Sister Katherine (21 page)

Simdow crouched overhead, aiding her attentions on his larger cock by pushing into her hand while he watched her give and take pleasure.  His muscles stood out in corded relief, showing his tension matched hers.  A fine trembling had taken his body over, and he gasped.  One hand covered hers, making her hold him tighter and work him faster.

“Katherine,” he groaned.  “My Matara.  My—”

He suddenly froze, his entire body going as stiff as the member she held in her hand.  Simdow shuddered, pumped twice more, and shouted.  His mouth opened wide, and Katherine saw a pair of long, thin fangs appear behind his normal ones.

A hot stream sprang from Simdow’s sex.  Miv moved back just in time to avoid the thick ribbon of seed.  It splattered Katherine’s breasts, her throat, her chin.  Her mouth, open as she moaned her own excitement, captured a few drops.  Salty-sweet spice exploded on her tongue, and she had just an instant to think,
He’s in my mouth, his seed is in my mouth
, before Vadef rubbed her clitoris and orgasm seized her too.

Katherine bucked violently beneath the men, her screams rising high and strangling.  Starburst climax tore from her, the coiled band of want frayed and loosened at last.  She was dimly aware of Miv’s desire spurting across her heaving belly, of his wild cries joining hers and Simdow’s.  It was as if a maelstrom of ecstasy had descended on them all, sweeping them into a churning abyss of fantastical demolition.

Burning.  Exploding.  Destruction.  Obliteration.  Devastation.  And yet for all the annihilation she felt, Katherine felt it somehow made her whole rather than tearing her asunder.  She flew back together again and again, each time more complete than the last.

Finally the pulses slowed and ebbed.  Katherine slowly became aware of the men lying around her, like scattered debris upon the bed’s surface.  Even Vadef had found his sweet ruin at some point, leaving him sprawled between her legs, his gasping face pillowed on her thigh.  Every one of them was heavy-lidded, their slit-pupiled eyes glazed.

Miv recovered first.  With a groan that suggested herculean effort, he rolled off the bed.  Staggering to the bathroom, he returned after a few moments with cleansing wipes.  He began to gently clean Katherine’s body.

Simdow and Vadef stirred.  They took some of the wipes from their clanmate and also set about washing her off.  No one spoke, as if in fear of dashing aside the wonder they’d shared.

Katherine could still taste the few drops of Simdow’s spill that had landed in her mouth.  She wondered that something supposedly so profane seemed more profound.  Her body hummed with delight.  More than that, she had a sense of peace that even scourging had never granted.

What has just happened is supposed to be evil.  A mortal sin.  Yet I’ve never felt so serene or so easy in mind and body.

Katherine looked up at the men tending to her.  They all wore smiles as tranquil as she felt.  If their actions had been wicked, they had no idea of it.  Not when they looked so euphoric.

I can’t call this a sin.  We’ve shared something too powerful, too immense and beautiful for it to be so.  Or am I being fooled?  Is this how the devil operates?  By making evil so gorgeous that it can’t be cast aside?

She gazed at Simdow.  Then Vadef.  Then Miv.

No.  It can’t be.  There is nothing wicked here.  Nothing foul.  I don’t know what to call it, but it’s not wrong.  God please, it can’t be wrong.

Chapter 11

The next morning dawned with gentle kisses and caresses.  Katherine fought none of the touching.  Simdow and Vadef were due to work early shifts, so their attentions were kept to a realm that was almost innocent.  Still, Katherine noted how her body woke to even the most platonic of contact.

Simply being cradled in Simdow’s arms as Vadef and Miv fed her breakfast had her body hyper-aware of the clan.  Katherine refused to examine the feelings too closely.   It only led to confusion anyway.  She concentrated on emptying her thoughts, hoping epiphany would find her and illuminate her course.

After Simdow and Vadef left for work, Katherine rose and looked about, her brow furrowed.

“What is it?” Miv asked.  He sat on the edge of the bed, his gaze warm as he watched her walk about the small amount of space.

“My gown.  I don’t see it anywhere.”

“We sent it out to be cleaned after you fell asleep last night.  Your underclothing as well.  You will have to be naked until they are returned.”  He grinned like a naughty boy.  “Don’t worry.  I will remain nude as well, just to keep you company.”

Katherine found his mischief too endearing to be offensive.  Coating her tone in sarcasm, she told the Nobek, “You are too kind, Miv.”

He laughed and patted the bed next to him.  “Sit with me.”

Katherine thought about refusing.  But what point would that make?  She slept naked with the men.  She touched them and allowed them to touch her.  She was no longer even certain the sensual activities counted as a sin.  In the eyes of all who mattered, she was married to Simdow’s clan.

It startled Katherine to realize she no longer cared about the dictates of the Church.  The rift she beheld between it and God had widened into an unbridgeable chasm.  She did not believe God wanted her to be executed because she had lain with men.  However, that would be her fate if left to Earth’s leadership.  Unless she wished to die, she could never return to Earth.

She sat next to Miv, close enough that their bodies brushed against each other.  Warmth against warmth.  Alien and Earther.  Dark and light.

Miv stroked her hair and back.  His smile was content even though his cocks stirred a little, indicating his interest.  However, Katherine did not fear his sexual lusts.  He had shown he was master of them.  Her nudity and nearness would not make him lose control.

She was safe with the Nobek.

Katherine looked up into purple eyes, eyes slitted much like those of a cat’s.  “You don’t find me … odd?”

The line between his brows creased.  “Why would I think that?”

“All of your people are dark skinned with black hair.  I’m the complete opposite.  Our eyes are different.  I would think you wouldn’t consider anything else attractive.”

“I find our differences exotic.  You are so much like my people and yet not.”  He looked her over, and the approval was apparent.  Then Miv frowned.  “I do not like that you are too thin.  You are still beautiful, but you do not look well.”

“I had much more appetite than usual this morning.”

“You did.  You ate everything we gave you.  It felt good to see you do so.”

“It’s nice not having to deal with pain after I eat.  I certainly don’t anticipate being your size though.”

That made Miv laugh.  Katherine abruptly realized she had been tracing over the lines of the muscles on his thighs without even realizing it.  Startled by her brazen actions, she pulled back.

Miv caught her hand and placed it back on his leg.  “Don’t stop.  It feels good when you touch me.”

It felt good to her too.  She was fascinated with his body, the blatant masculinity of it.  Her finger moved over a chiseled trail.

With her beliefs turned on their heads, she sounded the Nobek out, searching for some direction.  “What happens when you sin?  I mean, what does your faith tell you will be the consequences of your bad actions?”

Miv thought for a moment.  “People hurt, of course.  If I kill a man, his life is over.  But it extends beyond that.  His family and friends also suffer.”

“What about that man you did kill?  Did you ever see his family?”

Miv nodded, his gaze going distant.  “I saw his parents.  He had never clanned, so there was no Dramok or Imdiko to face.”

“Were the parents angry with you?”

“Perhaps, though they said they weren’t.  They knew he was a predator.  They had warned authorities of his doings on other planets.  He’d gotten into a lot of trouble on places like Dantovon, Isetac, and others.  He was in outpatient therapy when he saw my sister and decided he would have her.”

Katherine watched his face closely.  “Does it bother you to have murdered someone?”

Miv’s brows lowered.  “I am a Nobek.  I live to protect those I care for.  I was not going to have this man alive somewhere, no matter how small the chance of his ever leaving prison.  My sister was not going to live her life in fear.  Other women would not be his victims.”

Katherine swallowed at the bald emotion in his face.  Miv didn’t have to say a word about how much he loved his sister.  It was in the fierce devotion.

She said, “Your sister is very lucky to have someone like you looking out for her.”

Miv looked away for a moment, though his fingers continued to trail through Katherine’s curls.  “My only regret was that I made my victim’s mother cry.  He was a waste of skin and did not deserve his life, but his mother loved him just the same.  Women are strong like that.”  He looked at Katherine again, and a smile ghosted over his features for an instant.  “You all amaze me.”

“Knowing he was loved by his mother, would you spare his life if you had to do it over again?”

Miv thought long and hard over that question.  Silence spun out for over a minute before he finally answered, “I don’t think so.  I still feel rage over what he did, over the pain he caused my sister.  I think I would only make his death more painful given another opportunity.”  He shrugged.  “He probably would have been executed for his crime anyway, so his mother would still have cried.  I am sorry if my answer disappoints you.”

It was Katherine’s turn to consider.  She wasn’t sure Miv’s need to kill his sister’s attacker had merit.  Yet she could understand how he felt.

She told him, “I appreciate that you’re honest and not telling me what you think I’d like to hear.”

She continued to touch him.  During their conversation, she had turned her body towards Miv’s, and her fingertips now skated over the broad plains of his chest.  He’d become fully erect, and his penises glistened.

“You are not angry?” he asked softly.  His eyes searched hers.

Katherine shook her head.  “Why should I judge you for loving your sister so much?  What has happened is between you and God.”

“If there is such.”  Miv’s voice came out hesitantly.

Katherine looked at him in surprise.  “You don’t think so?”

The Nobek shrugged.  “I don’t know.  The universe is so complicated and amazing that one has to wonder if it could come about naturally.  But I am not much for philosophy.  I have seen no proof of a higher entity.”

Despite her sadness that Miv had no faith in God, Katherine was curious.  She’d never met anyone who had admitted such.   “What do you believe will happen when you die?”

“I can’t even contemplate it.  I hope that I will meet those I cared for who have gone before me, and that those I leave behind will have many good things to say.”  He suddenly laughed.  “Unlike the universe, I am not that complicated.”

Katherine marveled at the Nobek.  In some respects his simplicity was like that of a young child.  Yet Miv was also thoughtful and intelligent.

She even envied his innocent acceptance that he didn’t have all the answers.  He truly seemed unaffected by not knowing what lay beyond the mortal realm.  He had his duty in life, which was to protect those he loved.  He seemed to require nothing more.  Miv did not have a religious belief, and it somehow made him one of the purest souls Katherine had ever encountered.

She was distracted from contemplating her companion when she noticed the pearl of liquid at the tip of his larger member.  Katherine had continued to touch his chest and abdomen as they spoke, and he was reacting strongly to it.  She thought of how Simdow’s seed had tasted the night before, and all thoughts of spiritual consideration fled.  As if in sympathetic union, her own sex moistened.

Katherine sighed in a mix of want and confusion.  “I’ve aroused you too much.  I shouldn’t have done that.”

Miv’s brows shot upward.  “Why?  I enjoy it.”

“You should be upset.  After all, I’m not ready to be your wife in truth, yet I’m making you feel like I should be.”  She covered her eyes with her hands.

Miv tugged at her wrists, making her lower her hands so he could look into her face.  “You are scared, but you grow more courageous all the time.  I am patient.  I believe you are worth waiting for, lovely Katherine.”

She felt as if she drowned in the adoring gaze he gave her.  Her heart pounded.  She wanted to kiss Miv.  She wanted to shelter in his arms.  She wanted him to lay her down, to lie on top of her, to commit that final act of belonging.  Most of all, Katherine wished Miv could convince her beyond all doubt that it was right for them to be together as man and woman.

She had reached her limit.  Perhaps she had lost her soul, but there was no denying what had to happen.  Miv’s assertion that he could wait had only shown Katherine she no longer could.

She rose up on one knee, bringing her lips to his.  The Nobek allowed her to kiss him, not grabbing at her and pulling her close, doing nothing at all except kissing her back with extreme care.  Emboldened by his passivity, Katherine pressed closer to him, letting her body mold to his.  When Miv still did nothing but stroke her hair and part his lips for her tongue, she dared even more.

Katherine straddled his thighs, kneeling right in front of him so that his heavy, wet cocks throbbed between their stomachs.  She slid her hands through his scalp, holding the back of his head steady, imprisoning it so she could deepen the kiss.  Her breasts flattened against the granite wall of his chest.  She felt his heart thunder against hers, the two organs pounding as if to break through their cages so they might join together.

Her sex ached for him to fill it.  Katherine knew Miv would not stop her from doing it.  He wanted her to.  He had given her all the control, letting her take them both where she would, allowing her to make the final decision.

Katherine moved closer.  The tips of Miv’s sexes slid through the wetness of hers.  The larger centered on her core, ready to take away that last barrier to their union.  The other went to the taboo opening, as if it was meant for there.  But no, that was not allowed.  She couldn’t take Miv there.  Could she?
