“I have been nervous about finding my sister and of course,
my brothers coming after us. Even while thinking about all that, I felt the
connection between us although I fought it.” She met his eyes and licked her
lips. “I was afraid to trust it because it happened so fast.”
“I felt the same and I knew what to expect.” He pressed a
kiss to her forehead. “But I wasn’t letting you disappear on me. I’ve searched
for too long to find my mate.”
She shook her head at that arrogant tone and his unrepentant
attitude. “It’s not going to be easy and sex isn’t always going to improve my
mood.”
“Then we’ll try more of everything until something works.
You haven’t seen anything until you’ve seen a Zarain determined to keep his
mate happy,” he said. The sincerity rang in his tone.
As annoying as she found his arrogance at times, she
wouldn’t change him. She might have freed him from the monks, but he’d saved
her from far more than her brothers’ plans. She had love and hope. She’d fight
to keep them and him.
Rebecca Airies has always loved to read. Futuristic, the
classics, mystery or horror, the genre doesn’t matter as long as the stories
capture her interest and take her on an adventure. She soon discovered a love
for writing and characters just waiting to tell their stories. Since that time,
writing has become an obsession.
Rebecca lives in the heart of Texas. She loves the outdoors,
growing things and working on crafts when she’s not lost in the worlds of her
