Pressing a thumb inside her, he licked a
scorching path from her perineum up to her swollen clit. He sucked and teased
the engorged bud, forcing one after another ragged sobs from her until her
knees threatened to buckle. Just when she felt her body grow rigid, he steered
her leg off his shoulder and stood.

Gia wavered, unsteady, watching his every
move as he peeled his jacket off before jerking his tie free and reaching for
the buttons on his shirt. His broad shoulders and muscular torso made her
stomach clench. He toed off his shoes as his shirt hit the floor. Her gaze
followed his hands as he activated the buckle and his belt retracted. The bulge
between his thighs was impressive, even more so when he dragged his pants down and
removed his socks.
Oh God, he’s going commando.

Gia’s mouth watered to taste him. She eased
her hand down his stomach, farther into the mound of hair, but his fingers
closed around her wrist.

“No, baby. Not this time.”

He stood before her, gloriously naked, cock
hard, arcing against his abdomen. His chest moved with shallow breaths while
her pulse sped and her heart pounded wildly.

Gia had missed him so much.

“Come here,” he whispered.

She was lost to deny him.

Marc felt like one big knot of emotion. He
couldn’t hide the trembling in his hands as he reached for her. When his arms
closed around her, he inwardly released a sigh of relief.

Cupping her ass, he raised her off her
feet. Gina didn’t need him to tell her what to do as she locked her legs around
his waist. A couple of steps and he had her back against the wall. Her arms
circled his neck.

Angling his hips, he thrust upward, parting
her moist folds and sinking into her warmth. “You’re mine, Gina.” His voice was
a low rumble against her ear. He felt her response, her tremor. “Forever,” he
added.

Easing back so that he was nearly free of
her sheath, he drove back in, relishing the tightness. The wet embrace of her
body nearly undid him before he even got started. She was so hot he didn’t know
how long he’d last. He wanted it to be hours but it had been too long, he had
teased her for too long, enduring the bittersweet anticipation along with her.

Heat and pressure began to build at the
base of his cock. Marc willed the heady sensation back with a hiss between
clenched teeth. He wanted to take her slow, love her like she deserved, but
every cell in his body was screaming for fulfillment. His dick hardened into a
steel rod. He swore beneath his breath.

She writhed against him, making soft sounds
of encouragement. Through feathered lashes, she touched her lips to his. “Fuck
me, Marc. Take me now.”

Her sensual request forced him to take a
deep, steady breath before he pulled back and entered her, again and again. He
slammed his body into hers with a primal need to conquer and claim her.

Sweet, sweet pain exploded in his testicles
as they slapped against her ass. The scent of their loving was an aphrodisiac
that overwhelmed him, threatening to devour him. It didn’t help that her
nipples were hard beads rubbing against his chest, her fingernails scoring his
back as her pussy became unbelievably snug around him.

Wedging his legs farther apart, he withdrew
and then flung his hips forward, burying himself to the hilt.

Gina cried out. Before she could catch her
breath, he fucked her hard and fast. She bucked against him. Her inner muscles
contracted and flexed, milking and holding him in the depths of her haven.

A roar filled Marc’s head. Blood rushed to
his groin. A fiery mixture of love, pain and desire spread furiously throughout
his body, paralyzing him. Liquid heat, gathering in intensity and strength,
thundered down his shaft, releasing with a force that nearly ripped him off his
feet. He closed his eyes, savoring the feel of her body rippling around him as
he joined her. With each jerk of his cock, a shudder raked through him.

In the aftermath he collapsed against her,
face buried in the crook of her neck. Her breathing was still labored, matching
his. Their hearts pounded in unison. He stayed deep within her until he began
to soften. Only then did he release her legs and let them drift to the floor.

Marc took her mouth in a slow, passionate
caress. When his tongue delved between her lips, she sucked it into her mouth,
giving as much as receiving. Breathless, they broke apart. The sated look in
her eyes warmed him.

He pressed his forehead to hers. Raising
her hand, he smiled before he kissed the ring circling her finger. “So does
this mean you’ll marry me?”

Lost for words, Gia stared at the diamond
on her hand. It glowed beneath the lights, beautiful and glistening. She hadn’t
been thinking when she put it on.
Hell.
She hadn’t exercised her brain
from the moment she turned and saw Marc standing before her.

Gia glanced up at him and her heart skipped
a beat.

Undeniable love shone in his soft
expression, or was she seeing what she needed to see? More than anything she
wanted to scream yes, to grab on to everything he offered, but she didn’t trust
herself. Her bad judgment had gotten her into one too many sticky situations.

“Marc—”

Gia tugged at the ring but it wouldn’t come
off. Frowning, she tried again with no success.

He flashed her one of his drop-dead smiles.
“It’s a sign.”

A stream of uneasy laughter burst from her
mouth. “It’s stuck—not a sign.” Rotating the ring, she attempted once more to
remove it but it was firmly attached to her finger.

“Believe what you want, but we were meant
for each other.” He raised her hand to just a breath away from his mouth. “I
love you, Gina. I want you as my wife. I want to go to bed each night buried
inside you, wake each morning with you in my arms. I want to share my life with
you, have children, grandchildren. I want you to meet my family. I even want to
harass and tease your brothers on which football team is better.” His lips
caressed her knuckles and the ring. “Say you’ll marry me.”

In her mind, Gia tried to dismiss his
words, words that had touched her so profoundly she felt the love inside her
grow, not diminish. She didn’t want to love him or need him as badly as she
did.

Her gaze rose to his lips, a hunger rising
such as she’d never felt before. “Kiss me.”

“Kiss you?” Marc repeated. His cock jerked,
thickening. He pulled her into his embrace and incredibly, she felt his need
come alive again against her stomach. “I’ll do more than kiss you.”

Once again, she found her back against the
wall. Strong hands cupped her ass, lifting. In seconds her legs were locked
around him. His erection was velvet steel against her pussy, waking her arousal
in a slow, tightening coil. Breasts heavy and swollen, her nipples tingled. She
rocked against him, needy.

One powerful thrust and he filled her to
the hilt. Then he covered her lips with his and began to move inside her. He
pleasured her with his mouth, his tongue, mimicking what his body was doing to
her below. His warmth seeped into her skin, heating the chill that had filled
her for so long, his love a power so seductive she became lost within it.

“Marry me.” His lips were featherlight
against hers.

“Yes,” she hissed.

A short, rough sound echoed in his chest.
“Yes?” His mouth curved into a triumphant smile before he captured hers again
in a kiss that tasted of passion, of love and forever.

At that moment, Gia knew her decision had
been right. Freed of her inhibitions, she let their fevered pleasure sweep her
away.

Epilogue

Four months later…

The final scene of
Starlight
was
coming to an end. Gina sparkled as brightly as the magical setting surrounding
her. A forest of large oak trees draped in emerald vines and nocturnal orchids
intertwined with other colorful flowers gave off a sweet scent. Beneath a
bramble bush, a rabbit twitched his ears. An artificial full moon hung against
an ebony sky dotted with thousands of stars. But it was the woman bathed in a
soft glow of light that held Marc’s attention. Standing on a cushion of green
moss, she spoke her final words and then bowed her head, dipping into a
graceful curtsy.

A roar of thundering applause exploded,
cheers following. Overwhelming pride filled Marc. He clapped and marveled that
this exquisite creature was his wife. She had chosen him to love.

Before she rose, the film crew rushed her.
Happiness danced in her eyes as she greeted their onslaught of congratulations.
Buried in the shadows, Marc didn’t attempt to intrude on her joyful moment.
This was her world, a world where she belonged.

Through the crush of people, his wife
scanned the room. He couldn’t help the grin that spread across his face when he
realized she sought him. Their gazes touched and his chest tightened. Her
sensual smile was meant for him alone. Its warmth seeped into his heart.

She was dressed in her fairy gown of sheer,
iridescent material clasped at one shoulder by a golden brooch, the same one
she had worn the first time he had seen her after their trip to Oregon. Like
then, she took his breath away. There was something ethereal about her
appearance that forced memories to the forefront of his mind. In her dressing
room, he had dislodged that pin, the silk shimmering down her body leaving her
naked and his pulse speeding. His cock stirred, firming against his zipper.
Subtly, he moved his hands before him to hide the obvious, but not before her
knowing grin deepened.

Damn
.
When
would the new wear off?
The woman was killing him.

Day and night, he wanted her—craved her. With
just a word, a simple look from her, his libido soared. But maybe that was what
love was all about, a staggering desire to share his life with Gina—forever.

Amidst the overflowing chatter, melodious
laughter rose, stroking him with a gentle caress. Gina was amazing. She spoke
to everyone who approached her but kept shooting small glances his way as if
she couldn’t bear to be away from him. He knew that feeling, because it seemed
like forever since he’d held her in his arms. It wasn’t long before she excused
herself.

Weaving through the crowd, she headed
straight for him. Hips swaying, eyelids heavy, she sensually slid her tongue
over her full lips and stopped before him.

The tingling in his groin built, not
helping his current problem. “Stop that.” He groaned.

“Stop what?”

He saw through the innocent flutter of her
lashes. “You know
what
. The way you’re looking at me.” As if she wanted
to devour him.

Leaning into him, she brushed her lips over
his. “It appeared to me you might need a
hand
?”

Marc sucked in a breath. “What?”

Her gaze dipped south to the bulge between
his thighs. Her voice dropped an octave. “With that.”

A rush of liquid desire coursed through his
veins.

“Wretched wench.” Marc pulled her into his
arms, his lips close to her ear. “Baby, I’ll take a hand, a mouth, anything you
are willing to—”

“Am I disturbing anything important?”
Gina’s new agent, Georgia Brown, sidled up to them. Short and bookish, she wore
an ear-to-ear grin beneath a nose that was a little too long. “You’re not going
to believe what just passed over my desk.”

Gina twisted in Marc’s arms, leaving them
wrapped around her waist. “What?”

“A script for an historical film and, Gia,
it was written for you. In fact, the producer called and the leading part is
yours.” The woman’s excitement beamed across her face as the news tumbled out
of her mouth. Before Gina could respond, Georgia continued. “But we’ll have to
leave in a week. England. What do you say? Should I call the producer? Make
travel arrangements? Are you coming along, Marc? Damn. I hope we can tie things
up with your attorney and Mr. Temin before we leave.”

After their small wedding two months ago at
her parents’ house, Gina’s ex-agent-slash-boyfriend finally realized that
wooing her wasn’t an option. Like the parasite he was, he was using their
contract to stay in her life. It had been Georgia who had showed them the
loophole in their agreement. Doug would soon be history, as would Mary, who had
moved back home to Cincinnati.

Gina shook her head. “I have to pass.” As
she glanced over her shoulder at Marc, he heard her disappointment. “Remember
we’re taking a month-long honeymoon starting tomorrow.”

“Sweetheart.” Marc gazed down into her
crystal-blue eyes. “Spain is close to England. We could change the location and
kill two birds with one stone.”

“Really?”

“Gina, I know when an opportunity presents
itself you have to jump on it. I also know what your career means to you. And
there’s nothing I enjoy more than watching you perform.” He gave her a hug and
then let her go.

“Wonderful,” Georgia beamed. “I’ll make all
the arrangements.
Oh. Oh. Oh.
” Her eyes widened. “There’s more. Terry
Livens wants a meeting with you.” Her eyes gleamed. “He wants to offer you the
lead role in a series that he’s considering.”
