“Bastian,”
he said.

“What?”
she asked breathlessly.

“Call
me Bastian. The next time you come on my cock, I want you to call me Bastian.”

Before
she could reply, he was pulling out. Keva wet her lips. “Are we…are we done?”
She felt languid from her orgasm, but she didn’t think she’d helped him. He was
blue, and she hadn’t felt any of his abilities enter her.

“We’re
just getting started.” He sat on the edge of the bed. “Sit in my lap.”

She
did. When she looked up she realized that she could see them in the mirror on
the bureau. She began shaking her head. “No.” She didn’t want to watch him fuck
her. Forgetting tonight would be difficult enough. She didn’t need visuals.

He
gripped her hips and hauled her back when she would have walked off. “Keva,
it’s too late to be squeamish and too early for denial.” He pulled her down
onto his lap, his thick erection fitting between the cheeks of her ass.

She
closed her eyes, refusing to watch. That didn’t deter him in the least. His
large palms started at her knees and worked their way up the insides of her
thighs. He avoided her pussy and moved up her sides. His hands were so large
that they practically spanned her waist. She bit her lip as he skirted her
breasts. Instead, he wrapped her in an embrace, his arms beneath hers, his
hands cupping her shoulders.

His
hot mouth opened over a sensitive spot on her neck. Keva moaned and rolled her
head to the side to give him better access. He nibbled and sucked as she
panted. She pressed back against his arousal. His hands moved back down her
sweat-sheened skin to grip her hips. He lifted her. Her legs were on either side
of his so he had only to spread his thighs to open her to his entry.

She
was wet from her earlier orgasm, but it still took a series of thrusts for him
to take her. “Mine,” he growled as he filled her to the hilt. He thrust up, one
long, slow glorious slide in and out. “So beautiful,” he murmured. He taunted
her nipples with his palms, keeping them out of reach for a full caress but
close enough to abrade the tips. It was driving her crazy. Her eyes snapped
open and her gaze was snared by his in the mirror. His irises were pure
platinum. He pumped up into her again and she moaned. He grinned at her. “Look
at you, so full of my cock.” The contrast of their skin tones was beautiful.
Her caramel body was draped over his paler one like the sweet topping on a
sundae. Slowly, she allowed her eyes to drop to where they were joined. It was
brutal in its intensity. He kept her legs spread wide so that her vision was
unimpeded. Her pussy was stretched tight by a virtual stranger’s thick cock.
Heavily veined and an angry red, it amazed her that she could take it all. It
was an erotic sight and rather than frightening her, it turned her on even
more. Her hips moved with him. She couldn’t stop herself. “Oh, yeah,” he
groaned. “Fuck me.”

His
hands dropped to her waist as they strained together. Her breasts bounced until
she cupped them herself, pinching her nipples. The pleasure bordered on pain as
he angled her so that he was once again fucking her G-spot. She felt like an
animal in heat, a prisoner to this man’s cock. Her head fell forward as she
gave herself over to the passion.

“Keva.”
The bed squeaked in protest as he picked up the speed. There was a difference.
She could feel his power begin to tap at her mental psyche. It was
uncomfortable for her to let him in while they were already so connected. The
intimacy of it was more personal than the usual Channel connection and more
intimate than the actual act of mating.

His
power rolled over her in a rush, like an electric high. She trembled in his
embrace. Sebastian chose that moment to strum her clit. “Come for me,” he
demanded. She did, screaming his name. His arms crushed her and she felt his
sperm hitting her womb, each splash intensifying the strength of her orgasm. Simultaneously,
psychic energy flooded her with the force of a hurricane gale. It built and
built into a crescendo and ended just when she thought her mind could take no
more.

When
it was over, she lay limp in his embrace, too exhausted from the sex and the
connection. “Did it work?”

“See
for yourself.”

She
looked in the mirror. His eyes were back to normal, and he wasn’t glowing.
However, her eyes were silver. She blinked, expecting the color to dissipate.
It didn’t. “What the hell?” She got off him and crossed to the bureau. “How
long will this last?”

“I
don’t know.” He came to stand behind her. “I’ve never done this before.”

“Then
how did you know it would work?”

He
shrugged his broad shoulders. “I just did.” He ran his hands through his long
hair. “Thank you. What you did…it was an incredible sacrifice.”

What
she did…
She trembled.
She’d let him fuck her.
And it was the best sex she’d ever
had. How sad was that? The consequences of her actions tonight…She wouldn’t
think of it. There would be opportunity enough for worry later. “You’re
welcome,” she said softly. Crossing her arms over her breasts, she cleared her
throat. “Um, I had an injection to prevent pregnancy a few years ago.”

He
smiled. “I know. I also know we’re both disease-free.”

Wet
from herself and him, she needed to clean up. She could feel his come running
down the inside of her thigh. “Um, where’s your shower?” He nodded his head
toward a door. She scooped up her clothes and made a beeline for the bathroom.
She made the water as hot as she could stand it. Shock was setting in. She’d
fucked a stranger. She’d saved him but this definitely crossed the line of what
she expected to do for her job. And she would
never
do it again. Which
meant she needed to find out what Sebastian’s ability was and get him to start
using it so that the regular methods would work for him.

She
scrubbed herself, leaning back from the spray so as to keep her hair dry. The lips
of her pussy were tender and bruised. He’d been so large. God, how was she ever
going to forget this? Especially since he’d made her see how great they looked
together. How was she to forget the sight of him surging up into her body? His
bronze skin against her caramel tone was sexy and beautiful.

Dressed
once more, Keva screwed up her courage and reentered the bedroom. Sebastian had
put on a black T-shirt and jeans. He’d pulled his hair back into a ponytail. He
was sitting on the bed. The still rumpled bed. He stood when he noticed her.
“Um, I talked to Ken and Mike. They want to thank you, too.”

“You
can thank me by coming back to IOP with me.”

“Why?”

“So
that we can test you and find out your talent. This will happen again if you
don’t get a handle on it.”

“No.”

“No?
Sebastian, what will you do if this happens again?” At his silent perusal, she
crossed her arms over her chest. “No. This was an emergency. It will
not
happen again.”

“I
don’t think either of us will have a choice in the matter.”

“What
do you mean?”

He
crossed to the corner and picked up a violin. She hadn’t noticed it there
before, but she’d been too distracted by Sebastian to notice much of anything
else in the room. “I got this when I turned fourteen.” He ran the bow across
the strings and she winced. Obviously, he needed more practice. “I can’t play,”
he said in the understatement of the year, “but when my powers are at their
height, I’ve been told that I’m a virtuoso. When I was sixteen I was fed up
with my abilities interfering with my life, so I chucked this. Two weeks later,
I woke up with it beside my bed.”

She
frowned, not getting his meaning. “And this relates to this situation…how?”

“Keva,
when I want you, I’ll come for you and nothing you or I do will stop it from
happening.”

Keva
bit into the peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich Mike and Ken had provided her
with as dinner. They hadn’t thought to bring anything other than the most basic
food supplies. Having already eaten, they were playing video games. Though the
door to the kitchen was closed, she could hear them trash talking one another. Sebastian
sat across the table from her. She was pissed at him. How could he have let his
situation become so dire? She’d learned that he’d abandoned using his psychic
powers after his parents had disowned him. It was a stupid thing to have done
since he was a level A and definitely on the high end. And now he’d dragged her
into this mess. Her appetite fled despite the fact that she hadn’t eaten anything
but a fruit salad at lunch. That meal had long since burned off.

On
top of that, her connection with Sebastian was unlike any she’d experienced
prior to this. Her eyes were still silver. She kept getting vibes off objects
that she touched. Mike and Ken’s emotions were bombarding her. She could
feel
that they were happy that their friend was safe but they were concerned
about the cost to her. As soon as the effects of the connection wore off, she
was going home.

Sebastian
ate his sandwich in silence. When he finished, he said, “You can stay the night
if you want.”

Keva
wasn’t sure what to make of him. He was quiet and almost shy. He was certainly
not the same man who’d made her watch as he skewered her on his dick less than
an hour ago. A pained expression crossed his face and she realized he could
read probably her thoughts or emotions.

“Both,”
he murmured, responding to her unspoken question. “When I was younger, it was
just mood. I thought it was something everyone could do. I can block it when
I’m not overwhelmed. I have been blocking it. But I can’t do that with you
right now. It’s like we’re…” He paused to clear his throat. “It’s like we’re
one person.”

She
felt her cheeks grow hot and hoped that the blush wasn’t noticeable. She had to
stop thinking about sex. “I’m not getting anything off you.”

“I
keep a tight rein on my thoughts and emotions.”

He
was repressed. She believed it was a direct result of having such narrow-minded
parents. Keva would like a few minutes alone with those monsters. She’d have a
few choice words for them. How could they disown their own child? He couldn’t
help that he was psychic.

Sebastian
picked up his glass of milk and drained it. She watched the muscles work in the
strong column of his throat. She wondered how a guy who was so handsome could
be so reserved. “What do you do for a living?”

“Currently,
I’m a Web-site designer.”

“Do
you own your own company?”

He
nodded. “In a way. I’m freelance.”

“And
that works well for you? You earn enough money?”

He
gave her a sardonic smile. “What is it you want to know, Keva? What are you
getting at?”

“Your
friends said that women are always throwing themselves at you.”

He
cast a glance at the door. “Yeah. So?”

“Do
you have someone special in your life?”

“You
want to know if I’m a cheater?” He laughed, and it sent a shiver down her
spine. It was a husky, sensual sound. She’d never known a man with such a sexy
laugh. “Do you really think any woman would want to be with me on a permanent
basis? Shit, I scare the hell out of myself sometimes.”

She
looked him over and thought it very likely that a woman would stand by his side
despite everything. “You don’t have to live this way, afraid of yourself and
what you might do. You can come in. We’ll test you. Give you access to psychics
with the same abilities and teach you to handle your powers responsibly.”

He
arched one thick black brow. “Do you get commission for rounding up the
freaks?”

“You
know that’s not true. You know I don’t think of you that way.”

He
looked down at his hands. “I know that. You’re a good person, Keva. Too good
for the way I’ve treated you tonight.” He cleared his throat. His eyes were
full of meaning as they met hers. “I’m sorry I was so rough with you.”

She
shook her head. She didn’t want to think about that or talk about it. “You
didn’t hurt me,” she said briskly. She nibbled her bottom lip. “I’m just glad
that you’re okay. That it wasn’t for nothing.”

He
inhaled. “Listen, I would appreciate it if in your report you didn’t reveal my
identity.”

She
frowned. “Why?”

“You
trust IOP, but I don’t. I’ve been there and they didn’t help me. I got really
bad vibes about the place. I’d prefer to stay off their radar.”

She
thought his paranoia was unwarranted but understood the reaction. It couldn’t
be easy to trust when he was so often persecuted. “I’ll enter ‘not provided’ in
the name section.” She would have to alter the report at any rate. If she was
truthful about the method of therapy she provided to Sebastian, she’d be fired.

“Thank
you. Your eyes are brown again.”

“Then
I guess I should be going.”

“It’s
late. You’re welcome to stay.”

“I’d
rather sleep in my own bed.”

“I
wouldn’t…expect anything further of you.”
