Saving Micah (Sequel to Conquering Jude) (4 page)

“They’ve arrived, Mistress. Can we go back to the house now?”

A sharp slap to the back of his head made him wince as she leaned over the seat to stare out the window. “That’s her – the skank who thinks she’s going to claim him? Look at her. She’s an old broad.”

Leland was looking, and holding his tongue. There was no way in hell he’d tell his Mistress how hot the woman looked, old or not. It was all in the way she carried herself. The sensual walk as she paced back and forth in front of the door made his dick hard. He could easily imagine her pacing around his bound body with a crop slapping the outside of her leather thigh-high boots. It was a sound that drove him insane with lust.

He grunted in sudden pain as the cruel crushing grip of his Mistress’s palm wrapped around his cock and balls. “Fantasizing again, Leland?” Her hiss in his ear sent spikes of desire to his trapped manhood.

“Yes, Mistress.” It was all he could do to get the answer out as the pleasure of her touch bordered on true agony.

“Watch her – see how she touches the other man? The soft touch, the way she stares up at him? She’s dick whipped. How can you want a Domme like her? One who’ll let her slaves take off for parts unknown without a protest. If you ever tried a stunt like Little Boy’s, I’d have dragged you back by your nut sack.” She bit his earlobe.

He gritted his teeth as the pain streaked from his ear to his dick making it throb harder against his uniform pants. “I know but I’d love to bend her over and fuck her ass like I did Little Boy’s…without lube so she’s really dick whipped.”

“Oh I love it, Leland.” Her tongue traced over his abused ear. “In fact, I want you take me back to the house and fuck me while you tell me all of your dirty little plans for her.” Her hand loosened and she rubbed over him provocatively. “And if you’re a really good boy, I might just let you do it before we take her out once and for all.”

He groaned and reached for the key in the ignition. The starter squealed in protest when he held it a bit too long. As he fish-tailed it out of the hospital lot, a startled curse came from the backseat as he threw his mistress across the car.

“If you get another speeding ticket, jackass, all bets are off and there’ll be no pussy for you tonight.” She cursed fluently from behind him.

Gritting his teeth he eased his foot off the accelerator. He knew the evil conniving bitch would make good on her threat, and he was too horny right now to not obey.

Looking over her shoulder at the squeal of tires, Olivia watched as a luxury car peeled out of the parking lot, jumped the curb and nearly hit a hydrant before it sped down the street.

“That asshole is gonna get someone killed,” Jude commented from beside her. Hearing the squawk from her phone, she lifted it back up to her ear.

“Yes, Caelan, I’m paying attention to you and no, I don’t need you to come down here. Jude and I are more than capable of dealing with one stubborn injured sub. He’s gonna come home with me whether he likes it or not.” The beep of call-waiting in her ear interrupted whatever bitching her brother was trying to do. Pulling it back, she glanced at the screen. She didn’t recognize the number but it was a local one. “Look, brother of mine, I don’t have time to listen to you whine about this. You and Nisey just returned from Ireland less than two weeks ago. You need to take some down time, catch up on your business. If we need you, I’ll call-I promise. Now I have another call. Talk to you later.” She hung up to his sputtering and retrieved the second call.

“Hello?”

“Ms. Mejtka?” a feminine voice inquired.

“This is she.” Olivia moved towards the door, without looking to see if Jude was following her. She knew he would be. Her sub was very protective of her.

“My name is Emily Stark. I’m the charge nurse at Tulane Medical Center. I got your number from one of my second shift nurses, Amanda. I was told you met her yesterday when you visited your fiancé.”

Surprise filled her. “Yes, I remember giving my number to Amanda, Ms. Stark. What can I help you with?” As she went to open the door, Jude’s arm snuck around her to pull it open. He was always such a gentleman about such things. She gave him a smile as she passed through the door. As she expected he continued to hold it for the elderly couple who had arrived right behind them.

A deep sigh filtered through the phone. “There’s been another attack on your fiancé, and Amanda suggested I contact you when we realized there was no emergency contact information on Mr. Beaumont’s medical forms. Highly unusual as that is, it isn’t why I’m calling you. Unfortunately an issue has arisen with Mr. Beaumont’s medical care.”

There was a pause and Olivia heard the sound of a voice questioning the nurse before the woman’s muffled reply about being on the phone with who she assumed was Micah’s emergency contact. As the bitching continued, Olivia was glad the woman had put her hand over the phone. Otherwise she’d have strangled the woman. After several minutes of it though, her patience snapped.

“Nurse Stark?” Cold steel threaded her tone as her inner Domme showed itself. “Please kindly tell me what the hell happened to my fiancé.”

There was another brief pause. “I’m sorry, Ms. Mejtka. There’s no reason to curse at me. I … we think he’ll be fine but he’s still unconscious. They’re moving him to another room for security reasons. Just a moment, the doctor wants to tell me something.”

Olivia was ready to wring the woman’s neck. “Dammit!” She put her hand on Jude’s arm catching his attention as the elderly couple passed her. Seeing the concern in his dark eyes, she covered the mouth piece. “Something happened with Micah this morning. Evidently the
tupoys
who attacked him returned. The hospital is moving him. Do you think you can find out anything from security? For some reason I have feeling they didn’t catch his attackers.”

He nodded. “Of course, sweetheart,” he replied, using the endearment they used in public only. Pressing a quick kiss to the top of her head, he moved away. “Just text me with his new room number when you find out, or if
you
need me. I’ll see what I can find out. Perhaps the police are here – I’ll go snooping.”

As a security consultant, she didn’t know what courtesy the hospital security would give him, but it couldn’t hurt to ask.
And if they’re stubborn about it, my pet is a whiz with computers and probably will have no issue hacking into the hospital’s computers.

“Thank you, pet.” She watched him stride towards the visitor’s desk, unable to help her enjoyment at watching the languid flexing of his superb ass.
But now’s not the time to be remembering how deliciously it reddened for me this morning.

“Ms. Metjka? Sorry about that.” Nurse Stark’s voice returning to the phone drew her gaze away from her sub’s ass.

“Not a problem, Ms. Stark. Either tell me what happened or give me his new room number so I can find out myself. I’m assuming guest services won’t have it.”

“No they won’t. As far as what happened, we don’t know. Your fiancé just regained consciousness. He seems to be reacting to stimulus fine but he may not be able to talk for a while. We think one of his attackers tried to choke him. We’re not sure exactly how they got in to attack him but the room was in a shambles when we arrived. I hope you realize his insurance isn’t going to cover this. Someone is gonna have to pay for the damage to the bed and broken mirror…” Her voice faded away as the same masculine voice who Olivia assumed was the doctor spoke again. Olivia heard her suggesting that they give Micah some paper so he could write down what happened.

Rage had her normal control falling to the wayside. The gall of the woman was unbelievable. “Ms Stark, either you give me the damn room number or I’m going flay your ass alive. I’ll pay for the damages but I want the room number now!”

“Ah…let me check. There’s no reason for you to talk to me that way, Ms. Mejtka. It’s not as if you’re here at the hospital.”

Olivia lost her patience with the suddenly hostile nurse. “For your information, I’m already at the hospital, Ms. Stark, and am about to report you to hospital board. This is ridiculous; I’m standing in the emergency room lobby waiting for a simple room number. Instead all you want to do is argue with me. I imagine the board would love to know why you’re being so reluctant to give the fiancé of one of your patients his room number – especially after bringing up the fact you’re expecting repayment for damages which are not even his fault?”

“Room 302.” There was a click in her ear.

“Unbelievable! The bitch just hung up on me!” Pocketing the phone, she headed to the bank of elevators fuming.

Standing at the security desk, Jude put on his friendliest face. He had to get this information for Olivia.

“Hi.” His voice had the uniformed man’s head popping up from behind a sports magazine.

“Can I help you?”

“I’m hoping so.” He leaned against the counter. “My name is Jude Larson. I have a…friend who was admitted to your hospital the yesterday after being attacked. He was left in a heap in at the emergency room doors….”

The man’s face lit up. “I heard about that from Lenard, one of our third shift guys. I’m sorry to hear about your friend. He was real tore up from what I heard.” The man shook his head. “It’s unbelievable the things people will do to each other, all in the name of sex.”

Surprise filled Jude. “How did you know it had anything to do with sex?”

The guy leaned forward before looking around. “Rumor has it that he came in wearing a gimp mask and nothing more than a pair of leather shorts. I mean I know its February and warm here but it’s not that damned warm. One of the girls from the lab said she’d overheard the police say they thought he was probably part of a BDSM scene gone bad. Not surprising considering I heard they had to cut the metal cuffs off the guy before they could work on him.”

“So you automatically assume it he willingly allowed someone to abuse him in such a manner?”

The guard flushed. “Well…”

“Let me explain something to you…” Jude scanned the tag on the man’s chest. “…Jeremiah. Those who participate in the scene may use the same implements, but they’d never,…” he leaned over the desk. “and I mean never drop a sub off at the emergency room like a piece of common trash. His Master would’ve come in if emergency care was needed beyond what a club would offer.”

Jeramiah’s eyes widened and he held up his hands. “Hey man, I’m sorry I didn’t mean any offense. I hope your friend recovers.”

“Excuse me, but what the hell is going on here?” a vaguely familiar voice asked from behind Jude. Turning, he took in the security officer standing in the door behind him. He looked familiar but …

“Nothing, boss. Just a guy asking about the man who was dropped at the emergency doors yesterday morning. I was just telling him…”

Jude assumed the guy was the head of security by the way Jeremiah was stumbling over his words and trying to backtrack. There was something familiar about the man but he couldn’t place it.

“Gossiping again, Richland? What have I told you about that?” As Jeremiah apologized again, the man drew a sharp hand across his throat. “Enough. I swear you’re as useless as a pair of tits on a boar hog. Go see Kathy. Tell her I said you’re on K.P. duty and to send Michaels to cover the desk.”

“But, Boss…” The man’s eyes pleaded.

“You want to go for two weeks?”

Jeremiah scrambled backwards, the casters on his chair squeaking alarmingly as he threw himself from the chair. Jude watched in amusement as the man fled like the hounds of hell were on him.

“Interesting. I didn’t realize you could punish civilians with K.P. duty.” He turned around to see the door of the security room slam shut behind Jeremiah.

“You can when you’re the boss and know the guys hate escorting all the vendors in and out of the hospital. They usually get drafted into helping carry the merchandise – rain or shine. And since it’s raining, Mr. Motormouth is gonna get soaked.”

The unrepentant glee in the man’s eyes finally jogged Jude’s memory. He’s seen the look before.
WhiteHawk…holy shit how long has been since I’ve seen his mug? Three – no four years? Damn he’s changed.
“How the hell are you, Ethan?”

“Doing just dandy – what the hell brings you down this way? Last I heard you were up north with your little girl. Read any good books from this century yet, Dickens?”

Jude couldn’t help but laugh at the moniker he’d earned in his unit. “Are you ever gonna let it go? I can’t help but love Charles Dickens…not the
Black Ops
and
Mountain Man
crap you read. Didn’t you get enough of that blood thirsty shit in the Rangers?”

Ethan smiled. “Hell no! Gotta have something to keep me sharp.”

Chapter Four

“Damn man, it’s good to see you.” Sitting in the cafeteria with Ethan, Jude reached for the soda in front of him. His friend had invited him to share an early lunch with him. After texting Olivia he’d agreed, hoping his friend would help him.
