Yellow Ghost: La Femme Selita Prequel (5 page)

I was aware that my college professor went to this gym across town. I wasn’t stalking him, well not technically. I had a membership and had been going there for three months. I made sure our paths didn’t cross until a week ago.

He had noticed me but I was sure he wasn’t sure it was me. My gym clothes were in total juxtaposition of my law student apparel. I wore Harvard t-shirts and sweatshirts most days. I wore tight spandex gym shorts and a fitted Harvard t-shirt that I cut up to expose my bare midriff yesterday. That still didn’t give him the nerve to approach me.

Maybe he just didn’t recognize me. Maybe he wasn’t quite sure I was his mousey student that sat in the first row of his lecture hall. But the Harvard t-shirt should have given him a clue. I had to take matters into my own hands. I couldn’t let him move at his own pace. If I did I may never get my legs open.

I had to be proactive if I wanted to lose my virginity. I should have known he wouldn’t make the first move. He was a professional. Young female students practically through themselves at him and he ignored every single one of them. I liked that about him. It made him more attractive, at least in my eyes. He was a challenge but no challenge was too great for me. I didn’t believe in boundaries or obstacles. I didn’t believe in danger either.

My Prof was in a vulnerable state. I knew his entire background and I would take advantage of it and get what I want from him.

Today I wore a skimpy tight workout outfit. There was no way in hell he wouldn’t notice me. Plus I would accidentally bump into him on purpose.

Professor Cavil didn’t notice me approach him. He was sitting on a weight bench drinking water from his water bottle. His head was tilted to the ceiling and his wet hair was molded to his sweaty face. He was pretty damn sexy in his scholarly way.

“Professor Cavil.” I cheered his name because I had seen other women act all chipper when stating a man’s name. His water bottle left his lips. His blues peered up at me.

“Hi.” Was he going to pretend he didn’t know me? He couldn’t pretend not to see the glistening sweat that covered my cleavage and pooled at my bare midriff. Men are so predictable. “Miss Padron.” He was stating or asking. I’m not sure. I don’t like being unsure.

“Yeah it’s me, Selita.” I rocked up on my heels a few times to make my breasts bounce. I’m going too far but I want him to be the one that shows me the ropes.

“You look different.”

“Yeah I guess.” I shrugged. “Is this your gym?”

“Yes.”

“This is my gym too. I never seen you in here before.” I lied.

“It’s more private than the gym on campus.” He pushed his hair back off his forehead and tried to keep his stunning blue eyes above my shoulders. He failed.

“I suppose so.”

“You did an excellent job on the last exam. It was by far the best in class.”

“Really? Thanks. Oh yes, I need to talk to you about the upcoming assignment. I’m having trouble.”

“You are?” He said it like he didn’t believe me.

“Yes, if you have a minute after your workout. I really, really need your help.” Begging works, I do it with my Father all the time.

“Of course.”

“How long are you going to be? I have all my notes in the car.”

“Ah I’m done.”

“Great, I really appreciate the help Mr. Cavil.”

“It’s my job to help students.”

I gave him my innocent smile. “I’m going to shower. I can meet you at the diner on the corner in like twenty minutes.”

“Okay, twenty minutes.” He stood.

“Oh my god. I really appreciate the help.”

“It’s no problem. I’m here to help.”

I clasped my hands together in front of me and pushed my breasts out. He quickly took a glance and stopped himself. How cute.

“See ya in a sec. Going to shower.” I smiled.

“Yeah me too.”

I walked away from him. I knew he was watching my ass. It was one of my best assets. Was I going to have to seduce him? Or would he come willingly. Mr. Cavil was a hard nut to crack, so straight-laced, so clean cut, so professional.

I walked into Martin’s Coffee Shop on the corner. I spotted him right away. He was sitting alone in a booth drinking tea or coffee.

“Hey, sorry.” I took the seat in front of him. “It takes girls a little longer than guys to get dressed.”

“I completely understand.”

I giggled because I had seen other young woman act that way.

“So Selita what seems to be the issue with the assignment? It’s hard to believe you have any problems with assignments. It all seems to come so easy to you. Sometimes I think you could teach the class better than I can.”

“Geez Mr. Cavil that’s funny. Can I get a drink first?”

“Oh I’m sorry. What would you like?”

I would like for you to take my virginity. “Coffee if that’s okay.”

“Anything else?”

“Glazed donut.”

He smirked. “Be right back.” He hopped from the table and went up to the counter. I watched his nice tight ass in his jeans. I have to have him. I sound like a spoiled child in my mind. It’s like he’s a toy I just have to have. I should be ashamed but I’m not. He is who I want and I will have him.

I spread a few legal pads out on the table to help further my cause. I had to camouflage my true intentions.

He walked back to the table with my coffee and my donut.

“Thank you.” I said as he placed them on the table.

He slid in across from me. “You’re welcome.”

“So you wanted us to find three legal precedents that could make this case get overturned in the appeals process. I could only find two.” I took a seductive bite off my donut. I knew how to work food. I had seen enough raunchy, seductive and downright nasty things in my short life. I knew how to entice a man, any man, maybe not a gay man but that’s still up for debate.

“It’s there Selita. You have to search for it.”

I licked my lips. “I’ve searched but I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Can you give me a hint? I leaned into the table aiding my breasts to spill out of my tight sweater.

Mr. Cavil leaned back. “A hint, you know I can’t do that. You will find it.”

“Why not give me a hint?” I overtly flirted. “Who is going to know?”

I had surprised him with my actions and words. He pressed his lips together.

“Miss Padron, sometimes I think you are much smarter than you let on.”

“Mr. Cavil, clearly you are as smart as I always thought you were.”

“I believe that is a commendation.” He smiled at me in that flirtatious way and then thought to remove it. I saw his emotions display over his face when he recalled I was a student.

“Yes Mr. Cavil it certainly is a compliment.” I swirled my finger around the rim of my mug and watched as his eyes followed my finger. “How’s your divorce coming along?”

“My divorce.” He grimaced. He thought about my words and he grimaced again. “I never mentioned that in class.” The wrinkles creased his forehead as he watched me with skepticism.

“No you didn’t mention it in class.”

“Well how do you know?” He whispered for no reason I could understand.

“If I told you I might have to kill you.” I joked. I was bad at joking. He didn’t think it was funny. I made him nervous. I smiled when I realized how badly I wanted this man to be my first. He was very attractive, almost rugged but very studious. I even had a few sex dreams about him.

His blue eyes bared into mine as he watched me. He arched one brow. “You would have to kill me, now?” He regained his composure.

“Yes Mr. Cavil. I would have to.”

Finally he laughed out loud which was rare. He was such a serious guy. “Do you know my wife?”

“No I don’t know her.”

“Well, how do you know about the dissolution of our marriage?”

“Sorry, I’m not going to tell you how I know you’re going through a divorce. You shouldn’t worry about it. I would never share that information with anyone. I would never share anything that transpires between us with anyone.”

“Nothing has transpired between us.” His frown had returned.

“Yes that’s true for now.”

“Forever.”

Now I laughed. “Never say never, that would be lying.”

“I think it’s safe for me to say never.”

“I think it’s not safe.” I pressed my lips. I like a challenge.

“Why not?”

“I’m an expert at reading a persons body language. The body never lies.”

He gave me a nervous chuckle. I was making him uncomfortable. “Is that so?”

“Yes Mr. Cavil, your body doesn’t lie.” I licked my lips and watched him come undone. He snapped out of it sooner than I hoped.

“Look Selita what part of the assignment do you want to discuss with me?”

“Are you upset with me?”

“No, I-I-ah--”

“I’m sorry Mr. Cavil.” I let my words hang in the air.

“Sorry, why are you sorry?”

“I lured you here under false pretenses.”

“Why would you do that?”

“I have a good reason. I have always admired how you have stayed so focused. So clean.”

“Clean?”

“What I meant to say is professional. You obviously are very attractive. You try to downplay your looks. I understand. I obviously do the same. We both know I have never dressed this way on campus.”

“No you haven’t that I’ve noticed. You are more covered up on campus.”

“Yes I am.”

“I don’t know where this is going.”

“I must be candid with you. I dress frumpy and matronly because I don’t want anyone to be attracted to me. I’m at Harvard for academics only, with the goal to someday have a law degree, past the bar and become a lawyer. I don’t want any attention from males or females. I want to be faceless, a nobody, a ghost.”

“Everybody is somebody. You talk to people. You have friends. I don’t understand.”

“I think you do. You do the same thing because you don’t want any attention from your female students. I think you took your marriage vows seriously. Your soon to be ex-wife didn’t.”

“Selita this conversation has stepped completely out of the boundary lines between student and teacher long ago.”

“No, not really. We are both adults.”

“You are my student, one of my brightest students.”

“Yes Professor, your adult student that doesn’t need quid pro quo or anything else to get good grades. I’m already an A plus student. I don’t have to flirt with you to get good grades.”

“Okay that’s true but--”

“Drop the brick wall you have built around yourself and feel free to engage in adult conversation with me. I’m not a student in your lecture hall. We’re not on campus. This is not some lurid sexual liaison. This is just a conversation between a man and a woman. Jeremy, talk to me like we are equals. You don’t have to be afraid of me.”

“I’m not afraid of you.”

“Sure seems that way Mr. Cavil.”

He looked me square in the eyes. Oh that look is so sexy. “Well, Miss Padron, I’m not afraid of you.”

“I can see that. I like this side of you.”

“What does that mean?” He asked. He was now engaging.

“You’re guarded but hostile. You are good at hiding your true self. But I’m a master at reading people.”

“I wouldn’t say you’re a master but you are one hell of an actress.”

“Is that a compliment?”

“It could be. You are nothing like the Selita from my class. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were her twin sister. There has to be a logical explanation for this change in behavior.”

“No, I’m an only child. This is the real me.” I leaned into the table so my breast would spill out just a little further. Jeremy looked into my cleavage. Like most men he couldn’t help himself. It wasn’t the first time he checked me out today. It won’t be the last. He tried to hide it but I saw it and that was all the confirmation I needed.

“If this meeting is not about academics than why am I here?”

“Are you ready for the truth?”

“That’s all I’m ever ready for.”

“Would you believe me if I told you I was a virgin?”

“What? I, I, I this is not appropriate conversation.” He stuttered and I liked having that affect on him.

“I know you may feel this is out of line.”

“I do, I really do.”

“Here me out. I happen to find myself extremely attracted to you.”

“I am flattered but I do not fraternize with my students. Ever.”

“I can just drop your class.” I raised one; I don’t give a shit eyebrow.

“You’re my best student.”

“Right so I don’t have to say these things to pass your class.”

He swallowed hard. “I’m still legally married.”

“Not for long. She’s seeing someone else but you know that already.”
