The Blue Ridge Project: A Dark Suspense Novel (The Project Book 1) (22 page)

A Note For The Reader

Dear Reader,

Firstly, I want to welcome you to the end of the book. I could give you a line about “I hope you had as much fun reading it as I did writing it” or something like that, but it's been done a thousand times. So I'll just say thank you for reading, and if you made it this far you must have gotten some enjoyment out of it, right?

It took a lot longer than I expected to get this finished. You know when you hear about “development hell” for a creative project? That's where this book was for some time, and I hate waiting. I hate it as much as early mornings and children that scream when you're hungover, but I've become a little more used to it since beginning this book. So, I'm going to take the opportunity to apologize and thank you in advance for your solidarity, as you are going to have to wait just a little while for the next book in the series. I want to make it as great as I can, as well as hear feedback from you about this book, so I think a little more waiting won't kill anyone.

In the meantime, you can sign up to my email list
here
so you can be the first to know about it, as well as get the exclusive cool stuff I'll be sending out like short stories, artwork and the like. If you want to hear more from me or get in touch, head over to my
website
and drop me a line.

Soon, you're going to be prompted to leave a review. Reviews are how authors can gauge if their writing is hitting the mark or not. It's how they get into the minds of readers who might not ever contact them again, and find out what they really thought of their work, as well as an opportunity for you to share your feelings and interpretations. It's a connection we make, and in that spirit of making a connection, I'd appreciate if you can leave a review and share your thoughts, whatever they may be. Also, if you think any of your friends or acquaintances might enjoy it, feel free to share.

I'll be keeping an eye out for you, and if you hear any thoughts in the back of your mind that you feel shouldn't be there, don't worry. I'm sure it's nothing.

Yours entirely,

Neil Rochford
