When Sparks Fly (Sexy Secrets Book 2) (18 page)

He gives me a slight chin nod, letting me know he heard me.
I rise from the table intent on preparing something to eat.  The ‘workout’ I
got last night has me starving.

“I gonna make a couple of hoagies – you want one?”

He finally turns and looks at me and gives me a slight
smile.  “Yeah, that sounds good – make me two.”

I go about pulling all of the ingredients out of the fridge
and place them all at the end of the table.  Before long, Judah joins me in
making the sandwiches.  We work together in peaceful silence while we make the
hoagies.

A while later we are sitting at the table, eating our
hoagies and chips.  Chewy is fast asleep next to the pantry in the wicker
basket that has been his bed since his first visit here.

“Where’s Liv?”  Judah asks after finishing off the last of
his second sandwich.

“She’s still asleep,” I respond, trying not to smile.

He makes the obvious move of looking at his watch then back
at me.

“It’s almost noon.”

“I’m aware.”  I take a sip from my water bottle, still trying
to hide my ever-widening smile.

“You wore that ass out, huh?”  He gives me a wolfish smile.

I playfully shove his shoulder.

“Shut up asshole.”

He gives me that signature Rossi grin.

“I’m just sayin!  And by the look of your face, I would say
that my statement is accurate.”

I chuckle, thinking how I woke her up throughout the night
because I couldn’t get enough of her.

Because I needed more.

Because I couldn’t get close enough.

Because I couldn’t get deep enough.

I snag his empty plate and stack it with mine as I rise from
the table.  I rinse the dishes and put them in the dishwasher.  I decide to
talk to him about what I have had on my mind for the past couple of weeks.  I
go back over and sit next to him.

“So, I think I am going to ask Liv to marry me.”  I side-eye
him and he side-eyes right me back.

“You
think
?”

“Okay, I
know
, I am going to ask her to marry me.”

He turns in his chair and gives me that Rossi smile again.

“Are you serious?”

I nod my head and he engulfs me in fierce hug.

“I am happy for you Bro.  When are you going to ask her?”

“That is what I wanted to talk to you about.  I mean, I know
I am going to ask her and I am going to pick out a ring this week, but I don’t
know if I need to ask her father for her hand or whatever.  That is what Wood
did with Ivy, he asked her stepfather – right?”

“Wood is British, he does all that proper gentleman shit –
that doesn’t count.  I would say do what Charlie did – but Charlie absconded
with our baby sister and eloped.  He was lucky that Pop or us didn’t beat his
ass.”

I grin, knowing that he is right on both counts.

“What you do is let her dad – fuck – her mom too, know your
intentions with their daughter.  That way, you are letting them know your plans
without asking permission.”

I know what he’s saying is true, but I still have
reservations.  “But what if her dad objects to me marrying his daughter?”

He gives me a look that lets me know I am being a dumb ass.

“Isaac – you have met her dad – that man likes you even
though he gave you a hard time.  When they came to visit back in July – he told
Pop you were a good kid – which means you are golden – you have nothing to
worry about.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah, Bro - besides, if he did have a problem with you
marrying Liv – you would still marry her, wouldn’t you?” he asks.

He was right.  Olivia is my world and nothing is going to
stop me from marrying her and spending the rest of my life with her.

“Yeah, I would.”

He grins at me.  “So when do you plan on asking her?”

Chapter
12 – Sonoma

Olivia – Thursday Travel Day –Day 1

Normally, I am not a fan of traveling.  While I love getting
to my destination, I don’t necessarily like the ‘getting there’ part.  No
matter how much I plan or extra time I give myself, I always feel rushed and
out of sorts.  However, so far I don’t feel that way, probably because I am
barely awake.

Our flight leaves at 6am, so we are up way before the crack
of dawn.  Before we leave his house, Isaac pretty much herds me around like a
cattle dog might, keeping me on track.  He makes sure I don’t fall back to
sleep once he wakes me up.  When I linger too long in the shower, he comes to
fetch me.  He knows I don’t like waking up early so he is patient with me while
still herding me along.  He makes sure I have my ID, my cellphone and all my
other important stuff in my mini backpack/purse that will be my only carry on.

After arriving at the airport and checking in, Isaac takes
my bag and puts it into his much larger backpack – freeing me up to not have to
worry about carting around anything.  I stuff my cellphone into the pocket of
my cardigan sweater.

Once we go through security, he takes my hand and doesn’t
let go.  Even when I wander off to look into the window of some of the closed
stores, he keeps my hand in his.  I have noticed all the guys are like this
with us girls.  Even Maddie and Judah – they don’t hold hands of course, but he
always has her in his sights.  Ivy once told me that the guys have always been
protective of them (which now includes me I guess) and that they always look
out for us.

When we get to our gate, my phone pings with a text
message.  I pull it from my sweater pocket and see that it is a text from
Isaac’s mom.  She and Isaac’s dad volunteered to keep Chewy while we are away.
I open the text and see a picture of Chewy asleep in an oversized dog bed.  He
is cuddled up with a small stuffed teddy bear.  I smile and quickly show Isaac
the picture.

He wraps his arms around me, pulling me closer to him as he
kisses the side of my head.

“See, I told you he would be fine.”

As we sit in the gate area and wait for our flight, it dawns
on me that this is my first time traveling with a guy other than my father or
brother and I like it very much.

The flight from Richmond to Detroit is an hour and
forty-five minutes and I am kind of excited about flying first class – a first
for me.  Everyone else is flying first class too as the guys are tall and did
not want to be cramped in coach.  When I asked Isaac the price of the first
class ticket, he just said they were reasonable.

Another first for me – a guy paying for my vacation.  I
still feel weird about Isaac paying for my portion of the trip.  He keeps
telling me that the trip is an early Christmas present.

When I was invited on the trip, I was all for paying my
share, but no one would tell me what I owed – citing that I shouldn’t know what
a gift cost.  Apparently, Isaac told them not to tell me the price.  Therefore,
I searched online for comparable trips and I have deduced that Isaac has gotten
me a very expensive Christmas present.  I have tried several times to give him
money and he has refused each and every time.

I will admit that being in first class is nice.  My seat is
very roomy and it is nice that the flight attendant addresses me by name.  We
land in Detroit and we have a three-hour layover, which affords us the time to
eat a nice breakfast in an actual restaurant and not just breakfast sandwiches
from one of the many fast food eateries in the terminal.

The flight from Detroit to San Francisco is five and a half
hours and once again, I am really glad Isaac splurged on first class tickets.
I spend most of the flight tucked up under his arm as he sleeps and I watch a
few movies on my personal video screen.

After landing in San Francisco, we approach the baggage
claim area.  I’m tucked under Isaac’s arm shuffling along sleepily.  I didn’t
fall asleep until about an hour before we landed and I could definitely sleep
some more.  After we collect our luggage, I see Wood talking to an older man in
a snazzy black suit who happens to be our driver.

The driver leads us to a black shuttle bus.  The guys help
him load the luggage in the luggage compartment as the girls and I board the
shuttle.  When I climb the few stairs onto the shuttle, I am stunned.  It is by
far the most luxurious shuttle I have been on.  I survey my surroundings as I
sit in the first empty seat I come to – it is leather and oh so comfortable.
The large leather seats are in pairs and are facing the back of the shuttle at
a slight angle.  There is an overhead TV mounted on the back wall of the
shuttle showing advertisements for various wineries and vineyards.  Underneath
the TV is a console that has a variety of beverages and snacks.

I feel someone sit beside me and plant a kiss to the side of
my head.

Isaac.

“You okay Liv?” he asks softly as I try not to stare in awe
at everything.

I nod.  “I’m just still sleepy.” I fib.  I don’t want him to
think I am not accustomed to traveling ‘in style’.  When it comes to travel, I
have always been frugal.  It is apparent that Isaac and the rest of the gang
are used to this type of travel, as none of them seem fazed by the luxury
shuttle.

“Well, we have about an hour and a half ride to the rental
house; you can take a nap if you want.”  He kisses the side of my head again
before whispering, “That way you will be well-rested when I keep you up all
night.”

I stifle a groan as he nips my ear.  I can’t look at him
right now because if I do, I am liable to jump him and strip him naked.  He
chuckles softly as he keeps his mouth to my ear.

“I couldn’t keep you up last night because we had to get up
early this morning, but tonight I plan to make up for that,” he all but growls
out.  I shudder with delight as his deep voice vibrates though me.

I do end up taking a nap on the way to the house.  Isaac
wakes me about five minutes before we arrive at the house.  As the shuttle
climbs the hill to the house that will be our home for the next nine days and
eight nights, I can feel my excitement growing.  The vehicle finally comes to a
stop in a semi-circular driveway and I think my mouth drops open in awe.  Isaac
showed me the pictures of the house via the rental website, but those pictures
did not do justice to the view I have right now.

The Mediterranean style villa looks like it was plucked
directly from some vineyard estate in Italy.  Everyone is chattering excitedly
as we exit the shuttle.  The guys once again help the driver with the luggage.

A smartly dressed man exits the front door of the house.
It’s the rental agent and he’s here to give us a quick tour of the property.
As we follow him from room to room, Isaac has his hand curved around the back
of my neck – his thumb slightly massaging behind my ear.  I’m ready to get him
back to our bedroom so he can strip me naked and have his way with me.

A piercing whistle rents the air and we all turn to Judah
who is standing in the foyer.

“Before we all go about our business, I just want to remind
everyone of the main rule of the house while we are here,” he says in a serious
voice.

Zoe and Ivy immediately start to giggle.

“And what rule is that?”  Charlie asks with obvious mirth in
his voice.

“No sex in the common areas of the house,” Judah replies as
he gives pointed looks to Zoe and Charlie then Ivy and Wood.

“Amazing that needs to be said, isn’t it?”  Isaac whispers
to me, his lips brushing the shell of my ear.  A shiver runs up my spine right
before my eyes go deer-caught-in-the headlights-wide when Judah directs his
pointed gaze our way.  Isaac’s wraps his arms around me, pulling me back
against his chest, almost in a protective manner.

“I don’t know why you are looking at us.  You have never
caught us doing it out in the open,” Isaac says matter-of-factly.

“True, little brother, but there is a first time for
everything.”

Isaac is right, Judah has never caught us having sex in any
common areas of their house but that is not to say that we are innocent.  We
have fucked on every flat or semi-flat surface in that renovated farmhouse.

Olivia - Later than night –shortly before Midnight

Our bedroom is at the end of the hall on the east side of
the house.  The room is spacious with a California king bed dominating the
room.  The best feature is in the ensuite bathroom though; there is an outdoor
shower that is accessible via a glass door in the indoor shower.

Right now, Isaac and I are outside on the private patio that
is attached to our bedroom.  More precisely, we are sprawled on the oversize
lounger.  As I sit astride him, I look down at him.  His eyes are closed and
he’s breathing hard.  I find myself smiling.  I think I wore him out.

I am also leaking – eeww.

I quickly scramble off him and do an awkward shuffle-walk
back into the bedroom.  Somehow, we ended up making love on the patio instead
of in the bedroom.  I make my way into the ensuite bathroom and clean up.  I
return with a hot washcloth for Isaac.  He hums in contentment as I go about
cleaning him up before I toss the towel through the open patio door.

“What are you smiling at?” he asks sleepily, peering up at
me with those eyes where I get a glimpse of the sweet little boy inside.

I smile bigger as I settle back in his lap, straddling him.

“Oh nothing…it’s just seems like I wore you out tonight…and
here I was thinking you were going to keep me up all night.  I think you might
be getting old Mr. Rossi.”

Isaac’s 37
th
birthday was a few weeks ago.

“But that’s okay,” I lean down to give him a quick kiss.  “I
think I’ll keep you anyway.”

A flash of something wild flashes in his dark eyes right
before he deftly flips me over on my stomach and pins me to the lounger; I can
already feel him getting hard as he grinds his hips against my ass.

He dips his head and whispers darkly in my ear, “Old, huh?”
He uses his knees to spread my legs and then he slides into me.  “Let me show
you old.”

Olivia - Day 3 of Sonoma Vacation

Note to self – never tease Isaac about being old.

It is two days after I made the old comment and every time I
stand up (or sit down), I can still feel him.  We haven’t made love since the
first night because I have been too sore, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t cum.
Isaac has used that perfect tongue of his to make me lose my mind.

I sit down on the barstool at the kitchen counter and I only
feel a slight residual soreness.  I prop my chin up with my hands as I watch
Isaac make our dinner.  Everybody else went into the nearby town for the
afternoon and evening, but we decided to stay at the house and chill.

He comes over with a glass of white wine, a devilish smile
playing on his lips as he winks at me.  I even think his dimples are winking at
me.  He drops a kiss to the top of my head, setting the wine glass in front of
me.  He snakes a hand down between my legs, cupping me lightly there.

“I’m sorry that your pussy is still sore Baby Girl,” he says
for like the umpteenth time.  As he turns and walks away from me, I catch a
glimpse of his full-on smile.

Let’s me be perfectly clear - Isaac is not the least bit
sorry and you can best believe I won’t be calling him old ever again – teasing
or otherwise.

Isaac - Day 5 of Sonoma Vacation (afternoon)

The atmosphere in the luxury SUV as it climbs the long
driveway to the rental house is still exuberant.  The guys and I have just come
back from our second and final day at the racing school and we are still amped
up from lapping the racetrack at break neck speeds.  Judah pulls the SUV into
one of the garage bays.

“What time are the girls getting back?”  Charlie asks as we
all climb out of the vehicle and enter the house.

“I think that their last vineyard stop is at four or
four-thirty then they are going to head to an early dinner afterwards, so they
should be back by seven or eight,” Judah replies.

While we have been at the racing school the past two days,
the girls have been doing their own thing.  Yesterday they had a day at a local
spa to get pampered or whatever they do at the spa.  All I know is that when I
made love to Liv last night her skin was beyond soft.  Today, they have been
touring various vineyards for wine tasting.

Once in the house, we all go our separate ways, no doubt to
shower and wash off the dirt and grime that our day produced.  A little after
6pm, after we have showered and eaten dinner, we are all kicked back in the
large TV room watching a basketball game when all of our phones start
chiming/pinging, indicating we each have a text message.  I pull my phone from
the pocket of my sweatpants and I have a text from the shuttle driver.

We hired a shuttle bus to drive the girls around to all the
vineyards for their wine tasting – matter of fact the driver, Nick, is the same
one who picked us up from the airport.

Shuttle driver Nick - Change of plans – no dinner tonight
for your young ladies – will be at house in about 5 minutes.

I look up and it is apparent that we all received the same
text.  We abandon the basketball game on TV and make our way towards the front
door.  A few moments later, the sleek black shuttle bus pulls around the circle
drive.

“Why do you think they skipped dinner?”  Judah asks.
