come to your call over hers?”’

Dom shook his head. "I wouldn't hold out much hope over a
minor demon let alone that one."

“See?
Non issue. So dare I offer you guy’s lunch? Sereeta is preparing something huge in there, not sure what it is…” he smirked. “And I’m sure she would enjoy you popping in to say Hi.”

"Food?"
Hunter asked Dom.

"We shouldn't. Time’s getting on."

“Food and sex?” Caleb asked knowing full well both of his associates were usually swayed by the concept. “And you can hitch a ride back into port, and check out Lady Shade for yourself.”

"
Very well, if only to satisfy curiosity. It’s always nice to meet new additions."

"You
satisfy curiosity and I'll satisfy more pressing needs. Done." he proclaimed the paper now in piles. Hunter gathered them up and placed them carefully back into their envelopes.

Caleb smirked. “
Just don’t press her ass into the soufflé again, she’s stunning but I don’t feel like seeing an ass print in the desert.”

"No promises." he shifted into his hound form flashing him a wolfish grin before loping off out the room.

Dom watched him leave silently.

Caleb shrugged. If he wanted to mount her in Hound form… who was he to stop him? He looked at Dom and smirked. “So?
Anything else, or would you like to come with me to wake her up?”

"Let’s."

Caleb led him back through the interior to the double doors that were the entrance to his bedroom and opened one of them and let Dom in with him and then closed the door, intent on not being disturbed.

Hunter was occupied with the cook so they had time… though he wasn’t sure for what. Sharing Shade hadn’t actually been on his mind, but in his musings he realized that she was becoming permanent in his thoughts, something he couldn’t handle right now. The woman was wild, and bringing in a third would not only please her, but keep her at arm’s length a bit more.
Win-win.

Shade was lying on the bed still, quietly on her back
. He motioned to the Shadows that were dancing around her and his own pulsed again. He stroked the scar on his throat, to calm it. It might be rooted to him, but it was still excited to be near its mistress.

She was in full control of them, they saw to her constant pleasure. Well he was doing so as well.

“Part off her, show us the beauty that is Shade’s body.” He said softly and the Shadows started to depart, revealing her body, obviously nude under the light silk sheet.

"Stunning."
Dom said appreciatively.

Shade stirred as if sensing the
Shadows had moved.

Caleb nodded and then moved closer to the bed and grinned. “Pet…” he said quietly. “We have a visitor.”

"Ummm," she smiled sleepily. "Is it a hot naked cabana boy?"

“I’m sure he could be anything you wanted him to be. Eyes open love,
attend us and we just might attend you…”

“And that’s worth opening my eyes for is it?” She smiled sleepily, though they all knew she was anything but.  Her nipples had pearled and jutted against the silk, and she moved in a sensual roll, a clear enticement.

Caleb shook his head. “That’s if you want it pet. Might I introduce you to Dominic, one of my associates?”

"I’m not sure what a cabana boy is." Dom interrupted his thoughts. "I’m not sure I could pull that off."

Shade frowned opening her eyes then purred. "Hound? Baby you brought me a puppy to play with?"

"I’m a little far removed from a puppy." Dom looked less than pleased.

“And now you see why Hunter is otherwise engaged.” He said to Dom. “Pet, don’t be derogatory. Is that any way to greet someone who came to meet you?”

"Hmmm it appears so doesn’t
it?" she looked Dom up and down sitting up on her elbows completely at ease with her nakedness. "I had no idea you associated yourself with such people Caleb."

"The hint might have
come when he took
you
to his bed."

Caleb shook his head. “
No fighting you two…”

"
Touché, hound. Who's fighting darling? I assume the other one’s around somewhere?"

He’s currently nailing the shit outta my cook. I take it you know of the gruesome twosome?”

"Our paths have crossed before. I've always been slightly more clothed though."

"And a pity that. I had no idea you were hiding such curves. I may have made a play for you myself."

Caleb smirked. “Sit up pet, let Dom
see what he was missing.”

"With pleasure." she sat up giving Dom a better view.

"Much better. Caleb I’ll hand it to you, you always had excellent taste."

“And she does taste excellent.” He smirked. “And look at her, sitting there, nipples beaded, trembling…”

"Dying for it... I think she missed you. Djinn magic sure is potent."

"
I’m right here." she snapped. "Don't talk over me." she protested but he could tell she was enjoying herself.

Caleb ignored her.
“Quite potent. But Shade doesn’t filter it like a human does. She’s got her own mind, and her own wants, and my darling pet here is thinking about having the two of us, aren’t you love?” His Shadow Scar writhed with agreement. “This little Shadow here has opened her desires up to me in a way an incubus would be proud of.”

"So definitely not just a hickey."

"I don't give hickeys." shade growled affronted.

"If she wants both of us then we shouldn't let the lady down."

“Technically you didn’t give me this either, the Shadows did. So what do you think pet? Do you want the both of us?”

She nodded nipping her bottom lip. "
Oh yes..."

Caleb shrugged and l
ooked at Dom. “Well then…” he started undressing and crooked his finger to her.

"I’m sure I told you I wanted you naked at all times." she came to her knees in front of him. "I kept up my end of the bargain. You." she pointed to
Dom. "here now."

"Yes ma’am."

He watched Shade work the tongue of Dom’s belt out of his pants and felt a slight twinge of what could only be described as jealousy. Not enjoying the new found feeling, he sneered and shrugged it off. Dom wasn’t a threat to what they had, because Shade was interested, but not in the way she was with him. He watched them, and the Shadows didn’t pulse or writhe. No they knew she was in it for the pleasure, but it was different with them then with her and him.

Caleb shucked his shirt and then slipped out of his pants. Now naked, he went to her.

She turned to him kissing him as she worked Dom out of his pants. The Shadows moved to him caressing over his chest welcoming him as treasured friend as they mingled with his own Shadow Scar. Dom, now also naked, took Shade, forcing her to break their kiss and pulled her into one of his own.

Caleb shivered as the
Shadows roamed his chest. They heightened everything, including the touch of Shade’s hand as her fingers trailed down his torso to grasp him.

"
Oh baby this is gonna be fun." Shade broke the kiss with Dom leaning down to take him into her mouth.

Caleb hissed and knelt onto the bed. Shade backed up a bit, tugging Dom with her and he knelt as well. Caleb watched her, knew from personal experience what that wicked tongue could do. He moved around her
, gripped her hips from behind and ran his hand down her rump, and slipped his fingers between her thighs. The woman was wet, ready and squirming. He slid two fingers into her wetness and she groaned.
