The Night Crew (36 page)

Acknowledgments

My very deepest thanks to all those who contributed to this book, particularly Alan Turkus, who acquired this manuscript and is such a pleasure to deal with; Kjersti Egerdahl, who had the thankless task of overseeing every aspect of its production and did so with such care and grace; Charlotte Herscher, who so expertly performed the editing miracle of making it readable and, I hope, enjoyable; and Sherri Dietrich, who did the very skillful copyediting. This was my first book with this outstanding crew, and it was such an unmitigated pleasure that I sincerely hope there are many, many more. Also my usual thanks to Luke Janklow and Claire Dippel, my agents, my friends, and my beloved coconspirators.
