Stranger at the beach house (24 page)

“It doesn’t matter, Sam. I trust you,” I
whispered as his kisses intensified and he held me possessively.

“Come
on, Baby, let’s go home. I need to be alone with you,” he whispered.

I stood up as he wrapped his arm tightly
around me and we made our way into the drawing room together. “Give me a
minute,” he said as I hugged Carla.

“It was good to meet you,” I smiled, and I
meant it. She had been a ray of light in the evening’s events.

Harry
pulled me close. “Listen to your heart, Babe, and ignore everything else. Oh
and pass this on to Joy for me,” he said, kissing my cheek slightly longer than
necessary as I saw Sam out of the corner of my eye, toe to toe with Lucas. The
two were glaring at each other and speaking strong words in hushed tones. After
a few moments he turned towards me, walking back and placing his arm around my
shoulder, quietly thanking Sophia and Richard before we made our way outside
and into the waiting taxi.

We
were silent on the drive home. It had been quite a night, facing Sam’s friends
as an official couple and there had been far too many discomforting
revelations. All I wanted was the safety and security of his arms and to lose
myself in him. Everyone could have an opinion I mused, but nobody could
understand the intensity I felt when we were close. He held my hand and led me
into the elevator to the apartment. Neither of us had spoken.

In that enclosed space I felt the familiar
pull, the electricity between us and he moved quickly, pinning me against the
wall, eyes blazing into mine, stroking his strong hand under my skirt and
slipping his finger beneath the smooth lace tops of my black silk stockings.
“Don’t think I’ve forgotten about these,” he whispered. I couldn’t move,
couldn’t speak, just staring into his eyes. I felt emotionally battered and totally
overwhelmed. My brain was exhausted as images of Sam with Sarah, Sophia and
Cheryl invaded my thoughts, persistent and relentless. It wasn’t rational, it
wasn’t logical and I knew it was ancient history, but the punishing thoughts
just kept coming.

Lucas’s words whirled round in my head like a
cyclone. I didn’t want to talk, I didn’t want to think, I just needed to
feel.

The elevator doors slid open and
he held me protectively as we walked into the apartment and I made my way
silently into the bedroom, standing as he sat on the edge of the bed gazing up
at me, concern etched on every feature of his beautiful face. “Are you OK,
Baby?” he asked softly and all I could do was close my eyes, shaking my head
gently.

“What do you want?” he whispered as I gazed at
him and the only movement I made was to unzip my dress, letting it fall to a
pool on the floor as I stood there in my underwear, heels and stockings. He
gasped, drinking in my body with dangerous dark eyes as he stood. “What do you
need, Rose?” he asked again, his voice firm and deep.

“I need to forget about you being with
them,
” I said simply as his lips crashed
against me, his powerful body radiating lust and I responded with more
intensity than I had ever felt, slamming myself against him, grabbing and
clawing his back, pulling him deeper into me and tearing at his clothes as he
lifted me urgently onto the bed, discarding his trousers, socks and shoes
before I pulled him hard on top of me by his open shirt.

I
couldn’t wait any longer, couldn’t bear the physical separation. He grabbed my
legs, pulling me around him, stroking the smooth silk of my stockings with one
hand, the other fisting my hair and possessing my mouth completely. There was
no tenderness, just raw carnal need. I cried out as he grabbed my underwear,
tearing the thin silk fabric and ripping it from my body while I pulled off his
shirt, raking my hands down his back, nails digging hard into his skin. Without
pausing, he plunged his cock deep into my aching core, filling and stretching
me completely.

Our
sounds were primal, animalistic, driving me harder and faster into the abyss as
I met each thrusting force with desperate need. He pulled my breasts from my
bra roughly, cursing and sucking fiercely as I sank my teeth into his shoulder,
moaning with the powerful force that was dominating every fibre of my being.
The aggression and brutality in his thrusts served only to send me deeper and
deeper over the edge. Pain mixed with unimaginable pleasure and an intense
longing to feel every inch of this man as I cried out, muscles clenching and my
body shuddering around him as he continued to unleash his relentless sexual
force.

“Look
at me,” he urged as I responded, opening my eyes and grabbing his hair, my
mouth parting, panting as I lifted my head, pleading silently for a

desperate kiss. “I’m yours,” he growled
deeply, his tongue claiming my eager mouth as he continued his powerful
onslaught and I was lost, reeling in pleasure, every nerve in my body
electrified as he pulled back, eyes blazing into mine and we came apart
together, screaming and crying out, lost in each other and the ferocity of our
physical reactions. He rolled onto his side, pulling me hard against his solid
chest as we held each other closely, slick with sweat and our breathing ragged.
I felt secure, calm and all thoughts of Sophia, Cheryl and Sarah were gone. At
least for now, he had made me forget.

Chapter 20

I
was screaming as I woke, tears streaming down my face, visions of the dream I
had been ripped from running through my mind in flashback as I slowly began to
realise where I was and calm my harsh breathing. I was soaking, dripping in
sweat, alarmed at the dream and my extreme reaction to it. I thought I had
handled last night, coped with it, but my subconscious brain was telling me
differently. I was insecure, jealous and I had never felt this way before.
Daniel’s cheating had undoubtedly taken its toll on my confidence, but this was
another level altogether.

Stood
by the big white bed of the beach house, I watched silently as Sam writhed
naked beneath the sheets with Sarah, Cheryl and Sophia. He was gazing at me,
laughing, as Lucas watched me smugly from across the room. I was frozen, unable
to move and Alice was calling from somewhere in the distance, reaching out and
I couldn’t get to her, the sad voice growing dimmer and ever more distant. The
strong arms suddenly holding me and soothing me were the same ones that had
tormented my dreams.

Sssshhh
, Baby,” he
whispered as he stroked my hair, running comforting fingers down my spine and
kissing the top of my head tenderly as he pulled me into his body, tipping my
chin up to meet his gaze. “What is it?” he whispered, “bad dream?” and I
nodded, mesmerized by the beautiful blue eyes that had mocked me in my slumber.
“Tell me about it,” he said gently and I shook my head. It was hard enough that
I could still remember it. I certainly didn’t want to relive it by sharing it
with Sam.

“I
can probably guess,” he said sympathetically. It was just a stupid dream I
thought as he kissed me softly and I responded, dipping my tongue into his
mouth, stroking it around his, a low rumble of appreciation in his throat as I
felt his cock twitch and pulse, growing firm against my belly.

“I’m
yours, Rose”, he whispered tenderly as he rolled onto his back, muscular arms
pulling me on top of him as I sat up, spreading my stocking clad legs and
kneeling over him as I stroked his rigid cock, tracing every vein. He moaned
loudly as I sucked my finger, running the wetness over the beautiful ridge as
he cupped my backside easing me over him and teasing my swollen lips and clit
with his magnificent length. Even half asleep and ruffled he was jaw-
droppingly
sexy and I ached with desire to consume him, to
be consumed.

His
dark eyes pierced mine, flooded with lust as I moved to lower myself onto his
shaft. I gasped as he hit my womb, my sensitive clit pressing into him as I
rotated my hips slowly, spurred on as he groaned his approval. Sliding his
hands over the silk of my legs and tantalisingly slowly to my waist, he lifted
me and I begin my delicious descent again and again, relishing the pleasure
lighting my core as he filled every inch of me. I increased the speed as he
bucked his hips to meet me, slamming against my sensitive bud with each
almighty thrust as I moaned his name.

Pulling
me closer, he lifted his head to take each soft breast and hard erect nipple to
his mouth in turn as I rode his cock harder and deeper. “You are so beautiful
my precious Rose and all mine,” he said seductively and his words were my
undoing. Wave after wave of pleasure overtook me and I was overwhelmed by the
sheer force of my orgasm, tuned out to everything but the stunning man beneath
me, his cock growing slicker from my satisfaction as he sat up to kiss me,
absorbing my cries in his full soft mouth.

He
moved, pushing me gently onto my back and still inside me, possessing me with
his pounding cock and urgent tongue as he gripped me tightly, our slick bodies
pressed in a bond of togetherness, lost in the growing pleasure of the moment
as I started to unravel again. “Trust me, Baby,” he groaned in a low velvet
voice as he pumped his hot liquid inside me and I shuddered uncontrollably
beneath him.

Pulling
himself slowly out of me, he moved a trail of butterfly kisses down my navel,
and down to my thighs, running his finger under the tops of my stockings,
unclasping the suspenders on each leg at the front and then the back, kissing
my belly and looking up to smile at me as he unclipped the belt behind my waist,
discarding it on the floor. Running his hand over the smooth silk of my right
leg, he gently rolled and removed the stocking before doing the same on my left
leg; kissing his way back up my body and placing a firm kiss on my mouth.

“I like you in those. But perhaps a little too
much,” he frowned, cupping my right breast as I looked down to see a vivid red
love bite under my nipple. Christ, when had he done that? I hadn’t even felt
it, and as I looked at him closely I noticed for the first time, the faint
trace of a bite mark on his shoulder.

“You too,” I smiled at him softly, tracing my
fingers gently across the red mark as he pulled me into him.

“Last night was pretty intense,” he said and I
nodded, recalling the rawness and heat of the most animalistic sex I had ever
had. I had never needed anyone so much.

“I’ll
be back in a minute, Baby,” he smiled, standing and turning towards the
bathroom and I gasped loudly, my hands covering my face in shock as I saw his
back in the dim light. It was covered in dozens of marks and angry red
scratches where I had clawed at his skin uncontrollably. What the hell had I
done? He turned, a frown marring his brow as my eyes filled again.

“I’m so sorry, Sam,” I stuttered, my voice
shaky as plump tears traced their path down my face.

“What
is it, what’s the matter?” he demanded as he strode back, grabbing my head
firmly in strong hands. “Talk to me, Rose,” he urged.

“It’s your back,” I muttered between my sobs
looking down as he forced my head up to look at him.

“Last night you were hurt, confused and angry
with me. But you needed me, Rose. It’s OK, Sweetheart,” he smiled. But it
wasn’t. I seriously had to sort my head out, his strong perfect back was
littered with the marks of my jealousy, my pain, my desperate need and I felt
utterly ashamed, flinching at the damage I’d inflicted as he walked away.

“Come
on,” he called as I put on his shirt and pulled it around me, making my way
into the huge bathroom. Buttons were missing and some of the buttonholes had
been ripped wide apart where I had tried to tear it from him. Oh Jesus.

“I owe you a shirt,” I smiled sheepishly as I
climbed in the bath to join him in the bubbles.

“And
I owe you a very sexy silk thong, so it looks like I’ll have to book my
personal shopper for another trip. Remind me to tell her to go wild in the
underwear department,” he laughed, and I giggled softly as he pulled me into
his chest, wrapping his legs around me and dipping his head to land exquisite
kisses behind my ear that made my whole body shiver.

“How wild?”
I breathed, heady in the proximity of his body
and the soothing water lapping against my tender skin.

“As wild as it gets,” he purred, grazing his
teeth against my ear, thoughts of wildness pulling me back to the angry marks
on his damaged skin.

“Does it hurt?” I asked softly.

“No,”
he said firmly. “Please, Rose, its fine and for the record I thought last night
was incredible. I may have to piss you off again,” he grinned as I slapped his
leg playfully, splashing water on the marble tiled floor.

“There’s
some people I’d like you to meet today,” he said as I turned my head, my frown
meeting twinkling eyes. I really wasn’t up for socialising with any more exes,
fuck buddies, friends with benefits or however he wanted to describe them.
“I’ve got a meeting this morning but I said we’d go for lunch and then we can
come back and have a quiet night in,” he winked.

“Can’t we just stay here, Sam?” I pleaded.

“We could, but my mother would be awfully
disappointed, Rose, she can’t wait to meet you,” he said as my eyes shot wide
open in shock. What? I was meeting his parents.
Holy Shit.
Meeting the parents was a huge deal. From what I’d heard, it took weeks,
months, even years to get to this stage. I wouldn’t know because I’d never met
any, which said it all. I was stunned into silence, my brain was terrified and
my heart was singing and dancing and flipping all over my chest as he chuckled
behind me.

I
flicked through the TV channels, relaxing on the couch as he met with one of
his lawyers in his home office across the hall. The door was closed and I heard
raised voices a couple of times, but I couldn’t pick up any of the conversation
and I gave up trying. Sarah was on the fashion channel, modelling in a vogue
catwalk show. She might be a cow but there was no denying she was stunning.

She was modelling swimwear and I didn’t wonder
she hadn’t eaten her lamb, with almost every inch of her body on show for the
world to see. I was mesmerised just watching her, an incomparable beauty and I
couldn’t understand how Sam wanted me after being with her. I was so engrossed
I didn’t even hear him come in, as he took the remote control from me and
flicked the TV off. If he’d seen her he didn’t say anything and I didn’t
either, resting my head against his chest and sighing gently.

“You’d
better get dressed gorgeous, we’ll be setting off in twenty minutes,” he said.
I’d showered and washed my hair, but had otherwise made myself at home in one
of his oversized T-shirts.

“I’m going like this,” I grinned as he
chuckled gently.

“OK, you look great,” he smiled and I couldn’t
help but laugh.

Eventually
I picked a smart casual outfit, jeans and a new cashmere sweater from
yesterdays splurge and heels for the drive to Surrey. I had changed my outfit
several times in an effort to impress and Sam had come into the bedroom
impatiently to see what was taking me so long. “You’ll look beautiful whatever
you wear,” he laughed, spotting the clothes strewn across the bedroom. “Stop
fretting, Rose it’s just a relaxed lunch,” he said, kissing my hand and leading
me out of the apartment.

I
loved riding in the Vanquish, it was pure luxury, and I couldn’t help gazing at
the confident man beside me, poised and self controlled as he weaved his way
through the mid day traffic and utterly desirable. He turned to me, stroking my
leg as he drove. “You’re very quiet, Rose, are you nervous?” he smiled as I
nodded. “They won’t bite,” he grinned as I turned to him frowning.

“That’s what you said last night, Sam,” I replied,
no less worried, and his mouth set in a grim line. I couldn’t help but giggle.

“Watch
yourself,” he turned, piercing me with stunning blue eyes “or I might just stop
this car and take you over my knee,” he said firmly. My body shivered
deliciously at the thought, the involuntary reaction putting the smile firmly
back on his face as he quirked an eyebrow at me. I knew that face and I rather
hoped he might be saving that little treat for later, flushing and turning away
to disguise my errant thoughts.

My phone beeped as we reached
the house, it was Lizzie;

Really looking
forward to seeing you tomorrow.

I’m a bit nervous about my freelance debut .x

I text my
reply.

You’re nervous? I’m just about to meet the
parents. Can’t wait to see you too x

Her response made me smile.

Good luck with that. If I were you I’d run
now

x

“Who
is it?” asked Sam.

“It’s Lizzie. I just told her I’m about to
meet the parents,” I laughed.

“And what did she say to that?” he turned to
kiss me and I showed him the text.

“Let’s go then, before you change your mind,”
he smiled as we got out of the car. He held my hand as we walked across the
gravel drive and he opened the door to let himself in, turning to kiss my
forehead. “Relax,” he whispered, as an elegant lady with a short chestnut bob
strode down the hallway to greet us.

“Sam, Darling,” she smiled, holding him
tightly as she kissed both cheeks. “And you must be Rose,” she said, standing
back to look at me before holding my shoulders and kissing me too, her smile
bright and warm blue eyes twinkling.

“Hi,
Mum,” said Sam, gripping my hand as we followed his mother into the kitchen.
“Where’s Dad?” he asked, looking around as his mother gestured to the window.
“Where do you think?” she laughed as she opened the door, shouting out into the
large and beautifully kept garden.

“Ernie, Sam’s here,” she called, gesturing for
us to sit.

“What
would you like to drink, a cup of tea or something stronger?” she asked
brightly as I took a seat at the kitchen table.

“Tea would be great thanks,” Sam smiled as I
nodded my agreement.

“Sam, my boy,” his dad bounded in from the
garden, discarding his wellingtons by the door, leaving a pool of mud on the
gleaming granite, removing green gardening gloves and slapping Sam hard on the
back. “And you must be Rose. I’m delighted to meet you, my Dear,” he said as I
stiffened, bracing myself for a slapping, and relaxing when he raised my hand
to kiss it in a sweet old fashioned gesture.
