My Sergei (35 page)

Now I need to see friends. I never thought I’d learn to talk to people, to be interested in other people’s lives. I was never
very good about this. But I’ve started to be a little more open with people. I’m interested to hear what they think about
things. I’ve gotten to know my parents again, what they like to do, what they don’t like. I’d forgotten these things. There
are new things in life, and probably good things in life, that I am just now starting to discover.

So I am cautiously stepping into the future with my mind set on becoming, if not happier, at least wiser in life. My youth
I am leaving behind. It will stay always with my precious Seriozha.
