Lost In Our Darkness (Demons Of Darkness Book 2) (5 page)

I stared at Cheyenne and then at Nitro. "That works. Everything you could possibly need is in his diaper bag or his blue duffle bag."

"We got him Trix. Go take care of your shit. Just don't be stupid about it."

Nix came up behind me. "Ready."

"Almost." I leaned into Zae and kissed his head. I took him from Nix's arms and handed him over to Nitro. "I need a drink. Then let's get this show on the road." I left them and went to the bar. Waving my hand at the bartender, the prospect made his way over to me.

"What can I get you ma’am?

"I need a six pack. And whose dick does one need to suck to get an eight ball around here." I winked at him.

The prospect just stared at me. When I felt someone come up behind me.

"That would be me." Nix dropped a small bag of blow in front of me. "You can pay me later."

I opened the bag and poured out a small pile right on the bar top. I pulled a glass off the stack behind the bar and used it to crush it into a finer powder and used a square cork coaster to cut the lines.

Nix handed me a twenty and I rolled it up sucked a line up. Shit. It had been awhile since I had done this. It burned at first. Then when I tasted the drip down my throat everything went away. It was just me and a feeling of euphoria. I closed my eyes as I reveled in in. Then sucked up another line. "Fuck." I opened my eyes and took a beer from the six pack and opened it taking a long drink.

I cleaned everything up and stuffed the baggie of coke in my pocket. "Alright let's do this shit." I grabbed the six pack in one hand and my opened beer in the other and followed Nix into the room they kept reserved for when Rally stopped by. I dropped the six pack on the chair and pulled my shirt off first then my pulled my sports bra over my head. I slipped the flannel on backwards and laid down on the table.

"What we doin Trix?"

"Covering this fucking shit up."

"I'm out. You know what you gotta do Trix. Make the right choice." I heard the door shut and looked over at Rally. He was older in his mid forties. His hair was cut short. The normal mohawk he used to wear was gone.

"You want this whole thing covered up or just part of it?”

"Just get his fucking name off of me. What are my options?"

"Well. Since we are only dealing with this little section I say do what Nix did. Let's cover it up with roses."

"No something else. I don't want to match him."

We decided on lilies. I laid as still as I could sipping on my beer as the needle pressed into my back. I felt a tear escape as I thought about what I was doing. I was erasing him from my skin. Removing the last mark of him. Ending something I never thought I would do. But it was time. I needed to realize that when I left I broke what we once had. No matter how much I still loved him. It didn't matter. We were through. When the outline was done we took a break and I put my bra back on. I didn't need it off since I wasn't covering the whole thing. Nix didn't need to know that though.

I cut a few lines and offered one to Rally. He Inhaled his lines quickly and I laid back down so he could finish the cover up. The buzz of the machine was soothing as I felt each and every second of the needles piercing my skin. When he was done I had one more request. A small quick tattoo that would sum up my life. A heart beat that went into a flat line. Then it would come back a faint little beat.  Down my rib cage.

When he finished with me I cut another line for the both of us and cracked my last beer. "You got work to do or was it just me tonight?"

"I got to do one more."

"Well when you’re done come have a drink with me."

"Will do."

I grabbed my shirt and made my way back to the bar. The old ladies were all drinking wine and huddled in a corner booth. I dropped into an open bar stool next to Red.

"Long time no see Trix."

"Yeah. So what's new and exciting around here?" I looked around. There were some new faces I hadn't seen before. Their cuts claimed demons but patched as nomads. "Like him." I pointed to a guy I hadn't seen before. His head was shaved and from what I could tell from across the room he was fucking hot and definitely someone I could let out a little aggression on.

"Payne, nomad, and no strings from what I know."

"Perfect."

I looked down at the necklace I wore around my neck. I needed to take it off and hand it over. I lifted the medallion and stared at it before dropping it and unfastened the clasp.

"You sure about that Trix?"

"Didn't you see where I just came from?" I felt a tear fall and quickly wiped it away. I jumped off the barstool and turned around giving him a view of my back.

"Well shit. Never thought I'd see that."

"What did you expect he's got a wife and a kid. I never expected him to wait on me after I left. I knew what leaving meant. It's all good. Nix and I had a good ride but that's finished. And the only thing between us is our son and this club."

"Son huh Trix. That's why you left isn't it."

"Yeah. That's why I left and that's why I didn't want to come back. But here I am. And now it's time for me to face the consequences of my actions."

"Grow up did ya."

"Hahahaha asshole."

"I'm glad you’re back. Never a dull moment when your around."

"Why does everyone say that?"

"Well Trix. All I know is that you got that look in your eye and you ain't got Nix or anyone else to take it out on and well the ones who you can, they got no idea what's coming for them."

"You know I have calmed down a bit."

"Sure ya have."

"Well Red. It's been real nice talking to you but I need to let loose a bit and this just happens to be the first night in a while I haven't had to rock a baby to sleep so I'm going to take full advantage of it."

I winked at him as I walked away. First I needed to give this necklace back to Nix. Then the night was all mine. I pulled the flannel on as I walked over to the old ladies. Zoelle was in between Krista, Venoms old lady, and a prospect who looked like he was ready to shoot himself in the head. I plastered a smile on my face as I reached them. The conversations stopped as I stood there. "Here." I held out my hand to Zoelle. She hesitated at first then held her hand out. I dropped the necklace into the palm of her hand and walked away. I didn't wait to see the look on her face. I didn't need her to rub salt in the wound. And I was not going to cry another fucking tear over Nix.

"She do it?" I asked Rally as I dropped in the chair in front of him.

"Depends on what you’re talking about."

"She wasn't in here long. She get the whole thing covered up or what?"

"Nah Nix she didn't." He shook his head.

"Fuck. Why can't she just do as she's told."

"You want my opinion?"

"No."

"All right then. What we doin tonight?"

"Fuckin T-shirt me."

"You sure about that?"

"Yeah just fucking do it."

"Who's name?"

"Well sure the fuck ain't Trix, my wife Rally. You remember. You were there."

"We doin the whole name or Zoe?"

"Zoe."

He nodded as I pulled off my shirt.

We decided on a scrip and he drew her name on my chest. Right where a pocket of a t-shirt would be. I looked in the mirror and nodded. It was just a name. The name of my wife. It didn't matter that I didn't love her. She was what I needed. But she just didn't have my heart. She never would.

It took Rally about forty five minutes to finish the tattoo.  I handed him a wad of cash and together we walked out to the bar. I looked around the room. Zoe and the rest of the old ladies were sitting back in a corner booth. Away from the craziness. I scanned the rest of the room stopping when I saw everyone gathered around the pool table. Trix was in the middle of it all. Standing there in a pair of black yoga pants and one of my red flannels. Looking as if she should be in a workout video not surrounded by my brothers. Payne was standing in front of her. All I saw was red. Who the fuck did she think she was. I stormed over to them and grabbed Payne by the shoulder pulling him away from her. She wasn't his to touch. She was mine.

"What the fuck Nix." Trix pushed me in my chest bringing my attention back to her.

"What do you think you’re doing?"

"Me? What are you doing?"

"I’m having some fun with my new friend here and you have no right to fucking say a damn thing about it."

"That's where you’re wrong. Trix you’re mine."

She laughed in my face. "That's real funny Nix. Whose name do you have tattooed on your chest and whose name did you cover up?"

"That doesn't mean shit Trix."

"Oh but it does. See you erased my name from your skin and I did the same thing." She turned around. There it was, my name was covered up with three lilies.  The rest of the tattoo was still there.

"Nix." Zoelle shit I forgot about her. I turned around. She held up the chain that was once Trix's.

"Fuck, Zoe this doesn't concern you."

"Ah yeah it does Nix. I'm your wife and I'm carrying your baby. This concerns me.  If you  can't let her go then this stuff between you and me doesn't mean shit. When you married me that ended everything between you and her. So make your choice Nix. It's either me or her." Zoelle pointed to Trix.

"Walk away Nix. That's the only way this is going to work." Trix light a cigarette and blew the smoke in my face. Fucking cunt.

"Fuck you Trix," I mumbled under my breath as I turned around throwing my arm over Zoelle's shoulder and walked away. Zoelle was right. What me and Trix had was over. It may have ended but I wasn't anywhere close to being able to walk away from it.

"You can't do this anymore Nix."

"I know, I'm sorry babe." I wasn't sorry though.

"She had her chance and she walked away. I know it's hard especially with her coming back and surprising everyone with Zaiden. But Nix. We have a baby on the way and this shit between you and me. It's what's important. Don't let her ruin that."

"I won't babe. Don't worry. She will be gone soon and this will all be over."

She smiled up at me as we walked back to my room.

"Ohhh and that new tattoo. I love it."

Chapter Seven

I took a deep breath and pulled the Baggie of Coke out and did a few lines to distract myself from Nix and Zoelle. She had the life I walked away from and as much as I hated her for it, I was the one who did it. I finished doing the lines and cleaned up my mess using my finger to clean up any little residue I had left and rubbed it in my gums. With my mouth now numb and my coke back in my bra I turned to find Payne behind me. I threw my arms around his neck pulling him closer to me. "Sorry about that mess."

"No worries Trix. But I need to know that things are really over between you and Nix. I like you but I'm not going to get in the middle of you guys if there is something going on."

"I walked away from Nix a long time ago. He just hasn't gotten that through his thick skull. Whatever was between us is long gone."

He smiled down at me. "Good. How about we take this little party somewhere a little more private?”

I nodded and slid my hands down his chest. Grabbing a hold of his leather cut and pulling him towards my old room.

He held a bottle of whiskey in his hand as I drug him along. “Trix I’m giving you one last chance to tell me no. Once I start I’m not going stop. And you won’t want me to.”

“I’m sure. Just be careful with my back here.” I pointed towards my lower back.

“Oh I’ll be gentle we’re just going to have to be creative.”

He pushed me back against the bed until the back of my legs hit the frame, as he stared down into my eyes as I stared back at him. His green eyes bore into me lighting a fire inside of me I thought couldn't be lit by anyone but Nix. This was all the proof I needed to know I was making the right decision. I licked my lips as his mouth descended on mine. His lips pressed into mine soft, gentle. But I don't want soft and gentle. I opened my mouth against his sucking his bottom lip into my mouth and biting down. He growled as his mouth opened to mine. Our tongues colliding with one another as our kiss turned more and more urgent with need. His hands made their way from my hips to just under my bra before pulling it up and over my head causing us to separate. I pushed his cut over his shoulders and pulled at his shirt as we both kicked our shoes off. I pushed his pants down over his hips as I stepped out of my yoga pants leaving us both naked. I raked my eyes over his muscular naked body. When I met his eyes he came to me our mouths crashing together in a frenzy as if we couldn't get enough of each other. He pulled me to the bed dropping down with me on top of him as he leaned back on the bed. His rough hands explored my naked body stopping between my legs. I moaned into his mouth as he slid a finger into me. Slowly he moved it in and out of me. It wasn't enough I needed more from him. I wanted all of him. His hand slid away as I positioned myself above his cock and slid myself down it’s length gasping as I felt myself stretching to fit him inside of me. I looked down at him as I rode him. Staring into his forest green eyes, his hands massaged my breasts as I rode him.
