I
must first say a big thank-you to my entire Harper team: Erica Sussman, Sarah Barley, Tara Weikum, Susan Katz, Elise Howard, Kate Jackson, Diane Naughton, Cristina Gilbert, Laura Kaplan, and Marisa Russell. You've made this experience a pleasure as always.

Kate Lee, words can't express the gratitude I have for all the work you've done on my behalf. It's such a pleasure to work with you. Sam Wilson, thank you so much for your great work and advice—you're always a great advocate for me!

To my family: Mom, Dad, Adrianne, Erica, Marcus, Lisa, and William—thank you all for being there for me and supporting me through this process. I couldn't do it without you!

To all of my dear friends: Thank you for keeping me sane and sharing your passion for my books with your friends and family.

Finally, to all the teachers and librarians who love these books and invite me into your schools, I give you the greatest thanks.
