Romance in Dallas - Tycoon! (17 page)

"Yes, thank you. And you are all right
also?"

She still hadn't asked him in. "Am I to stay
on the porch all night?" he asked finally.

Rubbing her eyes, she said, "I'm sorry. Come
in. Sorry, the place is sort of a mess right now."

And he thought it really seemed lived in,
with papers and magazines here and there, but wasn't too bad. "It's
all right," he said, "you've been gone for a while. I won't hold it
against you."

She sat on a chair while he sat on the sofa.
The silence was awkward between them.

"Are you having pain?" she asked him, with a
concerned look on her face.

"Yes," he told her, although he really wasn't
having any aches or pains.

"Well, I don't have a table here, but my bed
is fairly firm." She yawned.

"Did I wake you?" he said softly, noticing
her eyes were half-closed and she hugged herself as if cold.

"No, actually I was just resting, with jet
lag and everything."

"I hate to impose," he adlibbed, "but I
thought you might be able to work on me tonight."

She thought for a minute. "All right, Ram.
Just go to my room in there, and I'll just put on some coffee so I
can wake up a bit."

He smiled, and went to her room. Stripping
off his clothes, he waited for her, face down on the bed.

Jace puttered in the kitchen, making herself
coffee with the one-cup coffeemaker. Sipping, she thought about him
in her house. He looked so handsome, dressed casually in a white
shirt with tan khaki pants. And how she loved his aftershave and
its subtle heady scent. She sighed and headed for her room.

The sight of him in the nude, his firm,
muscular body, set her off right away. Hesitantly, she sat next to
him. His arms were up under the pillow, so she reached and pulled
them down to work on them.

Beginning at his neck, she massaged his tight
muscles, his upper back, his arms, and hands. As she went lower,
she heard him moan softly, as her hands worked their magic. Lower
still, she worked on his buttocks, then his thighs.

But, suddenly, he turned over. "Now the front
massage," he laughed, and she could see his hardness pulsing.
Pulling her to him, he rolled her over so he was on top. "Why do
you have clothes on?" he demanded.

"I didn't think you wanted me in your life,"
she said softly, as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Don't you ever think that, sweet baby, ever.
You hear Ram?"

She nodded.

Pulling up her top, he ran his hand over both
her breasts, before running his tongue over the nipples, sucking,
playing. She held the back of his head now, and arched her
back.

But when he went to pull her sweat pants
down, he realized she wasn't wearing underwear again, and he
grinned down at her. "Take it off. I'll wait."

She shucked off her sweats, before he kissed
her hard, his hand still roving over her body. "Sweet baby, you
ready for Ram?" he whispered against her lips.

"Yes," she gasped as his lips rolled down her
front slowly, then between her legs, while he lifted her hips. His
fingers roved in and out, while his tongue flitted on her bud.

Jace gasped at the sensations he created
within her, and felt herself pulsing against the wandering fingers,
as her orgasm shook her hard.

Pulling himself up, his turquoise eyes
appraised her. "You sure you're ready for me, sweet thing?" he
whispered lightly, while his fingers still moved within her.

Trying to guide him, she just released her
breath in a long gasp.

Gently entering her, he moved slowly,
agonizingly slowly, and Jace arched up to meet him, trying to
increase the rhythm.

He laughed softly. "Jace, tell me you love
me," he urged, while he still moved very slowly.

"I love you, Ram," she said.

Pushing himself hard against her, he thrusts
increased, as he kissed her neck, up to her cheek, where he
whispered "Jace…sweet baby, love me now, love me, Jace…"

His hand came on her bud, rubbing gently,
until she shook again.

"Ram, stay with me, don't leave me," she
whispered, half frantic with desire, "stay with me, please."

She heard him moan as their tempo increased,
while he pushed up to rest on his elbows, thrusting, harder and
harder, while she pulsed and cried out.

He whispered against her cheek, "Sweet baby,
sweet…" before he thrust his hardest against her body, making her
cry out again.

When they were both spent, and she lay in his
arms, he said, "Marry me, Jace. Make me the happiest man on the
planet."

He continued, "I want us to have a ranch,
with horses and dogs and maybe children. We never talked about
that."

"I like children," she said softly.

"Will you?" he asked while he held her
tight.

"Yes, Ram. I'll marry you. And I want to have
your children. Do you have names picked out yet?"

He laughed. "No, that's a mutual decision.
Not like in the boardroom, where I'm boss."

Running her hand down his chest, she said,
"You can boss me anytime, Ram."

"Well, sweet thing, you're just giving me all
kinds of ideas now. You just lay back while Ram makes you feel
good."

So, she did.

Epilogue

Victoria was still furious at Marley. But, as
she sat in her living room facing him, her face was placid.

"Did you have a good flight home?" he asked
her politely, as he leaned against the fireplace with one hand, as
the other hand held a drink she'd fixed for him.

"I suppose so. What's a good flight I wonder?
They jam you in like so many sardines, wait on you whenever they
feel like it then serve marginal drinks and champagne. Really, I
would prefer to have my own jet."

He just smiled. Since speaking with Jace, and
ignoring Victoria's every demand, he felt so good, he'd spoken to
and reconciled with his father. And, he was looking forward to
helping him with the family businesses. In a new corporate jet,
flying all over the world. But he hadn't told Victoria yet. She was
still a work in progress, he thought, as he gazed at her.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she
snapped.

"Just horny I guess."

"Really, Marley. Must you be so crude?"

He laughed. "It's not like we haven't seen
each other nude, or should I say, in the buff?"

She fanned herself with a napkin. "I don't
know what's gotten into you lately. You are not like yourself at
all."

He just smiled and continued staring at her.
"You know," he said finally, "I think you could really have some
orgasms if you'd let go a bit."

Shocked, she stood. "I think you'd better
go."

But he stayed the course. "No, I think I'll
stay, thank you. Let's go to the bedroom."

"I think not," she said haughtily.

"Don't shake your head like that at me, Vic.
It just makes me hornier."

A subtle change flitted across her face. "As
I said, please go."

"And if I don't?" He grinned at her now.

"I'll call the police."

"You wouldn't dare."

"Just try me."

"Come over here, Vic."

"For what?" she asked suspiciously.

"For love. Christ, I have put up with more
from you than any woman I've ever had the privilege to know. I've
loved you from grade school, through high school, then chasing you
between marriages, until I thought I'd go crazy."

She just looked at him, with her mouth open.
Then, she shut it with a 'pop' noise.

"Now," he repeated, "let's go in your bedroom
and see what we can do to spice things up a bit. I never wanted to
upset you, but now I don't care. I'll upset you a great deal. All
the time. What say you, Vic? Are you up to it?"

She just smiled, and led the way.

Natalie went to work a few days later, after
a wonderful time with Warren in Nassau. She missed him already, and
sighed as she spotted all the mail on her desk she'd have to go
through.

Her cell phone rang.

"What?" she said into the phone, not even
looking to see who was calling.

"Nat," he said, "what's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm just crabby. I don't want to be
at work, I just want to frolic in the water and drink mimosas."

He laughed. "Our version of nirvana. If you
did it all the time, it wouldn't be fun."

"Says you."

"I love your body. I want you right now," he
said, as his tone grew softer.

"Now you're going to get me hot so I can't
concentrate." But she loved the way her body reacted to his voice.
"Come over here and slam dunk me so I can get it out of my
system."

He laughed hard at that. "How about tonight?
My place? You can see a true disaster. It looks like a bomb hit the
place."

"I don't care about the place. What do you
look like right now? Where are you?"

"I'm at work. I'm wearing a navy three piece
suit, white shirt, navy and black print tie, black shoes, and I'm
freshly shaven and wearing aftershave. Got the picture?"

"Come to mama. Yeah, I get the picture. Hate
to say what I'd do if I was there with you."

"You can undress me tonight," he told her
softly, "I'd love it. Oh, by the way…"

"What? You have a roommate?"

He burst out laughing. "Not a one. No, I just
wanted to get around to the subject for my call."

"What?"

"I'm in love with you, Nat."

Her breath came out in a sigh. She couldn't
think of a snappy retort to that.

"Think about it," he said, "and I'll pick you
up around six."

She smiled, as he hung up without a good-bye.
"Yeah," she said aloud, "I love you too, Warren. Lots and
lots."

A week later, Jace looked around a huge ranch
house as Ram drove her up to the entrance. "Wow," she said, as they
went in the front door, then from room to room, from the sitting
room, dining room, six bedrooms, library, huge kitchen, and onto
the back porch to the swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Horses roamed the
paddock, flipping their tails at the intrusion.

She looked up at Ram. "It's just beautiful,"
she said, as her face glowed with happiness.

"Let me see it again," he said gently, as he
took her left hand in his. The huge, multi-carat diamond winked at
him from her ring finger. "This means you're mine, right?"

She laughed. "Forever and a day. You'll
probably be sick of me eventually and send me packing."

Pulling her close, he said, "Never. I would
never be tired of you. Just love me back, that's all I ask."

They were married a week after, in a small
ceremony, with Nat and Warren in attendance along with a few close
friends. And, Jace thought of how far they'd come since their first
meeting, as Ram smiled down at her. They'd fought against their
fears, the old ones, and replaced them with love and trust.

"Just for you," she said softly, before they
kissed.
