Authors: Hearts Calling

Tracie Peterson (13 page)

“That makes two of us,” Jim teased.

Pamela pushed her husband away and turned as if to walk off. “I bare my heart and soul, and you insult me. Maybe you should just go on the honeymoon by yourself.” She’d only taken three steps when Jim crossed the distance, seized her abruptly, and threw her over his shoulder. Pamela giggled loudly, pleased with the turn of events.

“This kidnapping thing could get to be a habit,” Jim announced, marching down the hall. “I guess a body just has to listen to the heart’s calling in order to know what’s best to do. Mine tells me I’m in for quite a life with you, Little Bitty Gal.”
