Lured From the Path (6 page)

Her hand pressed to his chest and sent flames
running over his ribcage. Lights flashed before his eyes, distant
bells filled his ears, rolling fog soothed the fire licking the
interior of his skull. The nerves within his cock hauled themselves
to the surface and merged with the silken walls of her pussy,
blowing sheer sensation through his length and dragging his soul
from his depths. It swirled in a vapor that poured from him into
her.

Her body clamped down on his until he
couldn’t breathe. His lungs turned inside out as his essence rose
up, exploded through his skin and burned his throat. Willa locked
her mouth to his, breathing it in, taking it as her due. Claiming
it as it her own.

His head was lost in fog, utter bliss took
hold of his sanity. He dragged her down on his length, pushing
through the resistance of her convulsing tissues, ramming against
the end of her. Deep, where he needed to be. His balls climbed up
into his body and poured themselves from his cock as starbursts
stole his sight.

His knees gave out, but he didn’t care. His
lungs collapsed, but he didn’t care. Not when Willa was wrapped
around him, her pulsating pussy dragging him beneath a pleasure
more tempting than the peace of the lake closing over his head.

He let her take his final breath as the dark
water took his life.

Chapter 8

The call of wolves snatched him from the arms
of a deep sleep. The sound echoed through the cottage,
reverberating off the walls, spinning around his body and tugging
him out of bed. His old heart twisted and squeezed as he staggered
around the furniture blindly.

They were close. Too close.

Henryk raced to the window, only to stop
short before reaching it. Fear held him like a lover, rooting his
feet to the floorboards as a wave of heat spiraled from his toes to
his scalp, licking his muscles with fire, shuddering into his
bones. He struggled to find courage.

A snowy white body slammed into the window,
rattling the glass in the frame. The wolves cried again. Henryk
jerked back with a gasp, his vertebrae fusing in a hot rush and his
chest clenching around his lungs.

Slowly, he crept forward, reminding himself
that he was in his home, a safe haven from the terrors of the
forest outside the window. Safe from the beautiful monsters that
danced under the moonlight just beyond the tree line. With a
shaking hand, he braced himself against the wall and peered through
the glass.

Silver moonlight streamed over the landscape,
catching on the pines to create deep shadows beneath their feathery
branches. The ethereal light ghosted over a solitary swan as if it
couldn’t help itself, lovingly illuminating the perfection of its
form as it lazily circled toward the ground.

The swan angled toward the path leading into
the woods, passing through impenetrable shadow. Henryk blinked and
the swan disappeared into the darkness.

A woman appeared between two pines at the
very edge of the path. Tall and thin, her honey colored hair
cloaked her naked frame, falling to hips that would fill any man
with lust. She watched him as he watched her, but she seemed calm
while his heart fought to climb from his chest.

Shadows shifted behind her. A man stepped
forward to claim her hand and a radiant smile spread over her face.
Henryk squinted, pressing his nose to the glass as familiarity
flowed through his head with a hazy chill. The man stepped forward,
the moonlight immediately caressing his naked body as it had the
woman. Lovingly.

The man raised his hand in acknowledgement of
Henryk’s observation before gathering the woman close and leading
her back into the forest. For a long time, the old man stared at
the place the pair had been, memories pouring through his head and
heart. Sadness mingled with wonder. Henryk took a deep breath and
went back to bed.
