Grace’s Sweet Surrender (Siren Publishing Ménage Amour) (3 page)

“Well, it appears your dog is happy. He looks mighty comfortable in his new surroundings. He’s already over there marking his territory on the trees.” Brody laughed along with Hunter and Grace.

Hunter walked towards Grace “Brody and I will get your things out of the car and take them to your room. You can go ahead inside and take a look around.” Hunter watched as she called for Duke to follow her in the house. Hunter turned and then said to Brody, “Did you see her trunk? She sure does travel light.”

“It looks to me that she grabbed what she could and left with only the necessities. Do you think she might be in trouble, Hunter?” Brody asked.

“I watched Grace when we were interviewing her at lunch. She seemed a little skittish to me. I know we’re large men compared to her small frame, but I don’t want her scared of us. When we both stood from the booth, while at the restaurant, she kind of flinched and dropped her gaze at the size of us when we all stood up to leave. Maybe she’s scared by the size of us. I consider myself a gentle giant, not an ogre. Do you think someone hurt her? I don’t want her scared or timid around us.”

“I did notice those things about her. She seems so sweet. I would beat the living daylights out of the guy that laid a hand on Grace. I want her to be comfortable around us, especially if we are going to be living and working together. Women should be cherished, not treated as if they meant nothing,” Hunter said to Brody as they both headed into the house with her belongings.

“We need to get to know her as well as she needs to get to know us. Let’s show her around, and we’ll all get to know one another at dinner this evening.” Brody was eager to talk to her. He liked her from the minute she walked up to their table. Grace was the type of woman he was attracted to. She was sweet. She had kind soft eyes, and had a lush body he couldn’t wait to get his hands on
. Patience, Brody. We don’t need to scare her off right away. She’ll warm up to you and Hunter soon enough, and then you can take her to bed and enjoy her body along with your best friend.

Grace walked into the large house. It was bigger than it appeared from the front. She walked into the large living room where it had an L-shaped sectional that sat in front of the large flat screen TV on the wall. There were a couple leather recliners on each side of the couch.

As she walked past the living room to go into the kitchen, she noticed the large windows in the kitchen that overlooked the yard. From the windows, she could see a beautiful view of the trees and what appeared to be two acres of land behind the house. On the back patio, Grace saw a Jacuzzi and a huge barbecue island.

She turned around to look at the kitchen that she had just walked through. The kitchen was very practical. Dark wood cabinets and charcoal-gray granite counters surrounded the kitchen. Hunter and Brody had black appliances to match. Grace then felt a heavy hand on her shoulder, and she screamed in fright. She spun around so fast to see the concerned look in Hunter’s eyes. “Ahh…You scared the crap outta me!”

“I’m sorry, Grace. I thought you heard us come into the kitchen,” Hunter said as he stroked her arm.

“No. I guess I was just so caught up in how lovely your home is, and you caught me day dreaming. Goose-bumps rose from where Hunter felt her arm.

Brody looked out the large windows overlooking the backyard and said as he turned back toward her, “I think we kind of take for granted our surroundings sometime. We don’t have much time to relax and enjoy our home. We are so busy running the restaurant that we need to stop and relax once in a while.”

“Brody is right. Maybe with you staying here we can be more excited about coming home to someone every night. Brody and I are perfect roommates. However, we seem to miss female companionship around here sometimes.”

She then walked toward the hallway that led to the bedrooms. “Can you show me where I’ll be sleeping? I would like to get settled in before dinner.”

“Sure thing, Grace.” Hunter and Brody walked with her to one of the four bedrooms in the house. “This will be your room.” She was in awe of how big and beautiful her room was. She couldn’t help but to smile and feel a little overwhelmed at how lucky she was at this very moment.

“This can’t be my room! This seems to be the master bedroom. Can’t I just take one of the smaller rooms?” She stood there staring at the both of them.

Hunter walked in the master bedroom and said, “Grace, Brody and I have the other two rooms already occupied, and the fourth bedroom is our office. This is the only room we have to offer you.”

“Grace, sweetie, we want you to stay in here. Make yourself at home, take a long bath, and we’ll get dinner started. We’ll go find Duke and take him out back and let him roam the yard.” Brody smiled at her as they left her in the bedroom.

She stared at the empty doorway as she wondered how she had gotten so lucky to have met these kind men. Things between her and Ray had started off good as well. How was it that these two guys were any different? Grace didn’t want to be so naïve all her life in not wanting to learn to trust men. Something deep down in her soul told her to give them a chance, to prove that not all men and future relationships she encountered would end up as badly as Ray’s.

Hunter and Brody had been nothing but sweet and kind to her since she had met them. It was probably as difficult for them as well to open their house up to a complete stranger. All that mattered to her was that they had seen something in her that caused them to give her a chance to prove she could be a good waitress and enough trust to maintain their house for them. She had hoped this was the beginning of a new start for her and Duke. Things were looking up already for Grace Adams.

The evening was so cool Hunter and Brody had decided to have dinner on the patio. Hunter had opened a bottle of wine for her, while he and Brody had a beer with their steak and potatoes they had thrown on the barbecue. The conversation flowed amongst the three of them. Brody and Hunter had gone over her duties that were to be done around the house. Grace was also told that her shift at the bar and grill would start in a couple days so she could relax around the house tomorrow to familiarize herself in her new surroundings.

After dinner, they all helped clean the dishes in the kitchen. Hunter, Grace, and Brody took their drinks and sat in the comfortable chairs surrounding the fire pit.

Grace was so happy. She watched as Duke sat in the grass chewing on a steak bone that Brody had given him. “Duke seems to be content with his treat.” She peered at Hunter then Brody and said, “Thank you so much for today. I’m so lucky to have such trusting men as yourselves who want to take a chance on a stranger such as myself.”

Hunter stood from his chair and watched her as she sat in the chair next to him. “We needed you as much as you needed a place to stay and the waitress job. It just seemed like destiny was in your favor, Grace.”

Brody sat next to her and couldn’t help but stare at her from the corner of his eye when she wasn’t looking. She was so beautiful. Brody fully understood what Hunter was saying about Grace coming into their bar. She was brought to them by some unknown force. All it took was a sign in the window and a little help from God. Now they would be living and working with a beautiful woman that they were both sexually attracted to.

Brody and Hunter had talked earlier when she was unpacking the few things she had with her. They both agreed that they would like to get to know her better. Hunter and Brody were both physically attracted to her, but didn’t want to push her into a relationship too soon. How was it possible after just meeting someone in one day that they would even consider starting a relationship with her? One reason, he had never encountered such a strong connection with anyone ever in his life like he had the moment he met Grace.

She had mentioned very little about her ex-fiancé, and why they had broken off their engagement. It was obvious that she wasn’t ready to open up to strangers about what she was running away from. They would press for answers in the future. Grace had to learn to trust them and know that she could confide in them about anything. Brody just wanted to coddle her and comfort her the way a woman should be treated.

“Brody, are you okay? You seem a little quiet over there,” she said with a concerned look on her face.

He was amazed by how compassionate she was. “Nothing’s wrong, Grace. Everything is going to be perfect for Hunter and me now that you are going to be around to help make our lives easier,” Brody said with a big smile on his face. She seemed so sweet and sincere. The more they talked and got to know her, the more they agreed that they were happy at the turn of events that had changed all their lives in one day .

Hunter gathered his beer bottle from the side table and said, “Well, I have some paperwork to finish up in the office. So I will be saying good night to you both, and I’ll see you in the morning. Good night, Grace.” Hunter then leaned over to kiss her on the cheek.

“Yes, it’s been a long day. I think I’ll be going to bed now, too, sweetie.” Brody then got up from his chair to lean over to place a soft kiss on her cheek as well.

“It’s so quiet and peaceful out here. I think I’ll stay out here for a bit. Good night.” She watched as the two handsome men walked inside the kitchen and out of view. Their home was so welcome and inviting. Everywhere Grace had lived, she never found her place. She always felt out of her comfort zone. She had never had a place to call home. Just being here, around two generous and gallant men, made her very thankful at this moment.

They were so kind and selfless. Grace tried to help with dinner, but they insisted she just sit at the kitchen island and enjoy her glass of wine. Hunter and Brody told her she would be doing enough for them as bosses soon enough. Tomorrow she would tackle the house chores before she started working in a few days. She got up and made her way inside the house to get a good night’s rest.

After locking up the backdoor, she and Duke made their way to the bedroom. She still couldn’t believe they had given her the master suite. She heard a noise coming from Hunter’s office before heading upstairs to her room. Grace wasn’t a nosy person, but the low murmurs and sound coming from his room concerned her.

The door was cracked open enough to see Hunter sitting in his chair, turned slightly away from her, so she wouldn’t be seen. The sound she heard was now confirmed to be Hunter stroking his shaft from root to tip.

Holy Cow! That’s the hottest thing I’d ever seen
.

Hunter’s jeans were peeled back enough for her to see the light dusting of hairs surrounding the root of his penis. His eyes were closed and his lips were parted in pleasure. He stroked his shaft faster and harder than she would have done to a man. Grace saw his eyes squint and watched as his lower body twitched and bucked under his hand before he shot his seed into his hand.

Grace slowly backed away and quietly slipped down the hall to her room. Now she was in trouble. Hunter’s little scene in his office had made her panties wet. Good thing she remembered to pack her toy. If things kept up like this, she would need to keep an extra supply of batteries on hand.

The next morning Grace woke to the smell of coffee brewing. She got out of bed and stretched. The bed she slept in was like sleeping on a bed of pillows. She was still amazed that they had allowed her to have this room. The furniture was a dark cherry wood, and the walls were painted a brown-neutral color. Her comforter and sheets were all white. It looked and felt like she was sleeping on a hotel bed, so comfortable and inviting.

The master bath had a double sink with granite countertops. There was a huge glass walk-in shower, and off in the corner was a large Jacuzzi tub. She quickly showered then got dressed in jeans and a V-neck T-shirt. She had only grabbed what she could when she left her ex-fiancé, so Grace knew she would have to go shopping for some extra clothes soon. She then walked out of her room and started walking down the hallway toward the kitchen where she heard Brody talking to Hunter.

“I think I’m going to enjoy having Grace staying with us. The house was always so quiet with just the two of us around. Sometimes it gets lonely when one of us is home with no one to talk to,” Brody said while getting some breakfast going.

She took that moment to walk into the kitchen, “I don’t mean to interrupt your private conversation, but you two have saved my butt from paying rent and finding a job. It’s like an angel dropped me with you guys and this was all meant to be. I have always believed in the motto, ‘Things Happen for a Reason.’”

“Grace, we feel as if the angels have sent you to us. You are our godsend. Brody made some pancakes for you. We are going to grab some coffee, and then we have to head to the restaurant. Brody and I have a delivery we forgot about, so we have to be there before nine. I already showed you where everything is that you’ll need. I left both our phone numbers on the fridge if you have to get a hold of us.”

“Don’t worry about me. I’m going to enjoy a cup of coffee, and then I’ll get started on the laundry I saw piling up in the laundry room.”

Brody blushed at Grace’s statement. “Sorry about that. We kind of let things get piled up before one of us caves in and just does it.” He then walked up to her and hugged her and said, “Thanks, Gracie.”

Grace watched Hunter as Brody release
her from the tight hug. He then walked toward her and did the same. “We should be home about six tonight. Call us if you need anything.” Hunter smiled down at her beautiful face and released her before he and Brody walked out the back door.

She watched as her two roommates or bosses went to work. Grace had made a list of things she wanted to tackle first. First, she needed a cup of coffee. She then walked outside to see Duke lying on the back porch. She sat in the patio chair next to him. “I think we’ll be happy here for a while, Duke. They seem to be nice enough men. I feel comfortable around them. They don’t scare me like the previous men in my life did. I think we can trust them.” Grace sat and enjoyed the rest of her coffee before she started the day.
