Cowboy, Take Me Away (Montana Cowboys/ Country Music) (3 page)

The space was suddenly smaller once he was in it. Her heartbeat was thumping in her ears when he reached past her to grab the manly smelling soap and began actually taking a shower with her, rather than ravaging her as she hoped he would do. Her eyes followed the path of his hands and soaked in the sight of his naked flesh. She had been working out lately, so she felt pretty good about her body. She was still soft in some places, but rock hard abs was never going to be her goal as long as she maintained a subtle addiction to ice-cream sundaes.

He didn’t have an ounce of fat on him. Wordlessly, he reached out and stroked her shoulder, then he shifted their positions so he could fully rinse off. When he tilted his head back under the water, she looked at the line of his throat, followed it down his body to his navel. He wasn’t unaffected by her nakedness as evident by the hard cock jutting out towards her. He was proportionate to his size, meaning large, and she was unable to stop her body from reacting anymore, she stepped forward and kneeled down.

He was too tall for her to get on her knees and do this. Frustrated, in a mid-kneel, half standing, but completely awkward position, she looked up and watched his face turn to an amused expression. He held his hand out to her and she took it. He pulled indicating he prefer that she stand completely. He turned off the water and opened the shower door.

Feeling defeated and a bit silly she reached for the towel. He didn’t bother to dry himself off. He stepped forward, picked her up and carried her out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. He climbed into his king size bed and placed her gently on it. His lips on hers before she could say a word, their bodies did all the talking.

He slid a hand between them, found her anxious and already wrapping her legs around his hips to urge him inside. He positioned himself at her entry and pushed through the resistance of her unsexed flesh and finally said something. “Christ, you’re tight.”

Guys didn’t like geeky girls. She had been a bit awkward and goofy for most of her life. She didn’t come into her body or her brain properly until she was in her twenties. She had good reason for being tight. She held back the reaction to the discomfort and let him push through it   until he shifted her hips and suddenly everything she thought this should feel like was true. “Wow, that’s really, wow.”

“You can say that again.” He lifted up and looked down at her, still inside, still rocking his hips forward. He kissed her deeply, starved, and then lifted away to whisper her name, “Alexandra.”

Her full first name on his lips had her arching up to meet him thrust for thrust. His throat worked, her body hummed inside, the strange sensations spread through her, began overwhelming her, everything pulled tight inside. “Something’s happening…wow, okay, wait, whoa, wow.”

He made a low groan and reached between them. The moment his thumb stroked over her clit she knew what all the fuss was about. The world stopped and she kept spinning off into space. His voice brought her back to the moment as he continued to praise her and warmth entered her core. He let all of his weight rest on top of her and he breathed heavily in her ear. Her body still pulsed, sparks still surged and waned through her.

Her fingers stroked the line of his back, tracing his spine up and down slowly. He kissed her ear, her neck, and then said, “Too heavy?”

“No,” she whispered. He was, but she didn’t care. She could settle with the shallow breaths and constricted lungs if it meant keeping him right where he was. He felt her suck in another breath and lifted up.

She could breathe again. He looked at her with an easy smile on his handsome face. “I’ll shift.”

“No,” she firmed her grip on his back. “I want to keep you close to me. I’m not a hundred percent sure this isn’t some crazy dream, and at any minute I’ll wake up and be in a hotel somewhere, and I won’t bust in on his wedding, but yours, and…”

He chuckled. “What are you doing in Montana, Lexi?”

“This,” she squeezed her legs around his hips and her inner walls squeezed the semi-hard cock still inside of her.

“Yeah, but for how long? Huh? You’re not going to rescue a dolphin in the local lake.” He tried to pull out again and she gripped his hips tighter with her thighs and his back tighter with her hands.

“As long as you’ll let me.” She knew in her heart this is where she belonged. She knew it back then. She was just too afraid of how she felt, what it meant to her goals and dreams. “I can rescue other things in the lake. I can teach at the community college or the high school. I don’t know what I am doing other than trying to convince you to let me stay here and do whatever it is I can do.”

He moved his hand and put his arm outside of hers before rolling them to their side. She frowned at him, tried to get closer. He chuckled again. “I might let you hang around a while. At least if you’re here you won’t be sending me pictures of strange men. You should hear the way they talk to me at work now.”

She just wanted to keep hearing him talk. “What do they say?”

Okay so he had talked more last night than he had in his life. He wasn’t sure what was different about her, about that moment. Maybe it was because he had been waiting over three years to know what she felt like. Maybe it was because she fit him perfectly. He wasn’t sure, he just knew he was going to wear them both out because he had years of pent up frustration to exercise.

He looked at the clock and the red lights showed the number two followed by a zero and a five. He reached out to touch the soft body next to him and sighed with contentment as his hand found her hip. He slid his fingers around to her abdomen and pulled her back towards him. She started to roll, but he didn’t need her to put in much effort. He kissed her neck and she pressed back against him with a lusty sigh.

His hand tested and her legs moved to allow him access. He had her wound up in record time. It did great things to his ego to know she wanted him as much as he wanted her. Maybe she hadn’t had sex in all those years either. He didn’t want to know. He wasn’t going to ask. Certainly, he wasn’t going to at a time like this.

He moved enough to push into her from behind, and then slid his hand up her creamy, smooth, naked flesh to play with her already budded nipples. Lexi was fit, but soft in all the right places. She wasn’t muscular, just toned at her arms and legs. As he slipped into her, sheathing himself completely, he couldn’t help it, he had to tell her, “You’re perfect. God, it’s like you were made just for me.”

He wasn’t going to last very long. Hell, he wasn’t sure how he woke up with a raging boner to begin with. He should be tired after the wedding, the shock, the sex, and the talking. Instead, he was taking her again and feeling more savage about it instead of less.

“I think I was,” she whispered. His fingers slid down her body and then began circling her clit as he thrust harder, faster. Hoping she could get over that ledge before him, but he was running towards it pretty fast.

As the first pulses of her orgasm gripped him he admitted, “You’re the best I’ve ever had.”

“You’re all I’ve ever had,” she said before she cried out his name. He felt wildly possessive as his orgasm ripped through him. The urge to put his mark on her was so strong he actually started to bite her before thinking better of it. Breathing heavy, feeling sated for now, he held her close and liked that she didn’t try to pull away from him. She didn’t want to get up and shower. She was content to let him remain right there or anywhere else he wanted to be. He was feeling drowsy and melodramatic again. Before he could stop the thoughts they were pushing past his lips and forming sound.

“Do you think you love me, Lexi?” he asked her quietly. Unsure if he could accept any response other than yes from this woman, he waited with baited breath for her answer. “Lexi?”

She jerked and made a hum noise. He chuckled and pulled her in tight. He was glad she was asleep. He didn’t want to ask her that. He wanted her to tell him unprovoked.

Lexi was awake before his alarm clock sounded. She had started coffee and was bent forward looking in the refrigerator when a large, male hand popped her on the ass causing her to yelp. He smiled easier today. She practically glowed.

“Good morning,” he said as he pulled her up for a kiss. She had wondered what was taking him so long since she heard the shower going moments after the clock went off. He sat her back on her feet and she let her hands touch the crisp fabric of the uniform.

“You have to work today.” It was a statement not a question.

“I just thought you might want me to handcuff you so I put this on for effect.” He was teasing her but the thoughts flashed through her mind just the same.

“I hadn’t thought about it.” She slid her hand to his lower back and the two sets of handcuffs on the leather belt. “I suppose you might need both sets. What do you think?”

He practically growled at her. She smiled as he said, “I think I need to put in for some vacation time.”

“A whole week as your prisoner.” She touched the buttons on the shirt and looked up at his mischievously. “I’d have to do whatever you say, you know.”

He was thinking about it. She was sure his brain was working overtime with thoughts of what he could do to her because he smiled more wolfishly this time. He looked like he might just handcuff her then. A thrill shot through her and he didn’t miss that either. He stroked the side of her face with the backs of his fingers and then tipped her chin up as he bent down to kiss her lips.

When he let her go she was breathless, warm all over, and throbbing with need. He winked and said, “You have my number if you need me. I’ll call when I get a break. If you need help getting any of that stuff inside, text me and I’ll get someone over to help.”

He headed out the door picking up the hat that gave him a very distinct sheriff look on his way out the front door. He didn’t take coffee, he didn’t eat breakfast. She plopped down into the kitchen chair and smiled. He expected her to bring all of her stuff into his house today. She wasn’t going to question it. He would not have offered if he didn’t mean it. She knew that for sure.

Roy didn’t get a chance to call her. Sometimes they could go days, weeks, even months without an incident. Sometimes it was as if they needed triple the force they had to handle the amount of calls. It was one of those days. A woman had a baby on the side of the road on the way to a hospital. Then there was a four car pileup thanks to a hill that was difficult to see over until it was too late to realize an accident was already there. Add in a few tourists who thought an open highway was an invitation to go Mach-five and his day was steady paperwork and pains in the ass.

He had almost forgotten she was at his house. Almost. When he opened the door he was greeted with the aromas of food. Real food. Real food he did not have to cook for himself. She had him so off balance this morning he ran out without so much as a drink of coffee. He hated eating fast food and only resorted to it, like he did earlier that morning, when he had to.

He hung the Smokey in its place by the door and dropped his black gear in the chair nearby. He secured his weapon in the safe and traveled farther into his home, still not sure where she was. He heard the sound of running water and looked into the bathroom to find her turning off the tap. He never took a bath, but it was obvious she had filled that tub for one of them. “Hey.”

She made a surprised yelp and jumped to her feet so quick he thought she was going to throw something at him. “Roy!”

He smiled as she held her hand over her heart and blushed with embarrassment.

“Expecting someone else?” He liked teasing her.

“You, only less quiet when you come home.” She stepped towards him and he studied her as she moved in to both kiss and hug him. He wasn’t used to this kind of attention. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to get used to it either. She hadn’t seen a winter in these parts and that did in more relationships than he cared to count.

Still, as her soft lips left his he had to force himself to let her go. “How did you know I was coming home?”
