“What are you going to do?”

She stares him down. “What do you think I’m going to do, Grayson?”

He shakes his head as he pleads, “Don’t. Please.”

I’m in the dark but his reaction makes me suspect he already knows what she’s referring to.

Meredith leaves her seat. “I admire your confidence in assuming I give a shit about what you want right now.”

“Don’t go.” This is painful to watch.

“You threw one of our biggest rules out the window. Now, I’m going to do the same thing. Hope you enjoy the way it feels.” It’s frightening how much Meredith sounds like her mother.

She walks away, waving at Grayson over her shoulder. “See you in the morning. Or not.”

I punch Grayson in the arm as hard as I can. “Douche nozzle! Why did you do that? You know she has huge issues with trust.” Meredith never had faith in a man . . . until Grayson. Now, he’s ruined that. “You may have literally just ended your marriage over one fuck.”

“I know. It was so fucking stupid. I don’t know what I was thinking.” He wasn’t thinking.

Meredith can go a little bat-shit crazy when she’s angry. She doesn’t always make the best decisions. “You know how vindictive she can be when she’s hurt. Get your ass up and go after your wife before she does something stupid that your marriage can’t bounce back from.”

Grayson runs his hand through the top of his hair. “Fuck, AJ.”

She’s going to get away if he doesn’t move fast. “Go. Now.”

Grayson dashes toward the exit without a word.

Meredith and Grayson don’t fight. Ever. This is new to me, and I don’t know what to think. “Not their finest moment. I’m sorry you had to see that.”

“Been there. I know how ugly it can get.”

He doesn’t know Meredith’s history. “You can’t begin to imagine how much she has feared this happening in her marriage. Grayson knows that, and now he’s wrecked her. I want to put my foot in his ass.” And I may yet.

Meredith’s parents messed up her perception of marriage. She grew up in the middle of a battle zone. Her father was forever cheating. Her mother always retaliated. Poor Mere didn’t know husbands and wives could get along until she met my parents.

I want to go after her, to make sure she’s okay, but she and Grayson need privacy to work this out. They don’t need me in the middle.

I’m not sure how Grayson will manage to make this right with her. Once the trust is gone, it’s gone.

Been there. Done that. It’s a sickening feeling.

Beau pulls me to stand between his legs and puts his arms around me. “I know he messed up, but swinging is what they’ve chosen to do within the confines of their marriage. This isn’t unfamiliar territory. They’ll work it out.”

Beau’s right. This isn’t the same thing as cheating within a monogamous marriage, although I’m certain it’s still hurtful.

“Don’t let it ruin your good time.” He puts his hands on my hips and sways my hips. “Bob Marley is playing. Want to dance with me?”

I listen for a moment. It’s “Is This Love,” one of my all-time favorites, so I can’t resist the invitation. I nod, taking his hand and moving to the crowded dance floor.

Everyone hit the floor when Bob Marley came on, and we’re squished like sardines. Fine by me. Means I can get as close as I like without unwelcome attention.

I turn my back on Beau and grab his hands. I put them on my hips and back up until my whole body is rubbing against him as we dance.

He puts his mouth to my ear. “You’re making me hard.”

“I know. I feel it pushing against my ass.”

“Not the way I’d like it to push against your ass.”

I haven’t had time to talk to Meredith about backdoor action, and I sure won’t get to now, but I’ve made my decision. “I’ve decided I want to.”

Everything Beau has done to me thus far has been amazing. If anyone can make it feel good, it’ll be him.

Beau twists me around so we’re facing one another. “You’re sure?”

I nod.

He cradles my face and kisses my mouth. He grabs my bottom and squeezes. “I’m paying our tab now; I don’t want to wait any longer than necessary to get in that ass.”

I’m inwardly cringing. “You have a filthy mouth.”

“Yes, I do.”

We’re in the back of the taxi on the way back to the resort, and I’m as nervous as a fox at a hound convention. “You’re quiet.”

“I’m thinking about it.” Psyching myself up.

He puts his arm around me and pulls me close. “I can tell. You’re trembling.”

“I’m afraid it’ll hurt.” I know a lot of people do it, but I can’t stop thinking about why the other part of the population doesn’t.

“I’ll get you ready for it. You’ll even want me to put it in when I’m finished warming you up.”

I have mixed feelings right now. Fearful. Excited. Aroused.

“Will you wear the black lingerie set with the fishnet stockings for me?” Good. That means he plans to give me plenty of time to prepare myself.

“I would love to wear that for you.”

The suite is spotless. It’s as though last night never happened. Except it did, and I pray it isn’t followed by disastrous repercussions.

I go to the bag and take out the black bra, G-string, and stockings. “I need a few minutes.”

“No problem.”

I slip into the sexy outfit and fluff my hair. I finish myself off with body spray as I inspect the final product in the mirror. I’m not a vain person but there’s no question––I look hot in this.

I feel every beat of my heart in my flushed face; I’m on edge, but I want this man and everything he has planned for me.

I come out of the bathroom and stop just inside the doorway. I don’t go to him right away. Instead, I put my hand on my hip and lean into the doorframe, supporting myself with a raised hand. He says nothing, but the hunger I see in his eyes tells me everything his mouth doesn’t. He’s dying to have me.
And fuck if that doesn’t turn me on.

He watches as I walk to where he’s standing by the bed. When I reach him, he twirls his finger in a circle. “Turn for me.”

I make a full spin before he drops to his knees in front of me. He kisses my stomach before he drags his tongue over my belly button.

I put my hand on top of his head and run my fingers through his thick, dark hair as he kisses each of my hipbones above the elastic waist of my G-string. No man has ever gone to his knees before me and explored my body like this. On one hand, it’s unnerving. On the other, it’s hot as hell and has me drenching wet.

I guess it’s all part of getting me ready for what’s to come.

He hooks his fingers in the black lace and drags them down my legs. I have to use his shoulders to balance myself and step out of them because my head is spinning so hard from everything he’s doing to me.

He tosses them aside and runs his hands up the back of my legs, starting at my ankles until he cups my cheeks and pulls my groin to his face. His mouth is almost right where I crave it most. I’m ashamed to admit how badly I yearn for his tongue.

He gazes up at me through long, dark lashes. He smiles when his eyes meet mine but we break contact when he leans forward to lick me in one long stroke. I’m stunned, but not by the feel of his tongue. It’s the sight of seeing him do that to me.

“Sit on the bed.” His voice is gruff. And demanding.

I sit farther back than he wants me to, so he grabs my legs behind my bent knees and pulls me until I’m barely on the edge. He takes my feet and places them on the rails before pushing my legs apart. “I want to eat you first.”

I’ve never had anyone say such crude things to me. I love it.

I tremble with an impatient desire to be touched. I’m considering begging when I feel the first flutter of his tongue.

Just as I grow accustomed to one motion and rhythm, he stops and changes to a completely different speed and direction. It’s a guessing game as to what he’ll do next and how it will feel.

Beau inserts his fingers and slides them in and out while he uses his mouth to stimulate my clit. I instinctively lift my hips from the bed in a rhythmic, rocking motion.

His fingers leave me, and he glides them toward the back. He touches me there, rubbing in a circular motion while he continues licking my clitoris.

I can’t help it. Instinct forces me to tense. “It’s okay. I’m only touching right now; you can relax.”

I catch my breath and loosen up, surprised to see how different his touch is from what I expected. It’s actually pleasurable, which puts me more at ease.

“I’m going to push one finger inside, Peach. It’s slick from being inside you already. It might feel strange but it won’t hurt.”

“Okay.”

He resumes licking me, and I feel the insertion of his finger. Again, I tense, but only for a second. “Good girl.”

He thrusts in and out slowly. I’m surprised a second time when I realize I’m rocking with him.

“You’re doing so good, baby. I’m going to give you two now.”

He just called me baby. But I don’t have time to think about it because his second finger enters me. Same reaction. Tense. Relax.

He repeats the same procedure, thrusting in and out slowly. “Does that feel good?”

“Yes.”

“Good. Now I’m going to make you come.”

I’m looking in the mirror above, watching his head bob between my legs, while he thrusts his fingers in and out of my bottom. It’s an entirely different type of sensation and arousal. It feels dirty and wrong. Taboo. Maybe that’s why I like it so much.

My back arches and I tense when the quivering begins in my pelvis. He sucks harder and thrusts faster. It’s almost more than I can stand. “Ohh . . . uhh.”

My body shudders and my womb flutters rhythmically for several seconds before it’s finished. Pulsating warmth spreads through my body. My face, hands, and feet tingle.

Beau comes up and kisses my mouth quickly. “I think someone liked their sample of anal play.”

“Guilty.”

He moves to the nightstand to fetch a condom and bottle of lube. It’s the first time I’ve seen that. We’ve not needed it before tonight. “I’m glad because there’s so much more to come.”

I prop on my elbows and watch him roll the latex sheath over his cock. I take note how much wider and longer it is. His fingers were pleasurable. This I’m not so sure of. His cock’s an impressive size.

“Don’t worry, Peach. I’m going to make it good for you.”

I’ve squirmed my way up the bed, so he grasps the back of my lower thighs and pulls my bottom to the edge just like when he went down. Not what I was expecting. “I thought you’d put me on my hands and knees.”

He slaps my butt cheek. “I will next time.”

He squirts a generous amount of lubricant in his hand before rubbing it on my bottom. “Gotta have it nice and slick so it’ll feel good.”

He kisses the top of my knee. “Ready?”

“Yes.” It sort of comes out sounding like a croaking frog. Not very convincing.

“I’ll tell you everything before I do it so there are no surprises.” That makes me feel minimally better.

“Okay.”

“I’m going to position myself at your entrance.” I’d call it an exit, not an entrance.

“I won’t thrust like usual. This’ll be more like a rocking motion with shorter strokes. It’ll go in easier like that.”

I inhale deeply and exhale. “I’m ready.”

“Tell me if anything hurts.”

Beau informs me of every move he makes beforehand. It’s reassuring and helps me to trust he won’t hurt me.

Pushing through the muscle inside me wasn’t the most pleasurable experience ever but things greatly improve after that. I feel like I’m ready for the full experience now.

“You’re okay?”

“Mmm hmm.” I can’t believe he’s giving it to me in the ass. And I like it.

Beau pushes my legs back and moves a little faster, although it doesn’t come close to matching what he usually does. “I love being inside you.”

I rock my hips in counteraction with Beau’s. “You like my cock in your ass, don’t you?”

The filth that comes out of his mouth! I can’t believe I let him kiss me with it. “I do.”

He pushes my legs apart, rubbing my clit. “I want to feel you come.”

I want to have an orgasm while he’s inside me, there; I want every kind of pleasure he’s willing to give me.

It isn’t long before I recognize the peak of my arousal approaching. “Omigod. It’s starting.”

My body rocks with the motion of Beau’s faster thrusts. The waves of pleasure in my pelvis explode. Everything in my groin buzzes with delight. A moment later, the sweet torture begins—the pulsation of contractions, mixing with the warm euphoria spreading throughout my entire body all the way to the tips of my curled toes.
Bliss
.

Complete and utter ecstasy—that’s what he gives me every time we’re together.

Beau’s face is so tense. I can tell he’s holding back because he doesn’t want to hurt me. “I’m fine. You can do it harder.”

“You’re sure?”

I reach out to touch his handsome face. “I’m positive.”

I’ve had my pleasure, twice, but now I get a third dose by watching him come undone.

He closes his eyes and moves faster. Deeper. I clench around him, making it a tighter fit.

I do it for him because I want this to be the best piece of ass he’s ever had.

“Oh, fuck,” he hisses through his teeth while thrusting into me three final times. Hard. Deep.

Beau pulls out of me and releases my legs. He collapses over me, chest to chest, heart to heart.

After a minute or two of intense breathing, he whispers, “I’m the only man who’s had that part of you. I’m glad I was your first.”

I wrap my arm around him, lacing my fingers through the back of his hair. “Me, too.”

Chapter 9
Anna James Bennett

T
here’s
a tickle on the tip of my nose. I swat at the annoying pest and scratch the itchy spot left in its wake. “Peach.”

Oh. Beau is the annoying pest. “Hmm?”

“Let’s get up and go down for breakfast. I’m starvin’ like Marvin.”

I grin. “I’m snoozin’ like Suzan.”

“Aren’t you the clever one?”

He pokes me in the rib with his fingertip and wiggles it back and forth. I instantly spasm, and my body contorts into a bizarre position. I despise being tickled.

We were planning to go out for dinner last night, but that was put on hiatus when I told Beau I was ready to let him have some backdoor action. “Funny how a little bum fun can make you forget to eat.”

“Are you up for having breakfast at the resort, or do we need to go into town?”

Beau has been such a good sport about taking me away from this place, so I should cut him some slack, especially since mornings around here have proven to be a normal experience. “I’m fine with eating here.”

He slaps my butt cheek. “Then get this fine ass up and get ready.”

I twist my hair into a bun to keep it from getting wet while I speed shower. I try to hurry because I know Beau is dying of starvation. I’d hate for him to perish since I’m certain there’s plenty of hot sex in store for us the next four days.

The countdown is on. More than half of my time with Beau Emerson is behind me, instead of ahead. The closer our last day comes, the more I consider what it would be like to go back to Buford and never see him again. The thought creates feelings of heaviness in my heart.

“The breakfast crowd is drastically smaller this morning.”

“Last night was the huge pool party. The attendees stayed up fucking 'til the crack of dawn therefore they’re sleeping in.” He has no idea how much that grosses me out.

“I guess we’re the prudes in the bunch since we stayed in to have sex privately.”

He wags his brows at me. “Baby, there’s nothing prudish about what happened in our bed last night.”

He called me baby again. I can’t stop the smile spreading over my face as I duck behind my menu. “Whatcha gonna have this morning?”

“The quiche.”

“It’s good but I’m going with the sweet potato pudding this time.” I’ll have coffee to counter the sweetness.

“Never tried that but I like sweet potatoes.”

“Then you’ll love this. You can have some of mine. No way I can eat all of it.” The bowl it’s served in is as big as my head.

I didn’t realize how hungry I was until our food was arrived. “Want a bite?”

He nods.

I spoon a sample and hold it out over the table, pulling it back each time he tries to put it in his mouth. “You little tease.”

Ping
!

I hear the sound of a new message, and I give him the bite so I can see if it’s Meredith.

“Finally, she responds. I must have called her at least a dozen times last night. I was worried because it went straight to voicemail every time.”

I need to see you

I’m not sure I like the tone of that message.

Swoosh
!

I’m at Devour.

Ping

Be right there.

“Meredith says she needs to see me so she’s coming by.”

Beau grimaces. “That doesn’t sound good.”

“I agree.” I’m worried about what she did last night.

I wave my hand when I see her standing at the restaurant entrance. “Shit. Grayson isn’t with her. That isn’t a good sign.”

“Did you really think he would be?”

“I guess not but I had hopes.”

Meredith pulls one of the empty seats from the table and joins us. “I’m happy you finally saw fit to contact me. I was worried all night.”

“I’m fine but I wanted to come by in person to let you know I’m going home today.”

“With Grayson?”

“No. He didn’t come to the room last night. I haven’t seen him since I left the reggae club. I’m sure he spent last night with
her
.”

Something is terribly wrong. She’s wearing huge Audrey Hepburn sunglasses instead of her usual Ray-Bans. “Take off your glasses.”

“No. I’ve been crying and my eyes are puffy.”

I see the edge of the purple bruise she’s tried to cover with foundation. “Take them off now.”

She doesn’t so I reach to do it for her. She slinks away, slapping at my hand. “Stop, Anna James.”

“Don’t make me cause a scene in the middle of this restaurant. Because I damn sure will.”

She removes her glasses and glares at me. “Happy?”

Her left eye is purple and swollen shut. “Oh, Mere. What happened?”

“The wrong guy––that’s what happened.” Her voice breaks on the last word.

The fucker didn’t blacken her eye in public, which means she was behind a closed door with him. “Did he do anything else?”

She pulls the neck of her shirt away. “He tried to choke me while we were having sex. I thought he was going to kill me.”

I can make out the partial outline of a handprint on her skin. His fingertips have left deep purple bruises on the front and each side of her neck.

She points to her face. “When I fought back, he did this to me.”

Grayson insisted she learn how to protect herself in case something like this ever happened. The defense skills he taught her may have saved her life. “Does Grayson know?”

She shakes her head. “No, and he’s not going to.”

She can’t keep this from him. “He’s your husband. You have to tell him.”

“I don’t have to tell him anything. He lost that privilege when he betrayed me.”

“Who did this to you?” Beau’s voice is alpha and commanding.

“Linc Michaels.” That son of a bitch. He’s the one who crawled into the booth with us at the private couples lounge and propositioned us for a poly relationship.

Beau curses beneath his breath.

“This is a very serious matter. Grayson needs to know his wife’s been violated.”

“I’m leaving because I don’t want him to see me like this. It’s humiliating.”

“This is a criminal offense. Did you report it?”

Meredith scoffs. “We’re in another country. What are the authorities going to do to him?”

“Maybe nothing but there should be a police report.”

“Don’t have time for all of that. I’ve changed my flight, and I’m leaving for the airport now. I came by because I couldn’t go without seeing you first.”

Meredith doesn’t need to be under the impression I’m going to keep this secret from Grayson. “If you don’t tell him, I will.”

She gets up to leave, and I stand to hug her. “Good luck finding him. He was out all night. If he’s still between her legs, he won’t resurface for a while.”

Is he stupid? Would he really throw away their marriage for a fuck?

I know he messed up, but I don’t think he’d do it again after seeing the way he hurt Meredith.

“Call me the minute you’re home. I need to know you made it back safely.”

“Will do.”

She replaces her sunglasses and points her finger at Beau. “You! Be good to my girl or I will drive to Buckhead and personally take it out on your ass. Despite what I look like right now, I’m a pretty good brawler.”

“You got it.”

My stomach drops to my feet as she walks away. “I feel sick.” All of that sweet potato pudding I just ate is threatening to make a reappearance.

“You have to call Grayson.” No doubt.

“Doing it now.” I choose Grayson’s contact and hit call. “That fucking Linc. I knew he was screwy, but who would have imagined he would be a choker and hitter?”

The phone rings several times and goes to voicemail. “I don’t want to tell him about this through text, but I’m afraid he won’t call if I don’t give him a heads-up something went wrong.”

Swoosh
!

Call me immediately. Something bad happened to Mere last night.

Grayson immediately calls me back. “What’s wrong? What happened?”

I’m not having this conversation over the phone. “Where are you?”

“The suite. All of Meredith’s things are gone. What is going on?” He must have just missed her.

“We’re leaving Devour right now. It’ll take us about five minutes to get back to Beau’s suite. Meet us there.”

“AJ! Is Meredith okay?” That’s a subjective opinion.

Physically, she’s going to be okay, but I think it’s highly probably she will experience some emotional repercussions from this.

She was assaulted. It has to be a reminder of the violence she witnessed between her parents. If I know Meredith, she’s going to equate this to her becoming like them. Her worst nightmare.

“It’s complicated.”

“That’s not an answer.”

“It isn’t a clear-cut yes or no. Come to our suite and I’ll tell you everything.”

Grayson’s standing outside our door when we arrive. His shirt and face are sopping wet with sweat. He must have run all the way here. “Will you please tell me what the fuck is going on?”

Beau opens the door and we file in. “Meredith was attacked by a man last night. He choked her hard enough to leave purple handprints and finger imprints around her neck. She fought back and was able to get free but he did a number on her face. One of her eyes is purple and swollen shut.” I leave off the part about Meredith having sex with him. Grayson can probably insert that part for himself but that’s for them to sort out.

“Who was it?”

“Linc Michaels,” Beau says.

“You know him?”

Beau nods. “He’s from Alpharetta.”

“Will you help me find him?”

“Gladly.”

Grayson is an experienced kick-boxer. He has the ability to do more than hurt someone. “What are you going to do?”

Grayson punches his fist into this palm. “He attacked my wife so I’m going to show him what it’s like to have his ass kicked.”

Assault in a foreign country. That’s a recipe for disaster. “Please don’t do anything that could get you detained by the police. You don’t need to land yourself in a Jamaican jail.”

Grayson takes his phone from his pocket. I assume he’s trying Meredith. “I’m kicking this guy’s ass and getting the fuck out of here so I can go home to my wife.”

“She’s not taking my call. Fuck.” He takes the phone away from his ear. “You ready, Beau?”

“I’m ready.”

He comes to me and kisses the side of my face. “Listen, Beau. Grayson works out with a professional kick-boxer. He has the ability to hurt this guy bad. Please don’t let him take it too far.”

“I’ll keep him in check.”

It feels like Beau’s gone too long. I’m a wreck, but I hate to call or text since I already know he’ll be back as soon as they’re done with Linc.

I decide it’s a good idea to sit on the balcony and watch for him. Or an ambulance.

I listen to the ocean’s waves. The sound normally brings me peace, but it’s a bust today. Too much has happened.

The curtains are sucked into the open doorway by the draft when Beau comes into the suite. “Out here.”

He comes the doorway, his shirt saturated with blood. “Not mine.”

“I take that as a sign you found Linc.”

“Yeah, but it took a while.” Coward was probably hiding since that’s what cowards do.

“Grayson opened a can of whoop ass on him?”

“I don’t want to piss that man off. He’s a beast.”

“Told ya. You didn’t have to moderate?”

Beau shakes his head, appearing to be in disbelief. “Dude never lost control. Every move he made was calculated.”

“He’s been training for a while. I think focus is one of the first things they’re taught.”

“He’s yet to see what his wife looks like. He’s going to regret not killing Linc Michaels when he gets home and figures out how brutally he attacked her.” Alpharetta isn’t far from Buford. Linc might want to consider lying low for a while.

“I’m glad he didn’t know. He might has done something very bad.”

“I’m not sure how much control I’d have if your face and neck looked like Meredith’s.” I don’t know what that means. Would he go after Linc to right a wrong or would some form of affection for me drive him to go after my attacker?

I have no idea.

“I need to check in with Grayson.”

I call his cell and he answers on the first ring. “Tell me you’ve heard from her.”

“I haven’t. Sorry.”

“My calls go straight to voicemail.”

“Her phone’s probably turned off because she’s on her flight.” Or she’s blocking him. Meredith wouldn’t hesitate to do something like that.

“I can’t live without her, AJ.” His voice is gritty with raw emotion. Good. He needs to feel the pain and consequence of his actions.

“Where were you last night while Meredith was getting the shit beat out of her?” I need to know he wasn’t with that woman if I’m going to give him my support.

“I got drunk with some buddies and then slept it off in your suite. I knew she wouldn’t let me go to our room, and frankly I didn’t want to walk in on something I could never unsee.”

My room was booked under his name, so he wouldn’t have had a problem getting a key.

“I swear I was not with her, AJ. I’m not stupid enough to go down that path again.”

“I believe you.” But I’m not the one he has to convince. “You have your work cut out for you. What are you going to do?”

“I’m going home to try and save my marriage. My flight leaves in two hours.” Good. That’s the first step toward a reconciliation.

He has to get moving if he’s going to catch that flight. “Call me as soon as you can. I need to know everything is okay.”

“I will. Love you, AJ.”

“Love you, too, G.”

I’m gutted when I end my call. “I don’t think I feel like going out today.”

“That’s fine. We can stay in, watch television, and order room service. Anything you want.”

“Thank you for being understanding.”

“No problem. I need to make a few phone calls anyway. Plus, my brother emailed me about a new listing in Buford. I should probably check it out now in case I need to move fast to secure it.”

Wow. He’s serious about moving his gig to Buford. “I’m happy to take a look if you need me to.”

“Thanks, Peach. I may have to hire you on as a business consultant.”
