“You got yourself a bet, but I promise you if I don’t remember my 24
th
birthday, your party will be one to remember and not in a good way.” Shanice said kissing Alonzo’s lips.

“Damn, I love it when you threaten me. It’s hot,” Alonzo said standing up and picking Shanice up in his arms.

“Where are we going? What happened to us ordering?” Shanice asked.

“The Chinese store doesn’t close until 4, let’s go work up an appetite.” Alonzo said kissing Shanice forehead.

“I think I can do that for you Mr.Jackson,” Shanice said biting Alonzo’s bottom lip.

“You’ll regret that,” Alonzo said licking his sore lip.

“I will, but I bet I enjoy my punishment,” Sha smiled.

“You know it, I promise you will enjoy it, but I’ll enjoy it more,” Alonzo said walking towards the bedroom.

“Tell me what you’re gonna do?” Shanice teased.

“What’s understood ain’t got to be explained,” Alonzo winked while putting Shanice in the middle of the bed. He was going to make sure Shanice knew exactly what he meant when he said that. She was in for a long night.

Kiyan woke up wanting to go shopping and since his friendship with Brielle was getting better and stronger by the day. He figured Brielle would be the best person to go shopping with so he decided to call her up and see what her plans were for the day.

“Hey Bri, What’s up?”

“Wassup Light Bright,” Brielle said calling Kiy the nickname that she came up with because of his light skin.

“Ain’t

“Now you know I don’t make plans, I just go with the flow.”

“Well you trying to come with me to the mall in a couple hours?”

“Yeah man, why not? What are you trying to get?”

“I don’t know. I’m always down for new sneakers and Trues.”

Lawdd, I’m down. It’s 12 o’clock now; you wanna meet me at my house around like 2? It gives me a chance to get dressed and clean up a little bit.”

“Sayless. I’m
gonna go get a shape up & check up on Zo and Shanice about this party. They doing more shacking up, then party planning,” Kiyan laughed.

“Leave them alone. Shanice is in love. I never saw her like this. She barely stay at her own house anymore.”

“Well between you and me, I think Zo is thinking about asking Shanice to buy a house with him so that they could move in.”

“Move In. Oh My God! This is crazy. Alonzo must definitely be in love if he is asking Sha to move in. I can’t wait to tell the girls,” Brielle squealed.

“Calm down Billy Bad Ass, I said he was thinking about it and even if it was definite, it’s not your place to be telling her. It’s Zo’s surprise.” Kiyan laughed.

“Yeah
yeah. So when is he planning on asking?”

“I think he said on her birthday.”

“Wow. I can’t believe this.”

“Well believe it nosey and get off the phone before you won’t be ready to go by the time I get there.” Kiyan said hanging up the phone.

After getting off the phone with Kiyan, Brielle decided to turn up the music, clean up, and figure out what she wanted to wear. While Jennifer Hudson’s
If This Isn’t Love
played, she decided to go simple with her outfit of the day. She chose a pair of True Religion skinny jeans, an orange off the shoulder Style’s by S shirt with a dark blue tank top and a pair of orange and blue Carmelo M8’s.

Bri proceeded to clean up her house and get in the shower. By the time, she finished cleaning, got out the shower, and got dressed her doorbell was being rung indicting that Kiyan was there ready to leave for the mall.

The shopping trip proved to be beneficial to Kiyan and Brielle because he was walking around with eight bags after already making two trips to the car. Brielle was about to suggest that her and Kiyan get some food before they went back to her house, but before she had a chance to get the words out of her mouth, she heard a voice that was all to familiar to her.

“Really Bri, so that’s what we do. You walk pass me like you don’t see a nigga?”

“That’s because I didn’t see you,” Brielle turned around to Murder.

“Yeah iight, you walking through the mall with your “new” nigga.”

“Chill brah. You don’t even fucking know me.” Kiyan said steering into Murder’s eyes.

“I don’t know you but I know of you. You that nigga Kiy who use to distribute niggas supplies, but you got so scared that you left the game,” Murder challenged Kiy.

“Scared? My nigga I ain’t get scared. I got sick of weak ass niggas tryna play a grown man’s game,” Kiyan smirked.

“Yeah iight, say anything. You still don’t have
no pull in the streets. You ain’t fucking with me.”

“Let me school you on something, even though I’m out the streets my money, and my reach is longer than yours.”

“Fuck outta here, you don’t have nothing that I can’t have,” Murder spit back.

“Is that so? Is that why Bri standing next to me and all you have left is memories of what y’all use to be?” Kiyan joked.

“ You buggin, Bri is definitely still mine,” Murder said.

Uhh no Bri is not. Bri broke up with you months ago,” Brielle finally spoke up.

“Really Brielle? You gone play a nigga like that?”

“Jaiden we been broke up. You know that. I’m not playing you, you been played yourself,” Brielle reminded him.

“Iight Bri, I’ll see you. I promise you I will. And you nigga, Murder said pointing at Kiyan, I’ll definitely see you soon.”

“Of course, this shit ain’t over you puput. I’ll see you real soon, lets see who can back their shit up,” Kiyan said smiling and walking away with Brielle.

Brielle felt bad that Kiy made an enemy out of Murder because of her. She didn’t know if Kiyan was gonna stop coming around because she was the cause of his current problem. So she decided to stay quite until they got into his car.

“Why you so quite Bri?”

“I want to apologize to you Kiy.”

“You don’t have to apologize for shit. You didn’t start shit, your weak ass ex did, but I’m not even tripping about that. I got
lil niggas who still handle niggas like him. I only fuck with niggas on my level and higher. I won’t get no cool points for checking a nigga who under me.”

“Look at you boss man,” Brielle laughed.

“That’s right. Come fuck with a boss. Now lets go eat because I heard your stomach growling the whole time you was quite,” Kiyan laughed.

Brielle laughed along with him. She didn’t know how Kiyan went from ten to zero within five minutes but she was glad that she didn’t lose Kiyan over Jaiden. Shit he wasn’t even apart of her life any more.

Chapter 11

“You forgot the part where you ain’t shit.” -Danielle

Cameron and Danielle’s relationship was beginning to blossom. It had been a couple months and Cam was starting to feel guilty for lying to Danielle all this time. He decided that tonight would be the night that he told Danielle his original thoughts about her and her friends. Cam was sitting in front of Danielle’s condo building trying to come up with a way to bring up the conversation. Danielle came out the building wearing a pair of dark blue Michael
Kor’s skinny jeans, a yellow and brown Michael Kor’s cardigan, and a pair of brown Nine West thigh high boots. Cam thought she was cute with her little getty up outfit.

As soon as she got in the car, she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. She noticed his facial expression showed guilt, but she thought that maybe she reading too much into things. She had a long day, and she wasn’t going to ruin it by accusing Cam of something that he didn’t do.  Cam pulled off and proceeded to the movie theater, they were going to see New Moon because Danni had practically begged him to take her to see it.

When they got to the movie theater, Cam parked in the lot and turned the car off and looked at Danni. “Look ma, we gotta talk,” he said while sighing.

“What’s on your mind,” Danni turned towards him.

“I have a confession to make”

“Confession? What type of confession?”

“Remember when we first met?”

“Yeah, what about it? That was months ago, why are you bringing it up now?”

“Long story short, when all the shit went down with Kiy and Bri, I started all that because I was the one that pointed y’all out with the players.”

“Excuse me? Come again,” Danielle, said putting her phone in her clutch.

“Look I was wrong for just assuming shit but at the time…
” Cam started.

“You started off thinking the worst of us, of ME!” yelled Danni interrupting him, to say she was pissed would be an understatement, but even more so she was hurt. She thought Cam was different and was really feeling him. Cam could see the hurt in her eyes and that’s what made him feel even worst.

“Ma look calm down, true I said and thought that shit before I really got to know you and found out you were far from that. I never meant to hurt you Danielle believe me when I say that. When I saw y’all in those players faces I just assumed that’s how y’all got down.”

“Wow Cam and all this time you been what, just stringing me along trying to get some?”

“No, I can get some from anywhere. I never had a problem in that area. Shit that didn’t come out right at all.”

Danni grabbed her clutch unlocked the door and was out the car before Cam had a chance to clean up his statement. While walking thru the parking lot she reached in her clutch for her phone.
“I really can’t believe this, how the hell did I let myself fall for this shit,” she thought out loud stopping to call Brielle and ask her to come get her. Catching up with her, Cam grabbed her lightly by the forearm and tried turning her to face him, but she yanked her arm away. This time he grabbed both arms forcing her to look at him.

“Look ma, I’m sorry if I hurt you in any way shape or form. That was NEVER my intention. These last few months we spent together, this shit has been eating me up knowing I thought the worst of you. I wanted to tell you so many times, but I didn’t wanna mess up what we have now.”

“So that first night you texted me, did you think you was gonna get some? Thought I was some hit it and quit it, ” asked Danni. She don’t know why this shit was getting to her; then again she did, she was in love and right now at this very moment her heart was being broken by the one man she thought would change her way of thinking about men.

“Danni look if I could go back and change shit I would, but I can’t. I was use to women coming around just because they thought they could get something out of me. I’m man enough to admit to you right here, right now today in a movie parking lot that I was wrong and I’m sorry,” Cam knew he fucked up, but he was willing to do anything to fix it. Danni wasn’t like most women at all, she was a damn fireball and he loved that about her.

“You forgot the part where you ain’t shit,” she said as she cracked a smile.

“I never said I was though,” laughed Cam.

“So how do you feel about me now?”

“I think that you are the most stubborn, shit talking, outspoken, beautiful, independent, intelligent woman I have ever met.”

“I am not…”

“Buuut, those are all the reasons I love you and wouldn’t change you if I could” smiled Cam with that gorgeous smile Danielle had come to love so much.

“Love like you just love who I am?”

“No as in, I love you, Danielle.”

“Oh that love, well your not too bad yourself,” laughed Danni.

“Oh it’s like that, oka…
” Before he could get any more words out, their lips where interlocked together like they were exploring new territory with their tongues. This was something neither had ever experienced before. Neither one of them wanted to stop, but they had to come up for air at some point. Danni was the first one to let go.

“Wow, I love you too Cameron.”
For a minute they stood there staring at each other both ready to start over.

“So you still wanna go see the movie?”

“Hell yeah, I had to beg you to take me, there is no way in hell I’m leaving without watching it. So let’s go before it starts.”

Any other time Cam would have said something slick, but he had to make up his fuck ups to her someway so he was willing to let her have this one. He was really starting to see forever with Danielle and he was willing to do anything in his power to see that it happens.

The girls were having lunch when they noticed that nobody had spoken to Sabriya in a couple of days. Danielle decided since they were all together that should just call and check up on her. The last time they spoke her and Keem were in Miami on vacation. Danielle put the phone on speaker as she waited for Sabriya to answer the phone.
