Seduced by the Storm (47 page)

Tears
stung her eyes. "Oh, Wyatt. Are you saying you understand now?"

He
nodded. "I’d do anything for you. So yeah, I get it." He tugged her
against him, pressed his forehead to hers. "I’m ready to heal. I’m ready
to love you and let you love me. What do you say?"

"I
say we find someplace a lot more private than this, love. Because if I show you
right now how much I love you, everyone in the building is going to know about
it."

A low
growl rumbled up in his chest. "They’re going to know about it anyway.
You’re mine, Faith. You have been since the beginning. My woman."

"Yes,"
she whispered. "Your woman."

Epilogue

"Are
you ready for a drink, love?" Faith asked, as she opened Wyatt’s kitchen
cabinet.

"Almost,"
he muttered, but he wasn’t talking about the drink. He was sitting at the
dining room table, staring at her as he tried to break through her aura. After
four months he was getting better at it, faster, but as the clock ticked down
to twenty minutes, she didn’t think he was going to beat his twenty-two-minute
record. Not unless he weakened her with his sex mojo.

Now
that he’d learned to control the biokinesis, he’d learned to control the sexual
portion of his ability—which they now knew caused an aura to practically
collapse. He could initiate the sex mojo and penetrate an aura with his gift in
a matter of seconds. He was actually faster than she was if he cheated like
that.

He
penetrated with a whoop of victory. Twenty minutes, forty seconds.

"See
that, honey? I’ll be caught up to you in no time."

She
snorted. And then gasped as a tingly sensation spread through her groin.

"Yeah,"
he said softly, "teach you to laugh at me."

Erotic,
invisible strokes lashed at her sex. "Making me come isn’t—oh, God."
She groaned. The glass in her hand fell into the sink with a crash. She didn’t
care. It was all she could do to grasp the edge of the counter and stay
upright.

"This
is payback for the other day. Remember?"

She’d
have smiled, but she was too busy biting her lip. And yes, she remembered.
Wyatt had come out of the bedroom, dressed to kill—literally—in his black ACRO
BDUs, and she’d pinned him to the wall with her gift, stripped him with her
hands, and then sat on the couch with popcorn to watch as she made him come
without lifting a finger. For fun, she’d pinched off his urethra so he couldn’t
ejaculate during his orgasm.

Wyatt’s
chest had heaved like he’d run a marathon, his jaw clenched, his eyes went
wild. And he’d still been hard, his engorged cock the color of his
bite-reddened lips. A few strokes with her biokinesis had made him come again,
this time so forcefully that he broke her hold as his body convulsed and his
semen erupted like a geyser.

He’d
only been a little mad that she’d made him late for work.

"You
remember," he said, and damn him, she could hear the amusement in his
voice as he filled her core with stimulation and made her cry out in release.

She
slumped against the counter, cursing him. The man was a quick study. He was
quick in his movements too; she didn’t hear him come up behind her and pull her
back against his chest.

"Want
to go with me?" He was going to visit an operative who had recently given
birth to triplets. He’d been looking forward to it for days.

"I
can’t. I need to call Paula today." Faith had remained in New York with
ACRO and Wyatt, but once a month she flew back to England to handle TAG
business, and as long as she spoke with Paula regularly, she was able to keep
up with operations. Right now, the distance was working, especially since
relations between Faith and Paula were still strained.

He
turned her to him so she could look into his eyes. "You sure you don’t
want to go see the babies?"

"I’m
sure. You go."

Framing
her face in his hands with the same care he’d given her since the night they
met, he kissed her. Gently, slowly, lovingly. She melted against him the way
she always did, but he pulled back, his slumberous gaze full of affection.

"Marry
me."

Warmth
surrounded her like a summer breeze. She wasn’t sure if she was imagining
things or Wyatt was using one of his gifts, but it didn’t matter. She was
grateful for it.

Grateful
for him and all he’d done for her. He’d given her a second chance, and she’d
move heaven and earth to make sure he’d never have to give her a third.

"Yes,"
she whispered. "I’ll marry you."

He
kissed her again, this time in a possessive, claiming caress. One hand came up
to cup her breast, while the other threaded through her hair to hold her to
him. Her libido spun up again, and when his erection made itself known against
her belly, she knew his had too.

"I
thought you were going to see the babies," she moaned, as he kissed a hot
path along her jaw and down her throat.

An
erotic purr rumbled his chest. "I’m thinking maybe we could make our
own."

"Oh,
love." She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him as close as she could.
"I can’t wait."

"Neither
can I." He effortlessly swung her up into his arms and headed toward the bedroom.

When
it came to Wyatt, she couldn’t wait for anything.

Before
Wyatt came along, she’d believed her life was full. Nothing could have been
further from the truth. And as he laid her down on their king-sized bed, his
eyes promised a life more full than she could imagine. Full of excitement, love
and children.

Yeah,
she definitely couldn’t wait.
