Second Lies (The Second Life Series) (15 page)

“Are you okay?” I asked as I planted a kiss on the tip of her nose.

She nodded her head and uttered, “Deeper.”

Slowly, I pushed myself further inside.  It was maddening, but the deeper I got the wetter I could feel her getting.  Her nails dug into my back in a way that confirmed this.  Sweat trickled down my face as the excruciating pleasure ran through me until finally I was all the way in.

I took both of Adriana’s wrists and pinned them over her head, trapping them in my firm grip.  I pulled out, and in a deep thrust, pushed myself back inside of her as far I could go.  She screamed below me.  I continued the blows.  Her huge tits bounced with every movement.  She was so perfect.  It was driving me crazy.

I released her wrists and bent down, so I could suck on her nipples.  She pleaded with me, “Again, Wes, again.”

How could I deny a girl like that?  Her begging had me thoroughly pleased.  I pulled out and flipped her over so her ass was up in the air, my favorite position.  I stood up on my knees and pushed myself inside, sinking in even farther than before.  Her ass cheeks rested against my abdominals in such a perfect way that it made my eyes roll back.

I grabbed onto her thighs and pounded myself inside of her.  She screamed my name into the mattress, so I continued to push into her harder and harder.  I stopped and dug my finger into my mouth, so it was nice and wet.  I went around her leg to her
throbbing clit and teased it until I had her coming around me.  Her muscles inside squeezed and tormented my hard cock.

Once she had hers, I grabbed her by the thighs again and pounded her against me, faster and faster
, harder and harder.  In a rippling effect, I pulled out my cock and came all over her ass.  Her cheeks covered in the thick, white fluid.  It had me wanting to fuck her all over again, but I had already pushed my luck enough tonight.  I didn’t want to push her too far, not yet anyway.

After I cleaned her off, we just laid in bed together, staring up at the ceiling, thinking God only knows what.  It was heaven for me though.  I needed this.  I needed her.  Whatever it took, Adriana Ward would be mine again, and nothing was going to stand in my way.

Reluctantly, breaking the silence, I asked, “Do you want me to leave?  I won’t spend the night if you don’t want me to.”

There was a long pause, but finally, she said, “Stay.”  Triumph, yes, that’s exactly what I felt after tonight.  I kissed her forehead and let our problems drift into oblivion because right now nothing but she and I were important.
It was the best sleep I ever had.

It wasn’t often that I decided to cook a complete breakfast for just myself, but something came over me.  Being with her like that was amazing.  After spending an entire night with Adriana, my home was no longer feeling so lonely anymore, despite her not being here to share it with me.  It almost felt bearable to be in the place where the girl I love broke up with me and walked out of my life.

“I guess my brother’s back
.  You’re actually smiling for once,” Garrett said, examining me and removing his coat and putting it into the closet. “Last night must’ve been your way of getting me back for missing the Tristan Party.  That fucking, little bitch was hell.  Why did we agree to do this event?”

“Because her mom is the producer of Philly News, and we want the good press.  Tell me you didn’t scr
ew it up,” I threw some bacon in the pan and started frying it. “Are you just getting home now?”

Garrett
loosened his tie and groaned, “Yeah, I stayed late as hell and drank an entire bottle of scotch after surviving that party.  I decided not to drive back until I got some sleep.  To answer your question, no, I didn’t fuck it up.  She just pissed me off, really tested my patience tonight.” I could feel him looking at me, examining me.  This was the first time in a long time that I acted even remotely happy.  He had a reason to be skeptical. “Did you get laid?”

“Yeah,” I plopped a piece of bacon in my mouth and started chewing it.

Garrett high-fived me, looking genuinely relieved.  Ever since the breakup, I’d been acting like a complete asshole.  Normally, we got along, but lately, I wasn’t getting along with anybody. “Who’s the lucky girl?  Tell me it’s that sexy blonde from the Baldwin Party, the one with the huge ass and tongue ring.”

“Better,” I nodded, thoroughly impressed with myself. “I think I’m getting back
together with Adriana.”

“What?  You fucked
her
?” Garrett shouted.  I nodded.  The whole atmosphere changed. “What the fuck are you doing with her?”

“Calm down,” I became immediately defensive. “I know I’ve been an asshole lately, but I’m getting her back.  Things are going back to normal.  I’m tired of not having her.”

“You’re making a big, fucking mistake, Wes.  I’ve spent three months dealing with your shit.  I’m not letting her come between Holden Industries!”

“And she will if I’m not with her.  She’s mine,
Garrett.  I’m not giving her up,” I turned off the stove, picked up the pan and slammed it into the sink, suddenly losing my appetite. “Fuck, this shit isn’t even your business.  I never said a damn word when you got Michelle pregnant for the second fucking time, and she’s a cunt.” I raked a hand through my hair and glared at him from across the room. “Don’t try and fuck this up for me.  You know what I’m capable of.”

“Fuck you,”
Garrett picked his keys back up. “You don’t have any idea what the hell you’re doing!” He slammed the door shut as he walked out

Chapter 15

Bliss.
Yes, I was completely blissful when I woke up this morning to Wes’s kiss.  Relief.  That’s what I felt when I realized everything from the night before was real.  Joy.  Every muscle, every inch of my skin was consumed with it when he promised to come back tonight for us to do it all over again.  Alive.  For the first time in three months, I truly felt alive…until my phone started ringing.

I clicked answer, “Hey.”

“What the hell are you doing with my brother?” Garrett roared into the receiver.

Shit, I thought I’d have more time before I’d have to confront this issue. “Baby calm down, it’s not what you think.” I lied. “He just showed up here.  Front Desk told me it was Mr. Holden.  Of course, I thought it was you.”

“Yeah, paint the picture for me.  Do you want to tell me what position you fucked him in, too?  How could you, Adriana?  I trusted you.  He’s my brother.  You’re my
girlfriend
.”

“Come over tonight.  I think you’re confused about some details,” I stood up and faced myself in the mirror.  My hair was a mess from sex.  Lord, I loved this look on me. “We’ll get all of this straightened out, just you and me, like before.  Don’t lose faith yet.”

There was a long pause and then a heavy sigh. “Fine, I’ll see you tonight for dinner.  I can be at your place around 7.”

“Good,” I smirked. “I’ll see you tonight.”

I hung up the phone and dialed Wes.  It rang a few time until he answered it breathlessly, “Hey, what’s going on?”

“We should talk,” I gulped. “I have to tell you something.”

“What?”

“Do you remember how I said I was involved with someone?”

His voice was strained, but he forced out, “Yeah, I remember.”

“Well, I can’t meet with you tonight because I’m seeing him.”

The words stumbled out of his mouth, “Adriana, don’t go back to that guy.  You know we can work-“

“I’m meeting with him tonight to tell him that it’s over between us.  I want you, Wes.  I want to be with you.”

He laughed.  I could almost see him smiling. “Okay, that’s great.  Call me when you’re done.  Maybe we can salvage whatever’s left of tonight.  We should celebrate.  We should celebrate
us
.”

I stripped my clothes and walked over to the dresser to grab something clean to wear. “Oh and Wes, there’s one more thing.”

“Yeah?”

“I love you.”

I envisioned his smile growing larger as he breathed the words that made me crazy in the best way possible, “I love you, too.”

There was a knock at my door.  I closed my eyes and rubbed my temples with my fingertips.  After breathing a sigh, I walked to the front door and opened it.  Bethany stood raising a bag of Chinese food.  A smile came to my lips, and I invited her inside.

“This smells amazing,” I said while grabbing two glasses and filling them with red wine. “What did you bring?”

“I’ve got sweet and sour chicken for you and broccoli with roast pork for me,” she said while removing the containers from the bag. “Oh, and a couple of egg rolls to share.”

I dug into the savory chicken and relished in the perfect taste of authentic Chinese food.  God, it was good living so close to China Town.  With a mouth full of food, I said, “Thanks for coming over and bringing dinner.  This is amazing.  It totally doesn’t go with my diet, but Craig will get over it.” I laughed. “I can handle a couple more sit ups for this.”

She laughed and grabbed a bite of pork with her chopsticks, a skill I have yet to master.  She asked, “So are you going to tell me why you asked me to come over so suddenly with the best/worst food possible?”

“Do you remember when we were kids on the softball field?” She nodded her head, munching on some rice and broccoli. “We used to be best friends, but then something made
me hate the world we grew up in.  I abandoned you with the rest of that world, and I just wanted to say that I’m sorry for that.  You’re the only friend I have that’s not judging me for every, little thing that I do.  I can trust you.  I appreciate that.”

She put down her chopsticks and swallowed her food.  She cleared her throat, “Now, I’m really grateful for this walk down memory lane, but do you have a point?  You’re making me a little nervous.  What happened?”

“I slept with Wes last night,” I exhaled.

Bethany started laughing hysterically.  She rolled her eyes and said, “Is that it?  Good for you, both of the
Holdens within 24 hours.  I’m impressed, Ms. Ward.  Any girl would drop her panties and bend over in a heartbeat just to get a good look at
one
of them.”

“I’m breaking it off with Garrett tonight,” I cleared my throat and grabbed an egg roll, taking a bite to soothe my stomach.  My nerves were running wild. “It was never Garrett.  He was just a distraction, an adrenaline rush, the closest thing to Wes I could get my hands on.  I guess Gloria was right about that part, but I’m never telling her.
I just can’t take being the girlfriend of a married man seriously.” I took a sip of wine and grinned. “Did you know they have the same eyes?”

“Eyes?
Yeah, it’s hard to notice their eyes when you’re trying to picture what size their dicks are.  I’m so jealous of you,” she said in between bites. “I can’t believe you landed two of the hottest guys I’ve ever seen, and they’re
fighting
over you.  What are you going to tell Garrett when you see him?”

“I have a plan,” I stabbed a bite of chicken and chewed it slowly. “Hopefully, it goes my way.  He’s coming over in a little bit, so we’ll see what happens.”

Bethany finished off her glass of wine, and I poured her a second, “I’m going to the library after this to study for a test I have in the morning.  Call me tomorrow, and tell me everything that happens.  Leave out nothing.”

The intercom buzzed.  It was the front desk, “Ms. Ward, there’s a Mr. Garrett Holden here for you.”

“Shit, he wasn’t supposed to be here for another hour,” I gulped.  My stomach did a somersault to remind me of those nerves.

Bethany grinned, “Well, you better prepare yourself because he’s here now.”

I ran over to the intercom and pressed the button, “Yes, thank you.  You can send him up.”

Bethany pulled on her ivory Steve Madden pea coat and grabbed her purse while I disposed of the food.  As she pulled open the door, she said, “Good luck.  Don’t forget to call me tomorrow.” With that she disappeared out into the hallway, and I continued to make some last minute preparations for Garrett’s visit.

Only a minute or two passed until there was a pounding knock on my door.  I knew this moment was inevitable, so I didn’t waste any time answering it.  I raced out of my bedroom and turned the knob.  Garrett was standing in a teal dress shirt, loosened tie, and slacks.  His normally well-kept hair was a mess, which somehow managed to heighten his sex appeal.  He wore an animalistic stare, primal and raw, full of possessiveness when he looked at me.

I gestured into my apartment, and he stalked inside, immediately spotting the two glasses filled with wine on the tabletop that I forgot to empty. “Are you fucking other guys too or is my brother here to be jerked off again?”

“No one’s here,” I crossed my arms. “That glass is for you.  I figured a little wine might relax you.”

Cautiously, he made his way over, looking down the hallway and around the corner.  He grabbed the glass and gulped the entire thing down.  He shot a look in my direction.  Pain thick in his eyes, he asked. “Why’d you do it, Adriana?  Why’d you do it?”

I stalked over to him and picked his head up within my hands.  His breath quickened as I touched him and our eyes met.  In barely a whisper, I demanded from him, “Show me that I’m yours.”

For a split second, he was corrupted by confusion, but he didn’t dwell on that.  His eyes smoldering, he kissed me.  He bit at my neck and sucked on the flesh.  His breath came hard.  His hands searched my body, desperately.  He tore at my blouse.  The buttons fell to the floor, anticipation running thick in my blood.

“Bedroom,” I choked out.

He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder as he stalked into the bedroom, kicking open the door.  He threw me down on the bed and fought to remove my jeans.  As I lay on my back in just my underwear, he marveled down at me.

“You’re perfect, you know?” Garrett took the time to suck and bite at my nipples.  My back bowed beneath him, but he used the pressure from his hand to keep me planted. “You’re enough to drive a man crazy, and you know it.  You have to know it.  That’s why you do what you do.”

Slowly and meticulously, he pulled down my underwear, examining the lace fabric within his fingers.  He tossed it to the floor and licked his way up my thighs.  He dug his tongue into me and then traced it around my pulsating clit.  I screamed, but he didn’t stop.  He was relentless, devouring me desperately.

He kissed up my stomach to my lips, leaving me slick and wanting beneath him, heated desire consuming me.  My body trembled with his fingers thrusting into me.  He groaned into my mouth, “You’re so wet for me.”

“Only for you,” I choked out.

Garrett stood up, pulled his pants down, and his shirt off, exposing a massive erection and glistening muscles.  Staring into my eyes, he mounted me and inserted himself inside.  My body conformed to his large size, taking whatever he was willing to give.

Through hooded eyes, I looked up at him, watching his primal instincts take over as he pushed in and pulled out.  He picked up his pace, still remaining wide eyed as he looked down at me, searching for something.

Finally, with one heavy thrust, he pushed himself deep inside of me, yanking down my waist to meet the crushing blow.  I cried out, “
Wes
!”

Garrett stopped.  The air changed between us.  He pulled himself out, panting and drenched with sweat.  His face was torn into a look of despair.  He stumbled backwards a couple steps, almost like I had just hit him.  He was completely shocked, “What did you say?” There was nothing. He grunted.
“Really, Adriana, my
brother
?”

I pushed some hair out of my eyes and grinned.  As I stood to my feet and swung on my robe, I said, “Don’t be stupid.  There’s a camera recording in here.” I sauntered passed him into the kitchen where my glass of wine waited for me.  I drank down the sweet drink with Garrett coming after me. “Stay out of my life, forget
we
ever happened.  That is non-negotiable.  Do I make myself clear?”

“What are you talking about?” Garrett raked his hands through his golden, blonde hair.  He slammed his fist down on the counter. “What the
fuck
are you talking about?”

“It’s simple.  You keep this whole thing between us, an old memory from the past that no one needs to know about, and I keep that recording of you fucking me just as much of a secret,” courage pulsed through my veins.  I had learned a lot from my time with Dennis Darth.  I learned how to be ruthless and selfish.  I learned how to survive.

Garrett laughed, “Funny, I think a video of you getting fucked is exactly what it would take to screw up everything you have going with my brother.”

“You’re right,” I nodded as I poured myself another glass. “That video being leaked would ruin everything I have with him.  It’d break my heart, and I’d lose Wes forever.  See, the one thing I learned during those three months though is that I can, in fact, survive without him.  It won’t be pretty.  It won’t be easy, but it’ll be worse for you, Garrett.  Think about it.

You have a pregnant wife and a toddler.  You’d lose everything if Michelle ended up with that recording.  One thing I learned from my mother is that a woman who marries a powerful and wealthy man is usually subjected to the terms of a prenuptial agreement.  If Michelle’s anything like Isabel, she made sure to add a nifty, little clause in said document that nullifies everything in that agreement if she’s found proof of you cheating.  Now, the question remains, are you ready to give up everything?

I saw how she treated you at the Christmas party.  Something tells me, she’d go for your balls with that kind of video footage.  You’d lose everything…the businesses, the houses, the money, your brother…the
kids
.” He shot his gaze back up to mine, glaring with fury and balling his fists. “Oh, I guess I found the one that stung the most.  Don’t risk it.  It’s not worth it.  Now, go.  I forewarned security that if you’re not out of my apartment within an hour after your arrival to send someone up to remove you.”

“Fucking bitch,” he breathed as he grabbed his clothes and tore them on. “I guess I should have known.  You were never anything more than a dirty, used, stripper whore.  I shouldn’t have expected anything less.”

“Goodbye, Garrett,” I opened the door just as he zippered the fly of his pants, “and remember what I said, we were
nothing
.  I am
nothing
to you.  What we had
never
happened.  Have a goodnight.”

He pushed passed me out the door, but not after glaring into my eyes.  My face remained stone.  I refused to break.  Wes meant the world to me.  Apart, we were just surviving without one another.  No one would take that away from me, not even Garrett Holden.  I wanted to
live
again.  I wanted to live with Wes by my side.
